Chapter 5: Junior Squad
Getting out of the fire nation school early seemed a little surreal, back in my past life i was great student but i was often aloof to actually getting things done. I felt accomplished, i wanted more of this feeling i felt great. i just didnt know my future plans though once the story starts what should i do. I acted on auto pilot as i preformed the motions and just plotting when i bumped into a girl. "Wow, you could at least look where you are going." A girl with very black glossy hair stared at me with a bland expression. I looked up and saw something floating above her head i was surprised.

The girl was Mai surprisingly but the fact she had stats like my percentiles was strange to me. "Sorry about that i was just think about the future. My name is Orin can i get yours?" She was staring into my eyes, this was my first interaction with one of the main characters. I wasn't quite sure what to do...

"My name is Mai, are you one of the trainees too?" She had gained a single point i wasn't quite sure why it increased. "Yes i will be, what is the junior training exactly." "Hmm, well its for mostly noble kids but sometimes the highly skilled can enroll too. The trainees receive instructors to learn various arts or skills. Some take lessons from masters like Piandao or practice the skills taught to them by there families. Is that good?" Mai seemed like she hadn't accepted her place in life yet, normally she was much more down. "Thank you very much Mai, it was nice to meet you. I will have to find my instructor i hope you do well in your own classes." I wondered off as notifications similar to the one earlier appeared.

This Mai i had like the one depicted in the show was a real debby downer but this one just seemed calm. Perhaps the other characters would be similar, or perhaps they would change drastically. i prepared for another long succession of training or perhaps maybe traveling.
----Sorry for all the time skips but I'm just trying to set the time frame up properly. You see im planning on making all the characters about 18 years old when the actual story starts because i want to make a plot sequence where Orin acts as a spy traveling the world rising to the position of where I'm going to put him where the real story begins. After all the original Avatar story took a year of time to finish, and want to extend this story a bit with a few subplots of my own.----
