Chapter 2: CHAPTER TWO

Vanessa POV

I woke up to see two girls sitting near my bed, i recognized one of them immediately as the girl i saw when i woke up.

"Victoria, you are still here?" I asked her. She nodded

"So Vanessa, this is my sister and i guessed you've already met her"

"No, this is my first time of seeing her. Anyways Veronica i guess?" I turned to the other girl. She looked at Victoria and looked back to me, it was like she was confused. What was Victoria talking about when she said I've met her before.

I turned back to the other girl "So Veronica, Victoria said you've been staying here with me for quite a long time now, thanks."

"You are welcome"

"Since i can't remember anything could please tell me what you know about me?"

I don't know how long we talked but she told me whatever she knew about me.

Victoria POV

They've been talking for almost two hours now and it seems none of them even remembered that i was with them. Since i was bored, i went out to get some fresh air and also grab something to eat for Veronica and Vanessa.

Veronica POV

I don't know for how long we talked but when i checked the room Victoria wasn't in the room. She left a message telling me where she was.

"Veronica, how come i don't see any of my family members here? I mean since i'm awake now they should be here or don't you think so?"

"Hmm, the thing is i don't know anything about your family"

Her mood dropped immediately, i mean she lost her memory and can't even remember anything about herself or family members.

Victoria came in with food a little while later and left immediately telling me she wanted to go home, Vanessa ate her food and said she wanted to sleep so we left her alone. You must be wondering what my relationship with her is. Well, we attended the same elementary school and middle school.

She doesn't talk to me but she's someone i always admired. I was following her the day of her accident (I'm not a stalker, i just felt connected to her and wanted to know about her) what I'm confused about was that her accident didn't look like an accident it looked more like a well planned attack. I didn't contact any of her family members not because i didn't know anything about them but because of the person who caused her accident.

Since she was still asleep, i decided to go back home to do one or two things and since the doctor said she would be discharged the next day i thought it was best to get her some clothes, she can't leave the hospital with the hospital gown.

Leaving the room, immediately i reached the lobby i saw a woman making unnecessary noise, more like causing trouble. The receptionist seems to be having a problem dealing with her so i moved closer to see what the ruckus was all about (I didn't mean to intrude or eavesdrop, i was just curious).

"You can't tell me there is no patient with that name here, I'm sure she was admitted here."

"Sorry ma'am but there is really no patient with the name Amelia Davis"

Why does that name sound familiar, I'm sure I've heard the name before. But where did i hear the name and who is this person? It was then i remembered the name, Amelia was my sister, my twin sister at that. But why is this woman looking for Amelia? Amelia is dead.

I had a twin sister but we were nothing alike, she died in car accident nine years ago.

"Excuse me ma, but why are you looking for Amelia?" I walked up to the woman and asked

"And who are you if i may ask?"

"I'm Veronica Davis, the Amelia you ask of now is my twin sister"

The woman looked at me with a straight face, i couldn't get any form of emotion.

"So tell me, where is Amelia?"

"Amelia is dead, and you can't just ask me question when i don't even know who you are"

Shocked was written all over her face, was she shocked because i said Amelia was dead or because of something else?

"Pardon my manners, I'm Jasmine Smith"

Wait, Jasmine is my aunt after mom died i never saw any trace of her so why is she here asking after Amelia.

"Aunt Jasmine, why are you here? We didn't hear from you after mom died"

"Veronica can we go somewhere else to talk"

And with that we left the hospital and went to a nearby cafe. She told me why she left and that she was sorry she wasn't there for us when mum died. Although i have a great memory i don't remember people's face, I'm suffering from Prosopagnosia.

"What do you mean when you said Amelia is dead?"

I told her about the accident that happened nine years ago, Mom died on the spot, Amelia was also injured but that was the last time i saw her. The doctor said she couldn't make it and i was left alone, till when my dad married another woman who had a daughter.(Victoria is the daughter)

"No, Amelia isn't dead she wasn't even in the car with your mom when the accident happened"

I was shocked, what was she saying mom definitely left with Amelia that day and i was sure i saw Amelia's dead body.

"Aunt Jasmine, what are you saying? I definitely saw her entering the car with mom"

She then told me what actually happened on that day, but if Amelia didn't die why didn't she contact any of us? When i asked my aunt if she knew where Amelia was, she said she heard Amelia was involved in an accident three months ago and she was admitted in the hospital i met her.

After we talked a little longer, we said goodbye and went our separate ways. I still had to get some clothes for Vanessa and at the same time i kept wondering how Amelia was. I was happy because she's alive and sad because i didn't know where she was or what she looked like.

I went back to the hospital with some clothes for Vanessa, she wasn't in the room when i got there so i just left the clothes and a note for her.
