Chapter 8: 06: My shelves broke.
I had just finished writing chapter 5. I said I was only gonna do one chapter today, but NOPE. I have three chapters pre-written to be published at a later date. That means I can chill for two days without doing anything and I'm still publishing a chapter a day.

EVEN THOUGH I AM THREE DAYS ADVANCED, I SHALL STILL WRITE ANOTHER CHAPTER.
Anyways, like the chapter title says, my shelves broke. I don't really remember, but around the same day, maybe the day after, I had published the first chapters of this web novel, my dad noticed that my shelves were about to fall off. The screws were already out of their holes and the only thing keeping them still attached to the walls is the glue that they applied.
It's amazing since I stay in that room almost twenty-four hours a day and I didn't even notice that until he mentioned it. I WAS SHOCKED. If that had fallen, so much of my stuff would've been broken. Most of the stuff I place on my shelves are really expensive. I usually put my collectibles and really pricey crap there since, aside from being a place to keep your books, isn't that the purpose of the whole shelf idea? So that you can show off your riches? SO YEAH I WAS REALLY TERRIFIED.

My dad had just finished fixing it. Unrelated to the topic, but if you look at the left, you can see my keyboard. I don't think I'll have music as a career, but music has always been a big part of my life since my parents pushed us to be musically inclined as children. The music industry isn't really the most reliable and stable industry out there so having music as a career is never really an option.
Anyways, because I had to clear out all of the stuff on the shelves and I had to clear out everything on top, I found a ton of stuff that I have forgotten about. ONE OF THEM IS EVEN VERY VERY INTERESTING.
Most of the stuff I found could not have come at a better time. I was just planning on buying new guitar strings for my guitar since the strings there were getting a bit rusty, BUT OH GOD JUST SAID KEEP YOUR MONEY AND DON'T BUY ANYTHING. There was a complete (except for high e-string) set of guitar strings and they were still even packed. They were brand new. I didn't even remember putting them there.
I also found a charger WHICH IS A LIFESAVER SINCE I'VE BEEN BORROWING OTHER PEOPLE'S CHARGERS SINCE LIKE... BIRTH?
I found many, many things, but the one that caught my eye more than the rest was the one I'd expect the least to be on my shelves. I found a gambling set. Two hundred chips, separated as four different colors, and two brand new decks. I CAN START A MINI-CASINO. I have no idea as to why the heck there's a gambling set here, but I'M NOT COMPLAINING HAHA.
I didn't know any gambling games so I searched up how to play online. I had recently watched a movie on Netflix about a teacher and a group of his students who flies to Vegas regularly to gamble. These kids were students from Harvard and according to the movie, they're really smart especially when it comes to math. The gambling game they always played, blackjack, can be manipulated by using simple math. They gained over hundreds of thousands of dollars from just a couple weeks of gambling. For now, I'll stop talking about gambling since I think I'll reach my word goal before I even finish HAHA. More about gambling next chapter.
Anyways, two hours later, I finally finished fixing up my desk and shelves!

You can see my life, the hobbies I've had across the years on these shelves. On the first shelf, you can tell I kind of like reading books haha. One of the more recent hobbies I had was music and you can kind of see that on the second shelf with the mic and headphones. CHECK OUT MY RUBIK'S CUBES ON THE THIRD SHELF. As you can see I used to love fixing puzzles. IT USED TO BE AN ADDICTION. Those cubes cost a lot. I really had to save up to get those. On the fourth shelf, you can see one of my Gundams. That one is the biggest and most expensive one I have. The rest are all boxed up and hidden. I placed it there so that people can see how rich I am. The fifth and sixth shelves are just, I don't know. I just placed random crap there LOL.
Oh my golly, we reached eight hundred words already. SO QUICK? WHAT. I got carried away LOL. Anyways, it's that part of the chapter where I talk about Webnovel crap. Statistics show that valid reads on my novel have decreased 70%. WHYYY?THIS HURT. DON'T YOU GUYS LIKE MY WORK. Hurt </3. I'm kidding. I'm surprised people even read this crap LOL, but why leave? :( so hurt </3. I'M KIDDING HAHA I LOVE YOU ALL FOR READING EVEN IF YOU LEAVE. I'M STILL VERY GRATEFUL. I think I'm done for the day I've typed so much already. See you tomorrow for another chapter :D.
