Chapter 21: Chapter 21

[A/N: Thank all of you for supporting the story and letting me know I'm not screwing it up. I'm not dropping the story, and I want you to have this chapter early!! Also, this is it, the chapter that explains a lot of the things that I've been hunting at in the story with Moka. I hope you enjoy!]

Piles upon piles of gold, gems, weapons, and other resources sat in front of Moka, he even noticed a few holocrons. But there was a particular Holocron that Moka felt himself being guided towards. Stepping carefully around the piles of treasure, Moka picked up a strange Holocron that glowed neither the vibrant blue nor the domineering red that they usually come in. Instead this Holocron glowed an almost divine gold that would make a weak man buckle at the knees.

Holding the strange Holocron, Moka put his new force training to the test by concentrating and funneling a small strand of energy into the Holocron, only to feel more energy than intended as well as his consciousness being pulled into the device. The Holocron then rose in the air, floated in front of his chest, and began painfully sinking in. Panicking, Moka tried to pull the Holocron out with all of his strength, only to find it stuck in his chest, but by then it was already too late, as his consciousness was already fading to black.

After what felt like hours, Moka finally opened his eyes, only to find that he was no longer in the cargo hold of his ship. Instead, he seemed to have been teleported into a sort of overbearing and intimidating throne room. Much to his surprise, Moka recognized the design of the room, including the old tapestries depicting great wars as Ancient Mandalorion design. Ancient weapons hung on the walls beside murals of ancient beskar armor. Moka was beyond shocked, but it was what sat at the end of the throne room that truly surprised him.

Sitting at the end of the room on a large, menacing throne made of swords and bones, was an imposing force ghost in the image of an ancient Mandalorion with a skull-like faceplate on his helmet which had a crown welded on top. It had thick, tank-like armor, a thick black hood cloak and a giant two-handed lightsaber halberd, it's dark purple glow lighting up the room. 'Oh, now that's fucking cool!' Moka thought as he gazed at the magnificent weapon. It's long staff was as tall as a man, and led to two knight-like curved blades on the side and top of the weapon. The bottom of the axe looked like the barrel of a plasma rifle, and Moka got chills imagining that this deadly axe could also shoot blaster bolts.

As Moka was admiring the weapon and armor of this Mandalorion, the air became thick and oppressive with both the light and dark side of the force, making it hard to breath. Then pressure that had the weight of a mountain, barred down on Moka, forcing him to his knees, almost like he was being forced to bow in front of this imposing figure. 'Holy shit, is this just his aura?! Just this would be enough to kill me!' Moka thought to himself as his body began to sweat and shiver under his armor. Just when he felt like he was about to pass out from the pressure, a deep, wizened voice brought his consciousness back, commanding his attention.

"So, a little welp from our Clan Kahl has finally come to lay claim to the treasures and knowledge that I hold, huh? Tell me little one, even though you radiate strongly with dark side corruption, the Lust and Wrath practically dripping from you, are you ready to learn from me, Mand'alor the Destroyer, and become my fledgling in MY ways of the force?" the ghost, Mand'alor asked Moka.

When Moka heard this, time seemed to have stopped as his mind thought of all the endless possibilities and implications of what he just heard. 'Did he just say Clan Kahl?! Is this guy like my super great grandpa or something? And this force presence...I heard of Grey Jedi who don't believe in the light or dark side and are able to use abilities from both sides of the force, but they apparently have an effect like neutralizing the force in a way to make a balance. But this guy he was using an entirely different force energy. Also, did he just say I'm corrupted by the dark side? ' Moka thought to himself.

"I'm sorry, Grandpa Mand'alor, did you just say I'm corrupted by the dark side? Something about Lust and Wrath?" Moka asked, with an almost desperate tone. Every fiber in his being told him that this very well was the reason why he was acting so erratic and unable to control himself.

Mand'alor' eye twitched under his mask. 'Did this idiot seriously just call me Grandpa? Now I see I'm going to have to beat some respect into this young brat, but first,' Mand'alor thought to himself as he fought the urge to immediately smack Moka. "Oh how fall has Clan Kahl fallen? Yes, you brat. Many people see the dark side as purely murderous rage, but that's not the case. The dark side is tapping into raw, dark emotions, such as Wrath, Lust, Envy, Greed, Sloth, Gluttony, and finally Pride. You fall under Wrath and Lust, but I see the makings of Pride and Greed building in you as well. Now, these are all basic emotions that any sentient being can feel, but when it goes unchecked, it can lead to what you're dealing with, dark side corruption. If you become my Fledgling, I can help heal you, and teach you a great many things." Mand'alor said, his deep voice oozing with charisma.

Hearing this, Moka knew that no matter what, he had to make this man his Master. Yes, he now had Emiry to teach him, but even from what Emiry told him, she was also kicked out from the Jedi Order soon after she became a Jedi Knight, so at most she could only teach him the basics of the light side, which he is already making strides in. But if he learned to utilize this new mysterious force energy and could possibly teach it to an Order of his own, He could hold his own against the Jedi Order, the Sith, or any other group that came along. On top of this, he could finally be free from dark side corruption.

Moka had no need to doubt Mand'alor's words as he could feel, in front of him now was a true beast when it came to the force! Moka could feel both the light and dark side radiating strongly from him, and not neutral like he heard of when the Grey Order was mentioned.

Moka had never heard of this Mand'alor or any other trained force-sensative Mandalorion besides the famous Tarre Vizsla that was apart of the Jedi Order and held the famed Darksaber. But when Moka thought about it, it could be the Republic manipulating the information again. Mandalorians were already scary enough without a bunch of Mandalorion dark Jedi running around, right?

Moka was also curious as to what amazing secrets his ancestor held, as he had never heard of technology that allowed lightsabers to take on different forms of weapons. Moka also noticed different runes inlaid on the Mand'alor's armor and weapon that didn't look like any Jedi or Sith runes he had seen before. It was a whole new rune language! Just a glace at this imposing figure gave him a hint at how many secrets this man must hold, which excited Moka to no end. Without wasting another second, Moka gave his answer.

"Mand'alor, I, Prince Moka Kahl of Kahlua, would be overjoyed and honored to become your Fledgling." Moka said, bowing to Mand'alor as the pressure that was barring on him disappeared as quick as it appeared.

Seemingly pleased, Mand'alor slowly nodded his head. "Good choice, Young One. I have much wisdom to pass on that will become a great importance to our people. I see that you have just started on your journey of learning the force. It is much too soon for you to learn most of what I have to teach, but I will impart this to you, to help you on your journey. Now pay attention, as the knowledge I'm about to impart is the Mando'a Alchemy, Plasma Weapon Smithing, and finally the techniques of Force Clone and Force Domain, as well as beating some skill into you, I can tell at a glance your combat ability is abysmal." Mand'alor said before he jumped into imparting his lessons. Moka was so excited about the chance to learn something new, he didn't even register the mention of beatings.

It was times like this that Moka was glad that he pretty much had a supercomputer for a brain, as the sheer amount of knowledge Mand'alor tried to teach Moka was terrifying. Luckily, it wasn't hard for him to store all of the information in his brain, but he already knew it would take a long time to actually learn and then master these few techniques, especially Mando'a Alchemy, which is pretty much the ability to alter anything, including living-beings.

The other thing a was the force energy that Mand'alor used. Moka thought his lessons in learning the light side was difficult, but he was sadly mistaken. This new force energy, which Mand'alor called, Perfect Force. Mand'alor believed the Grey Jedi, the Jedi, and the Sith to be weak idiots. Instead of only using one side of the force, or even completely forgoing both sides to create a fake balance, Perfect Force used both the light and dark side of the force and melded them together to create a new force energy, which Mand'alor stated is the complete form of the force. In sense, the Grey Jedi were not wrong in thinking there are no sides to the force, they just went in the completely wrong direction.

When Moka thought on this more, it seemed so simple and made perfect sense to him and wondered why more don't practice Perfect Force. Unfortunately for Moka, just because the concept seemed simple, actually achieving perfect force was proving to be near impossible, as with his minimal knowledge of both the light or dark side of the force, Moka found it hard just to use both at the same time, let alone create a harmony between them. In the end, Mand'alor said he must gain more knowledge and experience before he could achieve Perfect Force.

After what felt like weeks of being taught lessons, with the occasional combat training, which was just the Mand'alor bullying him for hours, Moka finally heard the words he was waiting for.

"And with that, your lessons are done, for now. Continue to practice what I have taught you, and when you are deemed to be ready, I will teach you more. Next I have a mission for you. Use the weapon smithing that I have taught you to forge yourself a weapon worthy of a future Mand'alor. Until then, I will be watching." Mand'alor said before he waved his hand in front of himself, and before Moka could ask how they would meet again, he felt his consciousness have the same pulling sensation before everything went black once more.

When he opened his eyes again, Moka was surprised to find himself still in the cargo hold where he picked up the Holocron and it assimilated into his chest, except the Holocron was now nowhere to be found, no matter how much he looked around himself.

'Seriously? Did no time pass at all? I felt as though I was trapped in there for a few months at least!' Moka said as he looked around to see Abella still playing with the piles of treasure, completely oblivious to the fact that he was transported away inside of a Holocron, getting bullied by an old man for months! Little did Moka know, all across the galaxy, every trained force user grew alert, as the very force itself trembled in anticipation at Moka's return and the Holocron being unlocked.

Letting out a frustrated sigh, a small smile crept on Moka's face as just with the little knowledge that he learned and the "training" he did, he felt so much stronger. Through training in Perfect Force, his dark side corruption was nearly gone, but he still had a bit of corruption left to deal with.

Plasma Weapon Smithing was a skill he learned that let one make a lightsaber in different forms besides the traditional one. Moka would be lying if he said he wasn't a little bit jealous of his Master's Knight-like halberd, and couldn't wait to make a weapon of his own! He already had a good idea for the design that he wanted.

The next thing was Mando'a Alchemy, which is similar to the infamous Sith Alchemy, except it doesn't limit itself to just one side of the Force, and uses the Perfect Force as it's basis. With this, one could augment different aspects of their weapons and armor, even a living species and the world itself. Moka was told about how some practitioners altered different alien creatures to fight for them. Some practitioners even carved runes into themselves, elongating their life, and even bring someone back from the dead! The possibilities with Alchemy were truly endless.

After that, Moka was taught Force Clone, which did as the name suggests, make a clone of himself. The Force Clone would be made with half of the users strength and would stay in the world until it either took too much damage, the user ran out of energy, or was unsummoned by the user. The major drawback is that it made the user weakend when it came to their force powers, as the technique was incredibly draining. But, the Mand'alor is so adept at the technique, he was able to summon dozens of clones to fight for hours, and that just him as a Force Ghost! At the time, the most Moka can keep just one clone summoned is about 10 minutes.

The last but not least was Force Domain, a complex, yet powerful ability that Moka knew will definitely be a staple in his arsenal. Force Domain was a skill that had different levels depending on the users ability. At the base form of the ability, a sphere of influence is erected around the user, that will make all of those inside the domain feel the users will as an insurmountable pressure. Mand'alor used the same skill on Moka to force him to bow when he first entered the throne room. Apparently the more adept can add lightning arcs around the domain, or even cause the whole domain to turn into an illusory space to trick the mind of his foes. At the time, Moka only had a radius of 5 meters with his Domain, while he suspected Mand'alor to cover a whole continent.

As if sensing something off, Abella turned to look at Moka who stood there exuding a whole new aura from before. "Mo, are you okay? Why do you seem so much...stronger?" Abbela asked Moka, trying to piece together how he could seem so different when they were in the less than 10 minutes.

"That's because I am, my beautiful friend. Come, it's time I finally return home for a bit to Kahlua. There are many things to do, and if I stay away from my aunt too long, she'll come to hunt me down." Moka said as he walked out of the room, shivering at the thought of being punished by his Aunt Roz. 'How is that woman still more scary than an Ancient Mand'alor?' Moka thought to himself as he mentally prepared for his trip home.

CREATORS' THOUGHTS
Lord_Bell Lord_Bell

Super big chapter! Moka was corrupted the whole time?! Many had noticed him being in the dark side and told him, namely Mace Windu, Emiry, and Qui-Gon, but this is the first time Moka has heard that he was corrupted.

Also, next chapter may break a few hearts, but it's important! The Star Wars galaxy will literally never been that same, and anything resembling canon will be done. Enjoy!
