Chapter 36: I don't feel it!
"So, you just see him as your best friend?"
"Yes!"
"You don't feel anything more than just a best friend for him?"
"No, I don't feel it, I just told you before some hours that I like Noah, not him and he is just a friend to me, mom!"
"Okay! Now I think I should get on. You better sleep!"
"Hm, Good night,"
"Sleep well, mom."
She laid down her head, closed her eyes and tried to fall into slumber.
[That stone got unnoticed by her]
Her mother got out of her room, wandering her mind, remembering about Louis. It was hard for her to see Louis withstanding but the circumstance was against them. She moaned and walked to her room with lots of worries about him.
The next sunrise, she became conscious with the sun rays hitting her face and the curtain was in the feeling because of the air moving toward in, from the window of her room. She sat on the bed and stretched out her arms in the air. Giving rise to her paws in the touch of the cold ground, she made her way to the washroom, to neaten. Thereon taking one hour to finish her morning routine, she moved downstairs to have breakfast with her mother.
"Good morning, mom!"
"Morning!" her mother whispered while putting up with a glance at her figure, getting too near to her.
"Today's is my off so, tell me what you want to do!" she asked her mother while tightening her grip around her belly.
"Let's go to a movie!" she said to which Lisa agreed. Doing some chores, they both got ready to go for a movie and took off from there.
While Louis was still in his bed, not yearning to get up. For him, he wanted to forego everything. Nevertheless, a phone call was enough for him to grab his attention. Without noticing the ID of the person, he picked up the phone.
"Good Morning!" Isabella wished him.
"Morning,"
"Were you sleeping?"
"No, What is it?"
"I wanted to hang out with you for some time,"
"Okay!"
With a lazy figure, he got off his bed and attended to his morning routine. With a T-Shirt and rough trousers, he got in his car to make his way. A single thought about Lisa that day didn't cross his mind because he made sure to not feel sad about that happening. Catching up with her, she got in his car and tried to seat comfortably.
"So, where do you want to go?"
"Your favourite cafe!" she whispered to him sweetly. She was trying to apologise for her mistakes so, she thought to make it up for him. As well she could smell something in between Lisa and him.
Reaching his favourite cafe, they got off the car and moved towards the entrance.
Accepting the seat near a quiet place, Isabella started the conservation. And more of she tried to get to know him.
"So, how's everything going in your life?"
Her words pulled him out of his thinking.
"Everything is good!" he uttered with a hopeless emotion.
"I noticed that something is off with you," she wandered to know about his hardship.
"It's nothing!" he tried to escape from the reality in front of her.
"See I know that something is happening in between you and Lisa,"
Louis was amazed by her phrase, making his pupils large, he looked at her.
"What are you talking about? It's nothing like that!"
"Stop it, and tell me what is it?"
Not letting his feeling out of his heart, he smiled and a tear rolled down his cheeks. He gulped before saying anything.
"It's just nothing but I feel I gonna lose her,"
"What happened? I know that you two were in a connection but a few days ago, I saw that something was missing from you!"
"Umm..she met an accident and lost her memory of the past few years. She just remembered that I was her best friend but not that I was her boyfriend too!" he whimpered.
Isabella felt bad for the happenings in his life, she was cheered for him from the onslaught but the tragedy in between took her away from his friend list. Realising her missteps, again she made an effort to begin their outmoded friendship with him.
Her attention was all on his emotion, pulling her all efforts to get back his relationship with Lisa. Keeping her hand on his, assuring that he was not feeling unfortunate.
"Things take time to get back to perfect as before!" she whispered to him.
"I hope the same," he said.
Both passed a smile to each other. Isabella ordered some drinks and managed to spend more time in his presence.
"Okay so, tell me more about her."
"Why do you want to know about her?"
"Can't I?" she chuckled and paused for him to mumble something.
"SHE'S MY CHILDHOOD FRIEND, WE HAVE BEEN TOGETHER SINCE OUR FIRST PRIMARY SCHOOL. I CAN'T IMAGINE MY FUTURE WITHOUT HER IN IT. I CAN BEAR ANYTHING BUT LOSING HER IS HARD FOR ME. I FELL IN LOVE WITH HER IN OUR SECONDARY SCHOOL. I DON'T THINK I HAVE WORKS TO DEFINE HER BUT SHE STANDS FOR EVERYTHING IN MY LIFE. I KNOW THAT SHE IS ABOVE ALL IN MY LIFE AND WILL BE," he expressed her with emotions, he was so lost in admiring her in his imagination. While Isabella giggled, watching him fall in love.
"And I don't think you need to know more than this!" he asked.
"Through these words, I can imagine that how much you love her even if she doesn't recognise you as her boyfriend," she said while smiling at him.
"Is there anything you want to know or we should head back home!"
"No, I just wanted to ask you about you and now I know so, let's go," she said and moved together with him outside the cafe.
"Dropping her at the front of her apartment, he bid bye to her and went on with driving ahead. He felt so reasonable after the enduring go of his concern for his trunk.
On the other side of the coin, there was Lisa and her mother appreciating the movie. It was an emotional picture, and some scenes from the movie made both of them let go of tears.
But her mother was happy to know that the movie was about two best friends who fell in love with each other.
Soon the movie was over with a happy ending. They both were happy to know that they met in the end after facing so many difficulties in their life.
Getting out of there, her mother whispered some words," it was so beautiful story, I enjoyed it."
"Yes, it was so good but it made me cry. And I couldn't take my eyes off the actress, her character was brave and on top of that, she was so beautiful. I also want to fall in love with my best friend but," she said and stopped in middle.
"But what, Lisa. You also have a best friend," her mother asked her if she felt anything towards Louis.
"BUT I DO NOT LOVE HIM!"
