"Feeling better?" he asks while drying his hair with the towel.
Sera raised her head and nods a little. She had a complicated look on her face but he found it rather adorable. She was pouting her rosy red lips as if she was deep in her thoughts. Then his eyes fell on the red patch on her foot.
"Let's get your foot dressed first. You didn't have your dinner last night and I know you are hungry." Jinyi said before applying an ointment on her injured foot and wrap it tightly with gauze. "Try to walk on your foot and see if it still hurts." He instructed.
Looking confused, Sera get off the bed and tried walking. Her eyes widened when she felt no pain on her foot and look gratefully on Jinyi.
"It doesn't hurt."
"Then let's go grab some breakfast first."
The dining table has already been set when they came down. Sera looked amazed by the food on the table and felt herself drooling from it. She then felt her stomach rumble and felt embarrassed. JIn Jinyi looked at her drooling face and push her to sit on the chair and give her utensils.
"Start eating. Why are you so careless? I reminded you to eat yesterday."
"What can I do, I felt so tired yesterday and don't have the strength to go down to eat. But I will eat my fill today, thank you." Sera said as she started eating. The food in front of her was delicious and she found it more delicious as she eats. Thus, she didn't realize that Jinyi was looking at her the entire time until she finishes eating. A maid then walks forward and offered her some juice which she gratefully accepted and drank.
"Why are you not eating?" She asks when she notices him with an interesting look on his face as he looks at her. Jinyi's thoughts drifted back to the night he took her. He was rough and was blinded by his desire, so he had no idea of what was its effect on her. Hearing her said that she was tired yesterday, he suddenly felt bad about himself. He should have controlled himself. But what can he do, she was simply addicting and he lost his mind in between desire.
"I already eat my share before you woke up, no need to concern yourself. Have you eaten enough?" He asks and he saw her nod her head.
"Jin Jinyi, why are you so nice to me?" Sera asks out of nowhere. She wanted to know why did he decide to marry her after that night. She was so drunk and she didn't know what happened to her that he let this man ravage her throughout that night. It's not liked this matter was not happening in the world and even he felt responsible he could just think that this does not happen anyway and they will live their lives separately and normal as usual.
"I haven't been in a relationship before and I am not getting any younger anyways. If I ever regret marrying you, then it is my problem. What happened to us has a reason, don't ask me but I felt like If I abandoned you, I will ultimately regret it sooner or later."
"But...'
"No buts, if you have complaints of having me as your husband, complain to me after a month or a year. Now, be good, and let's just savor this married life of ours."
After their breakfast, Jin Jinyi went to the office to work and Sera was left inside the mansion with two maids standing beside her as she read a book to kill boredom.
"Madam, it's time for your lunch."
"Oh!" Sera raised her head and put the book on the table. The maid ushered her to the dining hall and she was impressed again. The table was exquisitely prepared and she thanks the maids for their hard work.
"Madam, have this soup first, it is good for digestion." The maid offered. She blushes and accepted the bowl. She was still not accustomed to someone caring for her. This turn of events made her overwhelmed and felt her stomach flutter...
"Auntie, what about Jin Jinyi?" she asks. Feeling a little worried about the guy. It is almost lunchtime and she knows he was too busy.
"Young Madam, I already have prepared Young master's lunch."
"Oh...Then I'll help you bring it to him. I have nothing much to do anyway. Leave it to me."
Sera cheerfully said as she helps the maid prepared the box. The maid could only smile. She has been working in this mansion since she was young and today she felt extremely grateful for the young madam's presence. The house seems to have become lively because of her.
"Be careful on driving." Auntie Chen said to the driver before waving goodbye to Sera.
It took them almost thirty minutes before they arrive on the Jin Corp. She bid goodbye to the driver and enter the humungous building in front of her. It was twice, no, thrice bigger than Dong Ze's building. She went to the elevator after she asks where is the CEO's office. But after strolling around, she was already lost. And she forgot to bring her phone with her.
"Miss, where are you going?" a tall woman in a black suit asks. She turns around and flashes her a worried smile.
"I am looking for the CEO's office but I think I lost myself. Could you please tell me where it is?" she politely asks fidgeting a little. The woman smiled. Sera found her beautiful and warm.
"I'll escort you there. Do you have an appointment with our CEO?"
"I need an appointment?" how could she forget about that? Jin Jinyi doesn't know she will be coming, will he get mad? But...
Seeing the complicated look on the doll's face, the woman smiled again. She found this little girl loitering around and found her so adorable and pitiful. She almost remembered her little kid at home.
"It's alright, so what is your name?"
"Sera, Yun Sera." sera answered cheerfully. Her smile reaches her eyes and it was glistening with warmth.
"My name is Jun Mei, nice meeting you Yun Sera." the woman said. It took a while before they reached the CEO's office. It should be it. Sera read the plaque hanging by the door, it has Jin Jinyi's name carve on it. She held the box tightly before she reaches to knock on the door.
Before her knuckles reach the door, it was harshly opened. A woman with blond hair exited angrily. The woman did not only walked past her, but she also pushes her aside making her swayed a bit before she finds her balance again. Her eyes narrowed on the woman's back.
"What are you doing here?" Jin Jinyi asks when he saw his little wife standing outside his office in a daze.
"I-I brought you lunch. Have you eaten yet?"
"You came here wearing so little just to bring me lunch?" Jinyi asks again. Looking at her petite body, wearing only a loose white dress hanging on the top of her knee, and given the cold weather outside, he felt that this wife of his was a little dumb.
"I'm not cold, it's very warm actually," she said and look at her husband intently. He looks handsome wearing a business suit. He looks cool and arrogant. A faint smile curved on her face as she pushes him inside the office.
"You look hungry, so I'll help you prepare your lunch, okay. Do you have a pantry here?" she looks around and went to a small room and found the pantry.
After preparing she serve it readily on his table. Fixing the folders away she urges him to eat.
Jin Jinyi shook his head but said nothing and eat his lunch.
" So Jin Jinyi, what are you working about today?"
"You are already married to me yet you still call me so formally, why not come up with some endearment?" Jin Jinyi tease. He saw her blushed and he almost laughs.
"Alright, Jinyi answer my question."
"Wife even if I tell you you won't understand. This is..." he was about to finish his words when he remembers her reading a book on economics back at home.
"Fine, it's about a hotel business I am planning to build in-country B."
"Hmmm, country B was a bit popular but won't you be wasting so much for building a hotel there? Why not try Country C. That country is loved by tourists for its beaches and sceneries. Building a hotel and a resort will come in handy."
Jin Jinyi pauses and thinks for a bit. He has thought of these possibilities but upon hearing it from sera, he thinks it will work out. A resort and a hotel will surely become popular to the A-class and middle-class citizens.
" Wife sure is intelligent. Then let's pursue C Country then. Would you like to accompany me there to buy land?"
"You will take me to C country?" Sera couldn't believe her ears. It will be her first time traveling then.
"Of course. Why don't you want to?"
"I want. I want."
"Then it's settled. We can resume our honeymoon there if you want."
"You! Can you be more serious?" she asks furiously her face was red with embarrassment. She almost recalls that time in the bathroom.
"I am serious. Now, why do you look like it will be your first time traveling... Don't the Yun household so rich that you can travel around the world?"
Yun Sera felt bitter suddenly and her face darkened. This was seen entirely by Jin Jinyi who furrowed his brows in confusion. Did he ask the wrong question?
" The Yun family don't care about me. Can't you tell? I have stayed in your home these few days yet nobody called or ask where I am. They were surely celebrating. Especially that woman." Sera said almost in a whisper but Jin Jinyi heard her. This time his eyes look at his little wife with pity.
" Am I pitiful now? Don't pity me, it will only make me feel bad and perhaps, I am good like this. And by the way, I resigned from my previous job so I am jobless right now. I have another reason for coming here. I want to ask permission to find a job tomorrow."
"Why would you need a job? I am rich enough to support you, stay home, and be good."
"No, No, not good. Jinyi hubby, it will be the death of me, can't you see. I'm so bored that I am dying."
Hearing the word "hubby", Jinyi felt all his defenses fading. In front of this little wife of his, he could not retort her. Especially with a face like a porcelain doll and that soft feather-like voice of hers.
"Sera, why look for a job somewhere when you can work for me."
"You?"
"I'll have someone redesign this office later. You can come to work with me tomorrow." that's right, she should work with him than some random company. This way he could look over her.
"Really?"
"Do I look like someone joking? Dear wife when did your husband lie to you?"
"How would I know, we are only living together for a few days." pouted but she couldn't hide the smile in her eyes.
"Does that mean you don't want to work with me?"
Sera widened her eyes and felt that this husband of hers was a bit shameful. How could she not accept to work here? This company was one of the best. If she works here and that bastard heard of it, won't he die from anger?
" Hubby are you joking, working with hubby is the best choice of course." she cheerfully said with a big smile on her face that reach her eyes. Jinyi found this side of his wife very refreshing and addictive. Thus, he swears to himself that he will always make her smile in any way he could. And if she was happy to work then he would grant her work.
