Chapter 145: 145. Drunk
The next day.
Izumi and the others already stepped on the Land of Fire. Their current location was around the northeast across from the Land of Waves.
They didn't feel Kakashi's presence in the surroundings. Thus, they decided to rest first while cooking some food.
After they finished eating, they chatted under a shady tree while waiting for Kakashi to meet them.
Izumi took a bottle with clear water inside it. He uncorked the bottle, poured it into a glass, and then took a sip.
"Ahhh."
As soon as he tasted the drink, he felt his mind lighten and seemed to start floating. When he took another sip, he saw Hiiro was looking at him.
"Otamegane, do you want it?" Izumi asked.
"What is that?" Hiiro asked back.
"It's just clear water."
Izumi poured the vodka into another glass which he took out.
"Here!" Izumi offered a glass of vodka to Hiiro.
Hiiro twitched his cheek while looking at Izumi in doubt. And at that time, Izumi took out a lighter while saying.
"The cool thing is, you can light a fire in this water."
Then, Izumi lit his lighter which he brought closer to the water that had been poured into the glass. As soon as the fire in the lighter came into contact with the water, the water immediately ignited and flames covered its top.
Everyone was speechless for a moment. But then, apart from Hiiro who was pointing at him, everyone else coughed up their laughter.
"Motherf*****, that's alcohol!"
Izumi just tilted his head. Then, he responded.
"Is that so? You don't like it? In that case, I'll serve you a glass of tea. Wait for a moment!"
Izumi took out another bottle. But this time, it was dark brown water inside the bottle.
He poured half a glass of "that" clear water, then poured in the dark brownish water afterward. The joining of the two waters caused a color change phenomenon which turned the water color to light brown.
"Here, it's a glass of tea."
Hiiro received the glass in his hand while gawking at Izumi. Then, he tightened his grip.
*Shatter* *splash*
"Fuck! How can you call this a glass of tea? Is nowadays tea made of vodka and whiskey? Are you picking a fight?"
It was clearly shown from Hiiro's expression that he was irritated. And no one could have imagined that Izumi was that crazy.
Everyone couldn't suppress their laughs. And their ringing, high-pitched laughter made the atmosphere loosen.
"Hahaha, I can't believe Izumi-chan became like this."
"It looks like the circuit in his brain snapped and linked to the wrong circuit."
Tabane and Rori commented on Izumi's behavior. If Tabane correctly remembered what Kazuma had told her, Izumi was too easy to get drunk.
And that seemed to be the truth.
Warrod asked Tabane and Rori in a low voice.
"Did something happen?"
Both Tabane nor Rori didn't reply at once. They saw Izumi who once again gulped down another glass of vodka which made his face even redder. Only then did Tabane answer Warrod's question.
"I heard from Rori that he fought with his girlfriend the other day. And looking at the way he is now, I'm assuming that he broke up with his girlfriend. I don't know the exact reason if he broke up, but it's probably my fault as well." Tabane explained while putting a bitter smile on her face.
When Izumi didn't appear in the chat group a few days ago, Kuroneko sent Tabane a private message that she had done something unbelievable.
Tabane got a request from Kuroneko to make her a good camera that could be controlled via a phone. However, she didn't expect Kuroneko would use it to take a picture where Tabane hugged Izumi.
After Tabane told her everything, Rori said to her.
"First of all, you should talk to him! Then you along with Kuroneko should apologize to his girlfriend! Kuroneko was at fault in the first place. And you just got dragged into it."
Following what Rori said, Warrod added.
"What Rori said is true. Instead of feeling guilty all the time, you better have a good talk with him first."
Tabane pointed at Izumi.
"Alright. But, how can I talk with him in that state?"
Warrod and Rori glanced at each other while letting out their awkward smiles.

A few hours later.
Rori looked in a certain direction. From that sight, four figures appeared approaching her location.
"He has arrived."
Then, Warrod reminded them.
"Let's assume we don't know him, and since Rori has been to Konohagakure village, let's assume only Rori knows him." If they were too familiar with Kakashi this time, it would be troublesome for Kakashi.
"But, what about him? He's drunk!"
Hiiro pointed at Izumi.
Warrod pondered. He didn't know what to do with the current Izumi. Luckily, Rori volunteered to take care of Izumi. If Izumi did something weird or unnecessary, only Rori could handle him instantly.
Kakashi approached Izumi's group while looking at their appearances. Their clothes gave off the vibes of a fantasy×modern style.
Warrod was wearing his saint wizard suit. Hiiro was wearing a magic academy-style outfit with a red cape. Izumi was wearing a sleeveless black shirt with a shawl tied as a belt as well as shorts and a pair of sandals. Rori was wearing her black gothic dress. And aside from her metallic rabbit ears, Tabane was wearing a long coat with petal-like edges on both left and right, and showing some of her cleavage which was covered by a dark top, and underneath was a ruffled miniskirt.
Not only that, but Kakashi also saw headbands engraved with an M-shaped symbol.
Oddly, when his gaze turned to Izumi, he twitched. Izumi was sleeping with several bottles of vodka and whiskey beside him.
"Oh, you must be Hatake Kakashi from Konohagakure village, are you?"
Kakashi heard Warrod's question. He seemed to understand that they were pretending not to know him. Thus, he nodded.
"Yes." Kakashi glanced at Rori. Then continued, "You must have heard it from Rori. May I know who you are?"
Both sides started to introduce each other. And since Kakashi's mission was to guide Izumi's group, he immediately asked them to set off.

The scorching sun was already past its peak. Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura were already too tired to walk. Then, Kakashi suggested Warrod rest for a while.
Izumi, who was asleep, felt the scorching heat of the sun and woke up. And Warrod who was carrying him put him down as soon as he realized that Izumi had woken up.
His head was still dizzy and his throat churned up. He felt like going to throw up at any moment. However, he held it.
After a while, his sight was on Kakashi. He lit up his eyes.
"Oh, Gojo Satoru. Hehe, come, come! Show me your Rikugan and your Jujutsu!" He stretched his right hand. Then, the index and middle fingers form a cross. "Domain expansion!"
Everyone was stunned. Rori slapped her own head. Meanwhile, Tabane pointed at Izumi while looking at Rori.
"His brain is literally experiencing syntax errors. Do something about him, Rori-chan!"
However, Rori asked her back.
"Kiss him! Then he'll be sober."
Her words were too straightforward. In that instance, Tabane's cheeks reddened.
"Don't joke around, Rori-chan!"
"Ufufufu, do I look like I'm joking?" Rori responded with a chuckle. Although Rori seemed to be teasing Tabane, she was serious. Perhaps, caressing Izumi was the way to calm him down, but it might be better to fill his desolated heart by using a girl to accompany him. That was her thought.
*Splash*
Everyone was naturally surprised by the sudden appearance of water that splashed over Izumi. It was Hiiro's doing. Warrod himself had not expected Hiiro to take the initiative to use his magic. However, thanks to his magic, Izumi sobered up a little bit.
"Ugh. I feel like throwing up." Izumi muttered. His hand went to his mouth while holding his urge to vomit.
"If you don't want to vomit, don't drink liquor excessively!" Rori warned him. But, it seemed Izumi ignored her.
"Where are we?" He looked around for a moment and noticed Kakashi and his team.
"Oh, Ka—"
Before Izumi could finish speaking, Rori swung her halberd that suddenly appeared in her hand at him.
Izumi swiftly dodged backward. Her attack didn't land on him. But then, he kneeled. A thick rush of fluid filled his mouth, spilled out, then fell to splash on the ground.
*Bleurgh*
A sharp and unpleasant stench filled the surroundings. This made the others keep their distance away from him at that moment.
Izumi felt refreshed after he threw up everything. However, he felt that it would be better if he got drunk without feeling nauseous. That way, he could relieve the stress in his mind even for a moment.
