Chapter 261: 261. Snatching The Baby Elf
"Da fuk, Izumi! Can you pilot properly?"
"Ouch, one of my legs is broken."
There were voices of complaint from two people, a boy, and a girl. Though, the girl wasn't exactly a "girl", since she was a spider monster. They were none other than Hiiro and Kumoko.
For the culprit who made them both complain.
"Hahaha, sorry sorry. The brake is broken!"
He, who was none other than Izumi, just laughed in response to the two of them.
"You're the one who's broken!" Both of them snapped at the same time.
Izumi brought the two of them down the path leading to the underground facility at high speed. He should be able to control his IS. However, it was unexpected that Kumoko was so scared that she pounded on Izumi's IS using her sickle-like forelegs, asking him to slow down.
Immediately, Izumi caught Kumoko's front legs to stop her. However, because he wasn't focused on piloting, he ended up crashing into a wall only a short time after.
Izumi walked toward Rori's direction after he took back his IS that already changed into the shape of a ring. Followed behind him were Hiiro who rubbed his shoulder and Kumoko who cried while holding her sickle foreleg. Then, something popped out of her mind.
'Isn't my foreleg can be used as a weapon? Since it has a sickle-like shape, I should make a scythe.'
Kumoko nodded at her brilliant idea.
"Oya? The tension is kinda heavy. Should I light the firework?"
Suddenly, a woman with robotic rabbit ears walked cheerfully from the underground passage.
Izumi who heard that immediately scold her.
"Silly girl, playing with fireworks in a closed room is dangerous, do it outside!"
"Eh, my darling, this isn't your character. With your sadistic nature, you should have cooperated with me." Tabane complained. But then, she thought something and said. "Don't tell me you wanted to see fireworks with me outside? How sweet you are, Izu-chan."
Izumi twitched.
"How many times have I told you not to call me Izu-chan."
"Hehehe, because it's so cute."
Everyone around the two of them felt the atmosphere was so pinky. Hiiro and Rori might not care, but Kuroneko, Ariel, and Kumoko wanted to slap the stupid couple for flirting without caring about TPO.
Tabane turned to the three of them.
"Don't be jealous, okay? It isn't my fault when I have a boyfriend and you girls aren't. Well, little Kumo-chan might be impossible with her appearance though. Unless she wants to have a spider boyfriend."
Kumoko was annoyed, but she could only say in her mind. "Mr. Spiderman already had someone he liked, okay? Also, who would be willing to be a monster's boyfriend?"
At that moment, Kuroneko who suddenly remembered something let out a smirk.
"Hehe, your words might become a boomerang on you, Tabane-chan. Didn't you remember at that time that guy also said those words, then he broke up afterward?" She immediately pointed at someone, which was none other than Izumi.
"Eh?" Tabane was surprised. He turned toward Izumi. "Eeeehhhh???"
She suddenly jumped and clung to Izumi while saying, "Izu-chan. Tell her that's not going to happen! You're not going to break up with me are you?"
"Just saying. If you're too annoying, I would break you up." Recently, Tabane became more and more overreacting. It really made him uncomfortable. It was better when she act like a villainess instead of trying to lovey-dovey with him.
Tabane immediately let go of him and stood on the side while saying.
"Alright my darling. From now on, I'll train to be a good wife for you."
Izumi shook his head. He sighed.
"Just be yourself! Don't try to force yourself to be someone you can't imitate!"
"Oh." Tabane seemed to have an epiphany, which made her release her sweet smile unexpectedly. Izumi was entranced for a moment when he looked at her smile. Tabane became 100% more beautiful than before in Izumi's eyes. However, that moment suddenly broke when someone shouted.
"Kill them all. Leave no one alive!"
It was Potimas who ordered the robot using a voice command.
Izumi snapped out of a trance. Of course, he was furious about it. It was the first time in a while that he had felt something even so complicated to explain from a scientific point of view: love. He was certainly happy he could feel that kind of affection once again. He was finally able to move on.
At first, a lovey-dovey couple might be suitable for each other. However, it doesn't seem so as time goes on. Some might keep going, some might not.
If a couple once loved each other, even if they broke up afterward, they will definitely reminisce about their relationship. Especially if it was their first love. In other words, the memories of their relationship were never replaceable. However, those sweet memories can be covered up when they have a new love, like what Izumi is experiencing now.
"Fu*k!!" Izumi cussed furiously. Indeed, it was his fault because feelings like that had arisen at the wrong time. Even so, he couldn't help but be irritated, moreover, the one who was bothering him was Potimas who was his enemy. So he didn't care even if he made a mistake.
Using his right hand, he created the wind and pulled Rori, Ariel, and Kuroneko toward him. While his left hand he created a wind sphere in the middle of the robots and pulled them to the center of the sphere like a black hole that pulled any object near it. Everyone who was in the distance of the sphere even felt the suction force, so they could imagine how strong it was if they were near it.
"Tabane-chan, I'll create the opportunity, use your IS, and be ready to grab that baby elf!" Izumi whispered to Tabane.
"Gotcha."
At the same time when Tabane activated her IS, Izumi created another sphere after all those robots pulled toward the sphere he created earlier. And then, a new gigantic sphere formed that trapped all the robots inside. Strangely enough, after Izumi created that gigantic sphere, the suction force of the wind disappeared.
His eyes narrowed, then he let out a smirk. A few moments later, he moved his hands as if he was throwing something heavy in a certain direction he was looking.
Potimas who was already feeling panic became even more panicked when Izumi threw the gigantic sphere in that direction.
"Noo!!!"
Paying no heed to anyone around him, Potimas turned around and ran toward the control room.
*swoosh*
Unbeknownst to him, the baby elf he was carrying had been snatched away. As soon as he noticed a strong current of wind was passing through him, he realized that the baby elf was no longer in his hands.
He raised his head. He saw a glowing red robotic armor, worn by a woman in her mid-20. In one of the robot's hands, the baby elf was carried.
"Hey hey, what should I do with this type of villain?" Tabane grinned happily. All the reincarnators were secured. The only thing left is killing him.
"Go back over here!" Izumi shouted.
Tabane wondered, why not just kill him? But then, she thought about something and activated the radar. When it was active, it showed a holographic screen in front of her eyes. Then, with a thought, she saw something interesting.
"So that's how it is. Hehe, what a sly old man."
Tabane immediately flew back in Izumi's direction. The baby elf being carried by Tabane was frightened because she saw Tabane and the others as enemies. However, she was surprised. She saw one of her students who she thought was dead, and what surprised her was that her student became a monster, that monster was non-other than Kumoko. Previously she couldn't see clearly from a distance, especially when Kumoko didn't show up and only stayed behind in the dark because her abilities in the anti-magic field were limited.
"W-Wakaba Hiiro?"
"Sensei, long time no see."
When they just barely greet each other, Izumi interjected them and said.
"Sorry to disturb your reunion. But, I wanted to perform something dangerous. So be prepared!"
Without waiting for the other to ask him, he moved his right hand to reach out toward Potimas' direction. Moving his hand as if he slapped someone, Potimas who was in the distance suddenly threw toward the gigantic sphere which Izumi's controlled using his left hand. With that, Potimas was also trapped inside the sphere along with the other robots.
He closed his eyes for a moment to concentrate. Then he nodded.
"This amount is enough I think." He murmured.
Suddenly, he took out his laser gun from his storage space. Though the firepower might be weaker than laser cannon, Izumi thought it was enough.
The moment he fired the laser gun toward the sphere...
