Chapter 7: E.K. TEXAS TRASH

[Creators note:] A favorite of her son during the holidays on the road.

MIXTURE 1

■ 2 boxes Rice Chex

■2 boxes thin pretzels

■2 cans shoestring potatoes

■1 bag recular size fritos

■pecans

■peanuts

MIXTURE 2:

■1 cup bacon drippings (drained, strained bacon grease)

■2 sticks margarine

■1 tbsp chili powder

■1 tbsp seasoning salt *coarse if possible*

■1 tbsp red pepper

1) Combine all of Mixture 1 and mix to consistency.

2) Combine all of mixture 2 and pour on top of mixture one.

3)Bake for 75min.

4)stir once every 20 min.

5)Store in airtight container.

I've eaten this a few times myself and its quite good. I prefer to use candied pecans and peanut M&M's that are thrown in at the very end.
