Chapter 15: Still hungry
I give my hand to Sesshomaru and i see the tension disappear.
-Im hungry..
-Ok, my mate. What should i hunt?
-Pheasant.... A fat pheasant
As i tell my mate what i wish to eat i hear the leaves rustling close to the well. I take a deep breath to try to find who made the noise but the wind blows from my back. I look at Sesshomaru and he disappears in a second. I look around me but i hear a young voice cry.
-whaaaa....
... SHIPPO.....
I start running in the direction of the cry but as i arrive i see my pup in Sesshomaru' s claws.
My vision is starting to become red because my pup is in danger. I feel how i loose control of my mind. I see myself how i run to save my pup, how i push Sesshomaru and how i try to hide Shippo under me. I hear myself growling i see my weapons growing from the grass.
I see hundreds of thin like needles spears appearing slowly all around Sesshomaru's feet and as i build this trap of ice, i start to inspect my pup. I turn Shippo on his back and i plunge my nose close his belly trying to smell him. He is safe and he has a heavy smell of humans and his baby smell combined with mine.
... Mine, pup.....
I hear myself saying. I know in my subconscious that the one i use my powers is my mate but i am afraid... In demon world there is a custom.... if a mate already has pups before mating, the dominant male could kill the pups that are made with other males to make sure that only his pups are growing with his chosen mate.
Its a cruel custom and im not sure about Sesshomaru accepting my pup.....
-... Mate....
I hear him calling me. I look up at Sesshomaru and i dont see him. My demon is on surface and i start looking around me and Shippo but i fail for the third time to find his presence. He is at my back....
-Naughty mate..... I see you hide things from me.
I freeze in place because i feel his breath next to my neck. Around me i feel his presence and i feel that i am safe. I feel no aggressive intentions or anything that could put my pup in danger.
He turns me around and my body submits to his intentions. I am on my back and i whine in submission to please his demon side. He looks at my eyes and then he looks at my Shippo.
-Did you actually thought that i will hurt him? Hmmmm?
Dont you know i will do anything to please you my mate?
I am silent under him and i feel that my demon side is receding. My mind is blank but i stay under Sesshomaru.
He comes closer and i feel his canines touching my Adam's apple, bitting softly and sucking. While all this things happens, Shippo is in my arms, facing Sesshomaru and i feel him trembling. Sesshomaru looks for a second at the pup in my arms and then he smiles.
He touches shippo's cheek and then i see him retracting his fingers and i see a drop of blood on it.
-My mate, would you let me take your pup as my child?
I am speechless. He actually asked me that? I look at his eyes and he is waiting my answer. I just shake my head answering yes.
When i left Kagome's home i decided that i will try my best and i will give Sesshomaru a chance. I know i am not the best mate, that i dont know what it means to be mated but i will try my best.
I look at my mate and i see him bitting his finger and he touches Shippo's cheek. His eyes becomes red and then are back to normal in a second.
-Now he is my son as well.
I look at Sesshomaru and i look at Shippo. The poor pup has fainted a long time ago but he still trembling in my arms. I turn him in my arms and i notice a small black crescent moon next to the mark i made on Shippo.
-What did you do?
-I took him as my own pup. He should have two parents, not one.
-You are not upset?
-Why should i be?
-Because he is my pup and i.... I know what other youkai males do to pups.
-Inuyasha..... Did you actually thought i will act like those mindles low demons. You are my mate. Your pup should be mine as well. I dont mind that you adopted Shippo because i have adopted a pup as well.
-You did?
-Yes. Dont you remember Rin?
-The human child that was always traveling with you? A human? Adopted?
-Yes. Her mark is on her arm. But lets not discuss this now. What i want to know my mate is what are those? You've been hiding things from your mate?
I look back at the thin spears i created when i tried to save Shippo and i look back to Sesshomaru and i swallow my saliva. How should i explain that when not even i dont know how i did that.
-Ummm that is one of my power....?
Sesshomaru looks at me and he doesn't look convinced.
-hmmm. One of...?
-I really cant explain. I just wake up one day and i could do that but i cant control it.....
I rant all that and i look anywhere else except Sesshomaru.
As i wait Sesshomaru's reaction of my vague explanation... A new sound is heard
Grrrlllllll
I look at Shippo in my arms and i think the sound was from his tummy. I gather him in my arms tight and in the next second another sound is heard.
Grrrrlllllllll
I feel my cheeks getting red because that was my stomach.
-Sessh... Im still hungry and now you have three persons to feed. Its time to do your duty of mate and father..
-Yes my mate, forgive me.
