Chapter 11: Legendary Battle
That was all I needed… A good shower.
I then put on some clothes and went to the living room downstairs.
When mom said she would make more food than usual, she really meant it.
The table was filled with different sorts of foods ranging from sandwiches to just some scrambled eggs.
Father was already eating a big Grilled ham and cheese while Kona was eating some toast with some orange juice on the side.
So I decided to sit on Konas's side and eat some pancakes then I asked dad to pour me some orange juice.
For some reason, there was a strange silence on the table…
Did I do something wrong?

Eventually, I just decided to be silent and eat, enjoying the rare silence.
Silence soon left me when my dad asked me:
-So son, why did you skip yesterday and decided to stay in bed?
-I was a little tired and just wanted some sleep so I crashed.
-Understandable. said dad.
And so silence came back.
-THAT'S ALL?! said my "sister" In a higher tone of voice
-There is no need to scream, it's 7 and something in the morning.
-So tell me why. Said Kona stubbornly
-Didn't I just tell you? I am tired. But if you want a better explanation then it's because the exams are coming and I want to be in top-notch condition.
After hearing this my dad just nodded, proud of his son.
Kona just rolled her eyes and continued eating
Mom then came and sat down with us
-What do you plan to do now? Asked mom
-I am going to relax a bit, but I am not stopping my training though. Yesterday was an exception.
-Did you already check where your exam will be?
-Yup. I checked yesterday morning before I went to sleep
Kona flinched but continued eating
-So where will it be? Asked dad
-Somewhere around the IS plaza on the other side of the city
-Th-that's far… Said Kona
-It 's alright, I will just have to wake up earlier.
-Do you want me to drive you there son?
-Nah, thanks dad, but I think it's better if you help Kona.
Our conversation continued until it was time for our parents to go to work.
Doing as I promised I passed the rest of the week training or studying while using the last day to "rest".
I spent most of my time going over my plan after I entered the school and going over the many possible scenarios. You might think that the hardest part of my plan is how to get an IS core, but I disagree.
If things go just like in the original, then I would just gain a personal IS just like the protag. After all, the original reason why the government gave him an IS was to gather data on him and to find out what was the reason that made him capable of using the IS.
And so here I was walking down the long corridors of the test building looking for my own testing room.
Unfortunately, I didn't meet with Itchika, but that didn't really matter, I would meet him anyway, and in a sense, meeting him just like this would be too much of a coincidence.
Not like the only two men in the world capable of using IS, appearing at the same time in the same place wasn't already big enough of a coincidence…
Upon finding my test room it was time to start. I checked the two sides of the corridor to see if there was anyone coming, and I already knew that there weren't any cameras over here.
When I entered the room, what met me was an ass… The examiner was bending down to pick something up.
-Are you here? Go on and put on your clothes so that we can start the test. Said the woman
I then went and waited in the changing room and after some time had passed I quickly entered the IS when the examiner was looking away, all of this to give the impression that I really put on some of the special clothes. After all, even if he wanted to put the protective suit on, there were only models for girls…
{I think you would look pretty cute on one of those, pff HAHAHA…...}
If you want to know what they look like, they are just like a one-piece swimsuit.
After both of them entered their respective IS, a red light appeared on the ceiling, followed by a yellow, and finally the green one.
The instructor's IS was kind of intimidating, but with my improved mental capabilities, I had nothing to fear. She began charging at me, and by using the immense martial prowess I acquired after years of training I… stepped aside.
Just like what the protagonist did in the anime version.
The result? The instructor passed through me at high speeds and crashed into the wall.
A horn suddenly sounded at the end of the match, and a group of female doctors entered the room and ran towards the instructor. Thankfully she was just confused at what happened and wasn't hurt in the slightest.
One of the reasons why she was terrible at piloting was because of the current "official" use of the IS. According to the "Alaska treaty" the IS could only be used in competitions and sports.
After everything settled down, the instructor looked around to see where the "girl" was who managed to "beat" her in combat.
The "girl" was currently studying the IS. And from the perspective of all the Women in the room "she" was nothing but a curious student.
The situation turned awkward and the "girl" suddenly became a 1,87 tall muscular hunk.
The instructor…
The medics…
Me…
Everyone but me- EHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!?!?
And so the second male that could pilot the IS made his debut.
At the same time in another corner of the city, a girl had just finished her battle against her instructor. The latter was sweating bullets. As it seems, both of them just had an intense battle. That is if you look through the perspective of the instructor, the student on the other hand looked fine.
-Good work student Koyanagi! It was splendid! Where did you learn those moves?
-... hehe… my frie- brother! My brother taught me those moves. He is a great martial artist.
-What a good brother you have… Now go shower, I need to get ready for the next student.
-Good work instructor-san!
-Thank you! You too!
One side was very happy, the other one… not so much.
Someone is following me.
Sigh, I already expected that, but so soon? It was as if they were waiting for that to happen.
Surprisingly after the "incident" in the testing room. The instructor gave someone a "call", more like Jedi-hologram, and soon after received an answer.
She bowed in front of me and said:
-We are sorry Miyoshi-san. Looks like we got some sort of system error and you ended up being affected by it.
-WHAT? Will that affect my score? I said "confused"
-Not in the slightest. But currently, we need some time to process some information, would you mind waiting for our reply at home? There is no need to worry. With your school curriculum, there is no place you can't go!
-Understood, I guess this is fine as well… I managed to pilot an IS after all. I said "innocently"
And like that, I left the examination building.
These people probably aren't here to capture me, on the contrary, they must be ensuring my safety until I enter the IS school tomorrow. Yes, tomorrow. Thanks to advanced computers, processing the information of tens of thousands of students is really fast.
I should go home and prepare the stuff I am bringing into the academy.
