(General P.O.V)

(Sif)

The arena was full. The loud clamour of Asgardians ready and waiting to once again witness the superiority of their God of Thunder And Strength, Thor. They loved him, worshipped him and believed in him. Thor was only too quick to take on the Asgardian's adoration and revel in it. He loved his people and was a good person at heart although Sif wished he would let go of his whoring habits and notice her.

She sighed, cutting off that train of thought.

"The human…he's strong. I can feel it. I still don't understand why Thor didn't want us all to fight him. It's unusual but surely the Queen's request for us to face him all has its own merit. I saw what he did to the Palace."

Volstagg said from the side. A thought that was shared by all four of them. Hogun the grim, Fandral the dashing and Volstagg the valiant, premier warriors of Asgard. If anyone could judge an opponent's strength it was them. Sif had the requirements too but she was still a cut above the rest. In terms of skill if nothing else.

Loki arrived in a flash of golden light.

"Why Thor insists on fighting this Intruder alone is anyone's guess."

Fandral laughed in humor.

"Her Majesty refused your request to have him imprisoned in the dungeons, didn't she?"

Loki's face turned a red shade in anger.

"The brute attacked a prince of Asgard. That kind of action demands retribution. His suffering in the dungeons is the least of what he deserves."

He snarled out in righteous anger.

Sif rolled her eyes. Loki was usually smart but he lacked a lot in his tactical thinking. The dungeons couldn't hope to hold someone who was strong enough to ward off Thor with barely an inconvenience. The scary part, It was actually true, no exaggeration. She'd been there to see the aftermath. If it wasn't for the Queen, their fight would have destroyed the whole palace. Correction…it did destroy  a huge chunk of the west wing. Luckily, the queen had managed to calm Thor down and reach a compromise. Sif hadn't understood why her Majesty had compromised and it was bothering her.  What had happened next had been shocking.

The intruder had snapped a finger. A flash of a runic formation and everything had gone back to normal. He could use high level sorcery. Rune mastery that while, it wasn't comparable to Odin…was master level nonetheless. The soft smile on the queen's face had shown Sif that she had known about his presence even before he'd arrived. Divination most likely.

The strange human had then amicably apologized. Citing a misunderstanding brought about by his own reckless actions. The whole affair soon changed from a security breach to diplomacy. Something that out of all them, only she knew the importance of. She wanted to fight of course. Prove her worth and skill in a battlefield against Asgard's enemies. With the King in his Odin-sleep tensions were up and she fully trusted in the Queen's judgement to resolve any issues that arose.

So it was…confusing to say the least, when Queen Freya isssued a challenge to the Intruder against her her strongest warriors. Thor was quick to change that into a fight between him and the intruder. Did the diplomacy fail? Or did her Majesty believe in Thor's strength to actually pit him against such a powerful foe. She had to know that if Thor failed, it would send a testament that Asgard was not as strong as they portrayed. Which could lead to war with the Ice-giants and other resentful groups across the nine realms. Asgard had her own sizable share of enemies. However, Sif was a warrior first so she let go of the politics and fully turned her attention to the Queen's risky move.

Thor's cape was billowing out, Mjolnir held tight in his hands and a serious look on his face. She'd rarely seen him look so serious before. He always approached a fight with gusto and excitement. He knew the impact this fight would have. In comparison, the intruder looked relaxed and at ease. Though there was a glint of attentiveness hidden deep in his eyes. His stance was… fluid. That was the word Sif would. Appearance wise, he was very good looking. As tall as Thor and wearing a long coat that hid the skin tight armor underneath. Very good looking indeed.

He caught her staring…no studying him, smiled and winked Which made the hardened warrior's heart skip a beat and break eye contact. Great another womanizer.

The commentator brought a horn to his mouth and blew it, signalling the start of the battle. Sif prayed to Odin that Thor would win. She knew he wouldn't.

(Jin's P.O.V)

Sif was gorgeous…while every Asgardian was good looking, Sif was a bit more-so. It probably had more to do with her Warrior aura but she had that effect on me. I liked attractive women of course but I also liked attractive women who were strong.

I moved my head out of the way, dodging Mjolnir.

"How did you stop Mjolnir before?!! I demand an answer."

The queen was right. He needs to grow up. She didn't say that exactly but it was implied.

"You demand an answer? Force it out of me then, prince."

I smirked at him, settling into a basic Flow stance. Our fight had been interrupted by Frigga so I was a bit restless. My battle-maniac tendencies were coming back full force. At this point, I had almost forgotten why I'd even come here.

"Arrgh."

he snarled and jumped at me. I blocked his fist with an open palm. The shockwave generated from the strike sent my coat fanning out. I pulled him close and smiled when he struggled to pull his fist back.

He gave up on the endeavor and gestured with his other hand. Mjolnir came aiming for my back but a wall of earth rose up to block that blindspot. I didn't really want to use Pesquisa. The enchanted hammer punched through the unreinforced earthen wall like a piece of paper but I'd distracted Thor enough that I twisted and used his body to slam into the hammer. Thor let out a gasp and shot off, skidding across the sands to hit the arena walls with a boom. Mjolnir went to the opposite side and got embedded into the ground.

A cheer rose out from the onlookers, surprising me. I'd just slammed their Prince onto a wall. Why were they cheering? The wall was blasted into pieces as Thor climbed out of it, looking a little banged up but otherwise okay. The Asgardian's cheers became even louder. Mjolnir was summoned into his hands and he raised it above his head. I smiled, knowing what was coming.

"Feel the wrath of my Lightning!" He shouted.

I spread out my hands.

"Give me your best shot!"

Dark clouds gathered in the sky and streaks of ominous blue light danced around them. A huge beam of lightning feel upon Thor's hammer and he brought it down to point at me. Light that would have blinded a lesser man blasted out towards me. I allowed the strike to land.

And…I was dissatisfied.

The lightning washed over me doing absolutely nothing. Just the passive swirling energy above my skin was enough to prevent me from getting injured. If it was the past me however, I could have gotten hurt mildly. Yes, mildly because although Thor was touted as the god of Lightning... I'd had more skill in manipulating the element before I even became a Transcendent.

He finished giving it his all. Sustaining the energy for almost 30 seconds which was good I suppose. The dust was blown away, revealing no damage was done to me. I stood there with a bored look on my face.

"H..h...how?"

Thor whispered in astonishment. He stumbled a step back. His shock was shared with the spectators.

I sighed.

"You wield Lightning like a child playing swordsman with the Excalibur. Frankly speaking... I'm disappointed. Are you sure you're the god of Lightning?"

The look of anger that I quickly compared to a kid getting mad for not getting his way appeared on his face once more. Increasing with every single word that came out of my mouth. Until finally...

"I am the God Of Thunder and Strength! And I shall not allow you to ridicule me any further Mortal!"

His eyes changed into shining blue orbs and his aura shifted to an electric hum of energy that ran through the whole arena. The same energy that was a blend of divine and magical rose up dramatically inside him and runes flashed instantly on Mjolnir before fading away. Thor had entered a new realm of power and my smile widened. It still wasn't enough to fight me but I could have some fun while restricting myself.

His eyes turned to look at me. A feral glint in his gaze. He wanted to hurt me. To prove to me that he wasn't as weak as I thought he was. Funny.

I supercharged my energy and turned it into lightning. At this point, I could make different coloured lightning like yellow, purple, red, green, gold, white and black. But black was... technically not lightning. Black was my fusion of different elements to give rise to the Destruction element. It did as it's name said. Destroyed. Anything and everything. Unfortunately it also came with the unintentional side effect of being harder to control than other forms.

Luckily I could shape it into fire, a pure beam, liquid like or even a solid shape like a cube. In all those forms however, it destroyed anything it came across.  Thor's eyes widened a fraction when he saw the streaks of scarlet lightning running around my form.

Thor blinked. I blasted forward and behind me the ground was destroyed as if hit by an explosion. When he opened his eyes eyes after blinking...my palm covered his face and I impacted him to a wall. He spat out blood and I didn't give him respite. My knee rose up to meet him and his body was thrown way up to the sky from the force applied to his jaw.

At the Apex of the throw, I appeared to meet him with an axe-kick that sent him to the ground carving out cracks on the enchanted arena ground. I pointed a hand out and a blast of Lightning escaped my fingertips illuminating the whole area. Thor had enough energy to twirl Mjolnir above his body. Protecting himself from the worst of it. I teleported before him and my fist found it's way onto his belly.

He shot off but then I appeared behind him and kicked him. My speed increased as I bounced from one side to the next delivering blows on his body without stopping. When I was done I stopped and looked at Thor who was kneeling before me. His cape was in tatters. His armor torn in some places and his beard matted in blood. My smile changed into a frown once he brought a palm before him and coughed out blood.

"That's it?"

"I was wrong. You're powerful. Too powerful for me right now."

I smiled while hiding the disappointment inside me.

"You give up then? A wise move."

He shook his head and underneath the disarrayed hair, his eyes didn't lose their glint.

"I wished to take you on in a one vs one battle. It was the honorable thing to do and the fight itself would have been glorious and sang by generations to come. But I fear I might have lost sight of what's important. Asgard will always whether any storm...not because I protect them but because we fight as one."

My eyes went wide and I instantly teleported away from the hundreds of uru spears thrown at me from all directions. How had that happened? I turned my attention to look around and laughed after getting my answer. Illusions. Hundreds of sifs, Lokis and the Warriors 3 surrounded me. They had joined the fight. The spectators decided to outdo themselves because the cheers turned deafening.

Someone else might have cried foul but all I did do was smile.

"Let's get this show on the road."
