Chapter 133: New Neighbors (1)

The following day, Kai treated his followers to breakfast at the Inn, which cost him a whopping 50 gold for all 150 of them. The mortals who rarely experienced such luxurious food were ecstatic and thanked Kai profusely. Kai simply smiled, then looked over to Old Lao, who quietly assured him that they could easily afford this.

"It's good to be surrounded by capable people. I don't have to worry about micromanaging our finances anymore". Kai chuckled while walking out onto the sidewalk where Qiulong was sleeping lazily. Kai rubbed her large head to wake her up before heading into the carriage.

Within hours, the convoy was geared up and back on the road. They quietly left Jieshi town while Kai thought about their next steps. 

The convoy headed North which only had one dirt road overgrown with foliage due to lack of use. As they advanced, Kai noticed that the trees and grass seemed less vibrant the further North they went.
