Chapter 40: Chapter 040- Training
"I agree to marry you, your majesty!" Feng Xue'er said with sweet smile in her face.
Hearing this answer, Ling Yun was confused for a while because of her agreeing so quickly. But then he thought, 'She doesn't seem to know clearly about what a marriage actually means. But it is more favourable for me. After getting married to her, I can slowly teach her what it actually entails.'
Ling Yun barely managed to control a lecherous smile from forming in his mouth as he thought about what kind of things he will be teaching Feng Xue'er in their wedding night.
"Good. Now rest for a day. I will let you meet your father tomorrow." Ling Yun said with an amicable smile.
"Did my father come here as well?" Feng Xue'er asked with some anticipation in her voice. Even though she is quite upset about her father after learning his misdeeds, she still loves him very dearly.
"Yes, your father did come here and we already had some wonderful discussion. You can meet him tomorrow. You should rest for now. You must be tired after such a long journey." Hearing Ling Yun's concerned voice, Feng Xue'er blushed as she became slightly happy and thanked him.
"Lingxi, show her the room she will be staying." LIng Yun said.

Next day-
Ling Yun is sitting in his throne while watching the reunion between a father and daughter. As Feng Hengkong was expressing his happiness for finding Feng Xue'er unharmed, a thought crossed his mind, 'Should I make a run for it while taking Feng Xue'er with me?"
But just when this thought came to his mind, he quickly rejected it. After seeing the power of Ling Yun a few days ago, he really doesn't have any confidence of escaping from Ling Yun. So, he slightly shook his head as he looked at Ling Yun and said in a respectful voice, "You said that there was something you wanted to discuss. What is it?"
"About that, have you decided whether you are going to accept the conditions or not?" Ling Yun asked.
Feng Hengkong's face became ugly as he heard the question. He really doesn't want to agree to those condition. But he has no choice either.
"I should have still one day left to decide right?"
"Yes, you do. But I just wanted to ask whether you have managed to reach a decision or not yet?."
Hearing that Feng Hengkong took a deep breath and said, "Actually I did thought a lot about the conditions that you gave me. And I have already managed to come to a conclusion."
"I agree to the two conditions that you proposed. But I want to make slight changes to them."
"Go on." Ling Yun said with some interest.
"For the second condition that you said, I have no problem of giving up my empire. But the elders under me would never easily agree to it. So, I propose for a duel between a number of our chosen subordinates. As long as your subordinates beat mine, I will publicly declare the surrender of Divine Phoenix Empire to Nirvik Empire. What to you say?" Feng Hengkong proposed.
"I have no problem with this. Just set a date for the competition within this month." Ling Yun said.
'I never imagined that Feng Hengkong could come up with such plans! He must be thinking that the subordinates that I have isn't as good as his. So, as long as they manage to defeat my subordinates in front of the public, I would have no face ask for his surrender. Though the plan is quite good but he is really ignorant of the power of the Nirvik Empire.' Ling Yun gave out an evil smile while thinking what his face would look like when he realizes his ignorance.
"What about the first condition that I put forth?" Ling Yun asked.
"About that, you should know that I love my daughter very much. So, I want to leave that decision to my daughter. I am sure you are not a person who would force someone to marry, right?" Feng Hengkong said while hoping for a positive reply.
'I really hope he agrees. Then I wouldn't have worry about him marrying my daughter anymore. Since she has been kidnapped by Ling Yun, she should really hate him. With my guidance, it would not be a problem to let Feng Xue'er keep denying his approaches.' Feng Hengkong smiled slyly while mentally praising himself as a genius.
But all of his hopes got crushed in the next second when he heard Ling Yun say, "If it is like this, then you don't have worry at all. Because Feng Xue'er already agreed to marry me. Now that you are agreeing as well, we can just confirm a date for our marriage next year."
"W-what? Is it true, Xue'er?" Feng Hengkong's ears couldn't believe what he has just heard right now. Never in a million years he thought his daughter would agree to marry someone else behind his back.
Seeing that her father is looking toward her with such a gaze, Feng Xue'er got confused as she said to her father, "Father, why are reacting in such a way!? I know it would hurt you a little if I stay away from you."
"But it's not like his majesty Ling Yun would harm me in any way. I will be just living with him just like I used to live with you. So you don't have to worry too much. His majesty Ling Yun is a good person." Feng Xue'er added as she blushed a little while saying the last sentence.
On the other hand, Feng Hengkong was totally dumbfounded as he heard the words uttered from her daughter's mouth. His eyes became dull as he thought, 'It's all my fault. If I had known something like this would happean, I would have at least taught her some common sense.'
'Now how do I tell her that marriage isn't exactly what she is thinking.' Feng Hengkong became totally distressed at this thought.
'Anyway, now that this happened, just let it be. Even though I don't like this bastard Ling much, he does have the qualification to marry my daugher.' In the end, Feng Hengkong just decided to compromise as he really doesn't have the capital to go against Ling Yun.
"Since you have already decided to marry him, I will not interfere with your decision." Feng Hengkong said with an ugly face.
Lign Yun smiled seeing this scene and said to Feng Hengkong, "Then I will declare the marriage between me and Feng Xue'er will be happening next year after she comes of age. Until then, she will be staying in my royal palace to learn about cultivation and other things. Do you have any problem with that?"
"No, I don't" Feng Hengkong said with a greeted teeth.
"Then you can go back to your empire and prepare for the competition." Ling Yun said.
"Yes." Feng Hengkong said as he left the throne room in dispirited manner.
After Feng Hengkong left, Ling Yun came to Feng Xue'er's side and said, "Come with me. I will introduced to you a teacher. She will teach you everything you need to know."
Ling Yun doesn't plan to keep her personality same as the canon as that might come to backbite him someday in the future. So, he plans to give her to Xia Qingyue who will be teaching her the necessary things while trying to make her completely loyal to him.
**Flashback**
"Qinngyue, I have an important task for you. I hope you would be able to change the innocent personality that Feng Xu'er has without going to any extreme means." Ling yun said with a serious voice.
"Leave it to me. You will be seeing a totally different person after she finishes her training under me." Xia Qingyue replied with confidence.
"I hope so. I don't want to kill her in the future when she finds out about the things that I did and decides to go against me." Ling Yun said with a flat voice.
