Two figures were eating steaming hot ramen inside a big room filled with books.
One had average looks , small black hair and well toned body with muscles containing huge amount of explosive energy.
Other one was an old man wearing black shihakusho unique to shinigami. His face was full of wrinkles but stil had a ruddy skin filled with strong vitality. He was Fukuda sensei who spent most of his time daily in the library of Shinigami Arts Academy.
Fukuda and Takuya both were eating ramen slowly while chatting with each other about some random topics.
" So, how is that kid doing now ? I heard that several upperclassmen were upset with the rude and indifferent nature of that Hitsugaya kid. "
" Tch.. he is not that bad , old man. It's just your personality definitely becomes cold towards strangers when you are ignored for decades. I heard that due to his strong reiatsu, people of Rukongai feared Toshiro a lot and did not even try to approach him. His only closed ones seemed to be Hinamori senpai and his grandma who adopted him. In fact Toshiro did not like shinigami at all and only joined the academy because his reiatsu was unconsciously hurting his grandma who could not withstand it. So he wanted to learn how to control it. Well in short that kid is not bad at heart. "
" Hmm.. you are right, he does not seem bad at all. So, do you plan to make that kid your sparring partner? Hehe.. from the looks of it, you seem to have spent quite a lot of effort to gather information about that kid and from what I know about you, you are definitely not interested in becoming his friend. So the only reason I can think of is that you want another sandbag.."
" Hahaha.. you know me too well old man but your words are harsh. How can you use such a word as sandbag? You know, I am not that violent person. "
" Maybe you are not but it's the truth that you have abused tens of your seniors and sent them for treatment with minor or severe injuries in these past six months. "
Takuya's mouth twitched and he could not say anything to defend himself. It's true that many seniors were too arrogant so he had to teach them a severe lesson sometimes. In fact most of the seniors came to challenge him on their own accord by saying that he was too arrogant and they wanted to teach him a lesson. Takuya was actualy happy with this development because they contributed a lot in the fast picking rate of reiatsu.
Seeing that Takuya was silent , Fukuda could not help but smile. He had a very good impression of Takuya because he felt that this kid was very honest unlike those nobles whom he had dealt with for few centuries.
He had lived for a long time and seen countless students so he can somewhat see through their aptitude and character now.
As for Takuya? Fukuda felt that he was very bright and would definitely become a captain class powerhouse in at most a century.
If Takuya heard the old man's thoughts then he would definitely laugh in his heart because with the help of his system , his reiatsu was already close to a general captain.
What 100 years? He had awakened in this world for about 17 months and would only a few more months at best to reach general captain level reiatsu. Actually if Takuya awakened his zanpakuto then he would definitely reach general captain level reiatsu immediately.
" Wha..." Just when Fukuda was going to ask Takuya about something, he sensed a familiar reiatsu approaching and he could not help but close his mouth and look in the direction of the door.
Sure enough, two seconds later with a "swish" sound a figure arrived and stopped few feet outside the door.
Takuya had also sensed the approaching figure's reiatsu even slightly before Fukuda due to his higher sensitivity so he was surprised when the figure stopped outside the entrance of library building.
On top of that Takuya recognized the figure.
Long white hair, pale skin, gentle eyes and a captain's white haori with kanji of number 13.
Jushiro Ukitake! Captain of Division 13.
Just as images of manga were flashing inside Takuya's mind, Fukuda's voice broke his stupor.
" Welcome Captain Ukitake! Looks like your health is better today..."
" Yes it's better Fukuda san. Sorry for breaking our previous seven appointments.."
" Hahaha.. I dont mind at all. It's a pleasure of this old man for a distinguished captain like yourself to visit me from time to time.." Fukuda laughed and escorted Ukitake inside.
" Hmm.. this young man? Such a good seed!!" Ukitake suddenly exclaimed and his eyes were full of appreciation when he looked at Takuya.
" Isn't it! He is the Takuya kid I mentioned to you few months ago." Fukuda sat down and chuckled when he noticed that Takuya was sitting cross legged with his eyes closed. " I wanted to introduce him to you properly but looks like you will have to wait for a while Captain.."
Ukitake eyes were also fixed at Takuya's figure and he nodded once in response.
Both of them started chatting afterwards and did not disturb Takuya because they knew that something very important was happening to Takuya right now.
In fact they were correct because few minutes ago when Ukitake stepped inside the building , Takuya heard a call from inside his soul and next moment found that his conscious was transferred into a different environment.
He was standing in a huge grass field and a towering tree stood few ten meters in front of him. A small boy wearing a white kimono was sitting under the shade with his back leaned against the wide tree bark and he was looking at Takuya with gentle smile on his face.
Takuya also smiled at the boy and there was no trace of panic on his face despite the sudden change of environment because Takuya could feel that this was his inner world and the boy was the manifestation of his Zanpakuto spirit.
Takuya was overjoyed because for six months he did not feel any response from his Zanpakuto nor he heard its voice. He did not care about the reason for the sudden opportunity and his mind was filled with just curious about the name , personality and abilities of his zanpakuto!
