Chapter 21: Jedi Arrogance
The Royal Naboo ship landed on a platform near the senate building. The fighters following the ship were allowed to land on the platform too. After opening the ramp Queen Amidala followed by John, Layla, the two force guards, the twins, and some Royal Naboo guards exited the ship with the two ECDs being cloaked and the other 4 remaining in their fighters in case anything happens.
Now out of the ship standing in front of the new arrivals were senator Palpatine, some guards, and two Jedi. John who had seen the two Jedi thought how fast the Jedi were with their reaction speed to their presence.
As Queen Amidala approached senator Palpatine he looked behind her and seen strange people behind her who had some extraordinary force power. He thought they were Jedi but whenever seen them before but they must be as any unknown force users would be most likely captured by the Jedi or killed as they were a threat. But instead of continuing to think about it he just asked Queen Amidala.
"Miss Amidala what a pleasure to see you so well, " Said Palpatine bowing
"You too senator I hope my stay here is well and we can get the Republic to agree to send a fleet to dispatch those troublesome pirates in our sector," Said Amidala As Pirates have been disrupting trade in the sector causing a decrease in trade on Naboo because of them attacking any trading ships in the sector.
"Yes I hope you can convince them as I have tried and failed" Said Senator Palpatine
After conversing a little with Senator Palpatine Queen Amidala was asked who these strange armored people were who were carrying lightsabers.
Hearing that question peaked the two Jedi's interest as they also wanted to know who these powerful force users were.
"These are my hired guards a mercenary group going by the immortals and their leader here is John" Said Queen Amidala she knows how John sees the Jedi Order so she doesn't say anything about his clan or anything as she doesn't want to lose the trust he gave her by telling her about his clan.
"I see that you are force users and you even have lightsabers that are only supposed to be used by Jedi," Said Jedi 1
"And you have what we thought were Jedi Padawans but they are older than they seem," Said Jedi 2
"Yes we are force users and these two are apprentices of mine are there any problems," Said John with a cold expression
The Jedi seeing his cold expression sensed a little dark inside of him when he said that. But they're only here to invite them to the Jedi Temple.
"Anyway we are here to invite you to the Jedi Temple as the Counsel wants to meet with you and the other force users," Said Jedi 1
"No thanks I have a mission to do so I humbly reject their offer," Said John as he really didn't want to deal with them right now especially Mace who he knew was a Jedi supremacist and would push their ideals on him and he didn't want that right now.
The Jedi hearing him reject the offer tried to convince him to come as they need him to answer some questions about who they were and how they had lightsabers but they couldn't convince him in the end so they went back to the Council to inform them of his decision.
After the two Jedi left Queen Amidala was escorted in by Layla as she would be her protection while inside her chambers but when she was in the senate meeting she would be escorted by John, Layla, and the force Guards. As they walked to Queen Amidala's room John turned around with Kina and Atra and left Queen Amidala to Layla and the two force guards as he walked both Kina and Atra wanted to explore the city so they asked John to go.
John was wary of the Jedi right now so he didn't send them without protection, he sent them with some credits and two ECDs just in case anything happens.
POV Jedi Council
"This is outrageous we need to bring them in now. Letting them continue to run around will bring disastrous consequences for the order" Said Mace Windu
As he said this some council members began talking among themselves trying to figure out what to do with these unknown Force users and what appears to be their leader, John.
"Bother them we do not as Peaceful, for now, they are spark conflict is not the will of the force and dangerous it will be to make enemies of them as powerful this John is" Said Yoda
Hearing Yoda some of the Council members were deciding to leave them alone. Mace seeing them was furious that they were just going to leave a threat walking around but if Master Yoda says so then we should leave them. But what about the Padawans thought Mace.
"So then what will we do with the padawans that he has they obviously have great potential," SAid Mace
"That is the case but they are under his care I'm sure we won't be able to get them," Said Plo Koon
"If you let me handle this matter I'm sure I can convince him of letting us have his padawans," Said Mace.
"See if you can you do but anger him you must not as the connection with the force in him is strong and also in his padawans," Said Yoda
After discussing further it was decided that Mace would try and convince John to give the Padawans to the order so they can learn Jedi teachings.
Mace walked to the ship where John was and asked the Naboo guards where he was. They told him he was in his room practicing and asked if Mace wanted to speak with him. Mace nodded and one of the guards went to get John.
After about 5 minutes John came out of the ship and seen Mace standing there and thought 'Why won't these Jedi just leave me alone'
"How can I help you master Jedi Mace Windu," Asked John
"It seems you know who I am so I will cut to the chase. The Jedi want those Padawans so we teach them and train them in the ways of the Jedi" Said Mace Windu
" Unfortunately I'm going to say no as the Jedi ways are flawed and you kidnap children from the families because they are force sensitive actually I Guarantee that if I wasn't here you would kidnap them and force them to learn the Jedi ways," Said, John
"We don't kidnap kids we take them in so they won't fall to the dark side and become sith so we train them in the Jedi ways and you who are not a Jedi having Padawans is unheard of also you have lightsabers which belong in the hands of Jedi and if you weren't so arrogant you would know that the Jedi order is not flawed it's your beliefs that are flawed," Said Mace
John was now on the verge of killing Mace but he knew that he would only look bad if he let his anger take over him.
"I suggest you leave now before things get worse than it already is" Said John with a show of anger
Mace who sensed his anger also felt darkness and in him so he pulled out his lightsaber
"You are a Sith I suggest you give up now before things get bad," said Mace
POV Yoda
Yoda was meditating when he felt a disturbance in the force and saw visions of an Unknown person with a lightsaber fighting with Jedi. He could feel that this person was not a sith but not a Jedi either just what was he.
He couldn't make out who it was but felt he would meet this person sooner or later.
POV Normal
John was now having a standoff with Mace as they both had their lightsabers out and were staring at each other from a distance trying to determine what the other would do. John knew he was at a disadvantage because Mace was a master with the lIghtsaber but he had no choice but to fight him so he prepared his stance and afterwhile Mace started walking closer and closer to him and as soon as he got closer he swung the Lightsaber diagonally and was blocked by Johns lightsaber. John pushed Mace away with his superior strength causing him to stumble and fall on the ground John seeing this as chance jumped up and slashed down at Mace..... did he block it or is the fight already over find out next time
