Chapter 66: Ulum Siege 1
John was on the bridge of the Prophet talking to Kina through a hologram. She was off leading her own Royal fleet against the Vong and she had just finished destroying the enemy fleet and was now finishing destroying the troops that had landed on the ground.
"We took some losses with only a small amount of ships getting destroyed but some managed to escape to the escape pods but many were killed while trying to leave" Said Kina. She was clearly a little upset since people under her command had died and she had never experienced this feeling in a while
"I understand how you feel Kina but this is what war is like no matter how advanced our ships are or strong we are we will always take losses but those lost will always be remembered that's why I made the Hall of Heros on Coruscant so that those who risk their lives during war will always be remembered," Said, John
"I know it's just still heartbreaking that we can't win the war without losing people," Said Kina. "Don't worry the faster we end this war the fewer lives we will lose to the enemy" Said John
Kina smiled seeing as he was trying to comfort her and was going to ask him where he was going but he said something first "I would love to continue talking but we are about to Jump to Ulum and fight the enemy fleet there that's rumored to have the flagship of the Vong leader" said John
"Do you want me to come and help we could overwhelm the enemy and I am about sone with repairs and all the enemy have been killed or captured" Said Kina
John thought for a while and agreed since the report also said that the fleet above Ulum was massive "Okay I will see you there in about 15 minutes" said kina ending the call
After Kina ended the call John gave the signal for the fleet to jump directly to Ulum and also told everybody to be combat-ready as soon as they come out out of the Jump.
While the Jump drives charged up John had received a System quest something that he hadn't received in a while

Seeing the new missions John was surprised to get a wormhole to the Vong Home Galaxy and was curious about the reward he would get for conquering it he was sure it would be something really powerful since he would be conquering another Galaxy.
while John was thinking the fleet had charged up its Jump drives and were ready to Jump. After John gave the final signal the fleet jumped to Ulum.
Above the Planet Ulum was a massive Vong fleet possibly the biggest Vong Fleet that the Imperium would face. In the center of the fleet was a massive ship the size of a planet and on this ship was Shimrra Jamaane the supreme overlord of the Vong. Shimrra was stressed right now since the planet he was besieging had some sort of Force field protecting it preventing large ships from going into the atmosphere but small ships such as shuttles could enter so he sent down some soldiers to try and find a way to disable the shield but the soldiers were killed as soon as they crossed the shield and soon after his soldiers were killed the Vong fleet came under fire by what Shimrra thought was some type of planetary weapon so he had his fleet bombard the planet to try and deplete the shield's energy.
But the shield was more durable than he thought and some of his ships were taking damage from the weapons. Shimrra was getting aggravated so he ordered Warmaster Tsavong Lah to take the Vong army and invade the entire planet.
From the Vong fleet, hundreds of thousands of shuttles could be seen leaving the fleet and entering the planet's atmosphere which alerted the Defense army of the planet who immediately ran to their positions and prepared for battle.
The planetary weapons were shooting the Vong shuttle but the sheer number of Shuttle were just overwhelming and by the time the shuttles made it to the ground millions of Vong soldiers had reached the ground and began fighting with the defense force.
The main place that the defense army focused on was the planetary shield generator which was located in the capital city of Ulum named Talim. Among Planetary shields, the planet also had shields to cover entire cities that would block anything from leaving or getting in. This was used to protect the citizens in Cities from an invasion force.
So even if the enemy landed on the surface of the planet they wouldn't be able to conquer the cities since they had shields but much like the planetary shield City shields did not have infinite power and if put under fire constantly will eventually cause the shield to run out and become disabled.
While the defense force was focusing on Pushing the Vong back from the cities so they won't destroy the planetary shield.

Above Ulum Shimrra was finally relaxing since the planetary weapons had stopped firing on his fleet and soon he predicted that the planetary shield would be down so that they can take the planet.
But just as he was awaiting victory a massive Imperium fleet had jumped near the planet and immediately began firing on the Vong who were turned to their side not facing the Imperium fleet so Overlord Shimrra quickly had the fleet turn to face the fleet.
John was in the Prophet while his fleet was firing on the Vong fleet and while watching the battle he had noticed a massive ship near the center of the Vong fleet he was sure that this was the command ship and also the location of where the Vong Overlord was located so he called Anakin and Atriox to the bridge.
Once Anakin and Atroix were on the Bridge he had begun to tell them their mission
"I want both of you to take the stealth ships with 10k Elite Royal Guards and take over that big ship in the middle of the enemy fleet since that is the command ship," Said John
"It will be done" Said Anakin
"Finally I can bash some heads" Siad Atriox as he walked off with Anakin

In the hanger of the Prophet, about 150 small-sized ships could be seen taking off activating the cloaking effect of the ship which would make them invisible to enemy sensors and eyes. Each ship contained 100 soldiers who were ready to board the enemy flagship and kill the Overlord of the Vong.
