Chapter 1: Prologue-Part 1
I, Souta konue am currently dying. Not that it was a life worth living anyway, because, from a very young age, I understood one thing very well, I am unwanted.
My parents did not have an amicable relationship at all and my birth only added more fuel to the fire. Their marriage did not last long and they separated a few years after my birth, my dad ended up taking me with him. So at the tender age of 3, I fell into an eternal hell. This is where my unending days of despair began.
My dad soon fell to the numbness of alcohol and abused me mentally, physically and emotionally. Blaming me for his failed marriage. We soon fell into poverty because of my dad's habits and just like that, starvation was just another thing I had to deal with as a child. My wounds stopped healing because my body didn't have enough energy and thus permanent scars and marks were added to my already sickly body.
A few years later perhaps due to my dad having some humanity left in him or maybe him knowing that only more torture awaited me in the future, he enrolled me in kindergarten and elementary school. I wish he hadn't.
The day I first went to school, I realized that I couldn't talk properly. Not because I didn't know how but because I was afraid, afraid that someone might beat me just like my father did. I could not stop stuttering when I spoke and that combined with my already hideous physique led to the obvious.....bullying.
I don't even know how I got through elementary school without breaking down mentally or maybe I did and my developing brain just didn't know it. Soon my father forced me to work some odd jobs when entering my later years of elementary school to earn him money, promising that he would enrol me into junior high school. Not that I had a choice, but while doing these jobs was where I found my only salvation...
