Chapter 45: After so long

Time passed away, Louis was still with Lisa because she didn't regain her senses. As well as her mother was getting worried for her as it was putting up with so long for her to wake up. Hoping for a good day, their expectation of catching sight of her was losing its way.

Three months passed but there was no further improvement in her condition. The doctors were continuously treating her and after examining her, they didn't see any improvement too.

Her loved ones were losing their hopes, especially Louis, he had been with her every second and then. One day, he was sitting in the living room of his apartment, when he received a text from someone. Turning his gaze to the sound, he held the phone and looked at the text.

[Louis, come here please, fast.]

It was from Lisa's mother, without answering back to the text, impatiently, he grabbed the keys and went on to the way to his entrance.

He was uncomfortable for Lisa as many negative thoughts struck out his mind. He couldn't help but let those thoughts rush into his mind.

"Why am I feeling so weird?" he thought to himself and started driving fast towards her house.

After catching up there, he parked his car in front of the house. Making big steps with a thud sound, he knocked on the front door of their house.

Lasting for somebody to receive him, he stood there, getting restless for Lisa. Her mother putting together steps towards, after conforming to the sound on the entrance. A thread of fear could be caught sight of on her face. Unlocking the door, she welcomed him and asked him to follow her to the room of Lisa.

Passing into the room, he noticed at her state was the same as every day, no movement or anything.

"What happened to her, Auntie?" he asked worriedly.

"I don't know but before some time, she was losing her breath and I tried to contact the doctor but none of them answered the phone call. So, I thought of you came up at that time," she explained.

"And how's she now?"

"She is fine before you a doctor came and treated her. I couldn't inform you because I was scared, even after the doctor had examined her!" she communicated to him.

"Don't worry. The doctor would have made sure that she was fine so, it would be of no use to worry," he assured her that she was doing good. But no one helped him to feel relaxed.

Her mother flinched at the sound of her phone ringing.

"Hello?"

"Ms Ava, I called you because after assessing her current state, I found that now you don't have to worry much about her because she could regain her consciousness at any moment in time," the doctor comforted her with his words.

"Thank you so much. I think highly of your efforts!" she hung up the call and some tears rolled down her cheeks. Looking after her in that state, he got troubled and begged her.

"What happened? Please tell me, Auntie. You are bringing about me scared." he expressed.

"I can not believe his words!"

"WHAT?"

Turning to his face, she passed a happy smile to him, which he found so rambling.

"She would wake up anytime, Louis!" she muttered while dealing with her sobs.

"What?"

"She is all good now!" she cheered him.

"Really?"

"Yes!" she grumbled and felt happy after a long time.

He froze for a moment, it was overwhelming for him to surmise her words because it was so long when he didn't imagine any fortunate about her condition. "I can't believe this Auntie!" he mumbled.

"I just can't wait to see her!" she desired and sat beside her daughter, caressing her hair back.

While Louis couldn't get out of his imagination of seeing her after so long. He smiled while tears formed in his eyes out of happiness.

He gazed at her and adored her weak state with love.

"AFTER SO LONG, I WOULD SEE YOU GIGGLING AND TALKING NONSENSE ABOUT ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING," he mumbled to himself while smiling at his best friend.

"She can wake up anytime so, let me cook her favourites dishes, she must be hungry for so long. I can't wait to see her!" her mother whispered and quickly made her way downstairs. Glancing at Louis, she went away.

While Louis made himself comfortable around her. Without uttering any word to her and bent forward to peck her forehead.

"I didn't know that you would face trouble without me but now I won't let you go anywhere without me, without your childhood ghost. I don't know for how long I have been waiting to see you once. And when the time has come I can not believe that. And now I would make sure to take care of you until you regain your health. Oh, I remember that I have to get you bouquets because I know you would love them. So, I will come in a while." he said and before leaving from there, he pecked her forehead again.

In a hurry and with an expression of joy, he went downstairs to go to the shop and get her the most beautiful flowers. Paying attention to him, her mother noticed a thread of joy on his face.

"Where are you going?" she asked from the kitchen.

"I have to get her something and I can't let you alone do everything for her. I will be back soon," he shouted while getting out of the house.

She chuckled and went on with her cooking.

He caught up with the flower shop, getting inside the flower, he looked for the same flowers that he gonna gift her when he lost her. He went awry to catch up with the same flowers so, he wanted the owner to get him those flowers.

"Please give me bouquets? he said to the owner of that shop.

After getting flowers, he made his way back to her house while gazing at flowers. Driving for some minutes, he faced traffic in his way and made him hiss in frustration.

"Why it has to be now? I just want to go as soon as possible because I don't want to miss any moment with her again," he mumbled. It was taking him so long to get out of that traffic but then he noticed his phone ringing.

"Where are you?" Lisa's mother asked.

"I'm stuck in traffic and I don't know when I'll be able to there," he explained.

"Come fast!"

"Yes!" he said and giggled a little because that moment was full of joy for him. It had been a long time when he saw her.

"I'm losing my patience, please God, help me to get out of here!" he pleaded.

Subsequently 30 minutes, he moaned and started to drive back to his way. And embraced those pretty flowers, kept on the passenger seat. Soon, he reached and carelessly got out of his car. He didn't knock on the door because it was unlocked.

"I'm back, Auntie!" he shouted.

"I'm in the kitchen. And what took you so long to get back here!" she spoke.

Walking ahead in the direction of the kitchen, he whispered to her. "I went out to get her flowers and I got late because of heavy traffic."

"Okay,"

After arranging everything perfectly, she moaned and wandered around if she forgot something.

"Everything is done!" she muttered and calmed down a bit.

While Louis thought of telling his mother about her state.

"I should tell my mom too about her!" he said and excused her.

"Yeah,"

"Hello, mom?"

"Hey, Louis. How are you doing there? And how's she?" she asked him about everything in one go.

"Relax, I called you for the same. " I'm great and Lisa is also doing good. The doctor said that now after some time she would regain her senses." he expressed.

"Oh my God, I'm so happy to know that. I just hope she takes care of herself suitably from now!"

"And how are you doing there?"

"I'm fine!"

"And-" he was cut off by Lisa's mother voice.

"L-O-U-I-S?" she yelled from her room.

"Coming!"

"Mom, I will give you a call in a while and take care of you. I love you!" with that he hung up the call and made his upstairs to look after why she called him all of sudden.

His mother thanked God after Listening to his words.

Entering the room, he asked.

"What-" he stopped in mid when he saw Lisa looking at him. Not able to believe the fact, he blinked several moments. Her mother smiled at him because it was so exciting to both of them to see her like that, back to her senses.

"L-I-S-A?" he whispered.

She couldn't speak any word as she was weak so, she just smiled at him. A tear left his eyes when he saw her smiling at him.

"Thank you, God," he mumbled and fell on his knees.
