Chapter 3: Chapter 2 New Beginnings

POV Sebastian

"Really!?" he said excitedly. I roll my eyes at his enthusiasm. "You know, I thought you had grown up by some time. You still at like a child." I say, laughing. He huffed in annoyance. " I'm 90 Sebastian. I'm not a child anymore." "you will always be a child to me, little brother," I say, laughing harder at his expression. "How old are you anyway Seb you still have told me?" He asked, "Carlisle, don't you know it's bad manners to ask someone their age." I say, sneaking up behind him and putting him into a headlock and rubbing his head. "Oh, come on Sebastian, are you ever going to tell me?"

"Mmmm, nope," I say, jumping back onto the couch. He sighs in annoyance. "Anyway, how are you going to stop Aro from reading my mind?" he asked. "I cannot stop him from reading your mind, but I can hypnotize you into forgetting about me," I explain to him. "Wait, wouldn't I lose all my memory of you!?" He asked seriously. "Yes, but I should be able to recover them once you decide to leave the Volturi," I say with a smirk.

Time Change to the next day POV Carlisle

Today I'm going to leave for Italy which I am excited about but also sad. After they changed me into this haft life. I had been running from civilization, trying to keep my humanity, when Seb attacked me. Surprise! He pinned me to the ground and sank his fangs into my throat. Only to be pushed away the next second. Terrified, I thought the vampire had caught up with me, but then I saw the long black snake tail connected to his torso. Those beautiful pearl-like scales would have hypnotized me, if not for the claw-like scars etched into the pattern.

His upper haft was just as marked as the bottom haft. Skinny as a skeleton, the 20-year-old-looking man had long black hair with tan skin and golden cat-like eyes. He had scars all over his human body as well, only leaving his face unmarked. The conversation that followed changed my fate forever. Since then I have become a doctor and have gained the best friend, I could ever ask for. However, today I am leaving both behind so I can learn more about this new life of mine and hopefully change it for the better. Although Seb thinks convincing the Volturi to become "vegetarian" is pointless I still have hope.

I am a little worried about leaving Sebastian alone for a longer time. He usually has a laid-backed personality his only hobbies being booze and sex. This makes me think he uses them to distract himself from his past. From what he's told me it was like an illegal sex ring for women. I can still tell his past haunts him. Thankful he seems to be better now mentally and physically so that's good. I'm sure he'll be fine he's probably been alive for centuries after all. I swear to god if I find out he is only a year older than me I'm going to make his life hell for all the tease he does.

As I am saying my goodbyes to Sebastian, he hands me a wood box saying it's a farewell present. I open it to find a golden necklace with a black snake scale at the end. "I was going to give it to you for your birthday but since you are leaving, I wanted to give it to you early." He says with a heart-warming smile that almost brings me to tears. "But won't the Volturi find out about you?" I ask concerned, "they might but I think it's more important to know you're not alone also, it will be easier for me to find you if you have something with my magic in it." He replies to which I become stiff with shock " MAGIC IS REAL!!? You can do MAGIC???" I scream in shock in response he immediately covers my mouth with my hands. "Shhh, do you want me to get burned at the stake!" he says looking around. "Sorry, sorry but seriously why didn't you tell me?" I ask slightly annoyed, "come on Carlisle if magic wasn't really how would we be here." He says rolling his eyes at me.

"Fine, I concede you have a point but when I get back, you are telling me everything," I say seriously. "Sure," he says laughing with an evil smile. He then takes the necklace out of my hands and put it around my neck. "Alright since you have everything now, I am going to get started this might be a little confused when you wake up however it shouldn't last long." Once he finished his sentence, he snaps his finger, and my mind when blank.

When I open my eyes, I'm in the middle of the forest, I stand there perplexed for a moment wondering why I stopped. Only to shake it off and start my journey to Italy.
