Chapter 2: CHAPTER 2 SECRETLY PLANNED PARTY
Susan left the room, she had finished cooking supper too. Teddy was still obsessed about the party, she had to get money, she had to make a plan, she really had to, a plan included lies obviously. She thought to herself, what can I do to get it? Finally she cracked her mind! 😂
She screamed and yelled all alone...
"Yes! Yes! Yes! 😂😍, now how do I do it? Oh no! I need a printer, let me just type it out once I'm done eating, oh my goodness I cannot wait to tell my friends, wait! Should I call now or I could tell them live? 🤔, nah, I want to see their facial expressions as soon as I tell them" 😂😂.
Talking to herself was her thing, she never cared if anybody looked at her or anything, she never cared at all.
"Ohh no! Here they are, she ran to the main bathroom and took a quick shower, she didn't want her parents to find her there as if she came home late.
"Suz! Where are you, please come and assist with the plastics from the car, that was Teddy's mom, with her husband Mr. Tristen.
She responded ........
"yes mam! I'm coming just now", she ran to her.
"Suz, please don't call me like that, I'm younger than you, I should be calling you "mam ", I should be responding to you like that not you okay? 😊Tiera is okay, it sounds great 😍.Thank You by the way, where's my daughter? Is she back"?
"Yes she's taking a shower I think " Susan replied.
"Ohhh right! Okay I'll see her later then.
Susan brought everything from the car, she checked inside the plastics and wow! Only nice goodies were there, bunches of chocolates, snacks, drinks, etc. She packed everything where she had to.
Teddy wore her pyjamas and checked her phone. She felt a bit relieved now that she had a plan and believed it was going to work.
She craved some yoghurt so she went to the kitchen to get it and then went to the lounge to watch some tv, she tuned the S. A idols and chilled.
"Hello my baby"!!
Tristen greeted his daughter, she stood up to give him a tight hug, as always, Tiera came along also, and joined them as they hugged along.
"How was your day"? He asked
"Agh! It was just a day daddy, nothing much, and your day "?
Teddy was still on his father's chest ...
"It was great my baby"
They all sat down and watched tv, waiting for the clock to tick to 19:00 so they could have supper.
The scene was so hilarious that Teddy still found them laughing when she came back with that plastic, she had brought a glass of juice for herself which almost fell because of seeing her family cracking their lungs😂.
She gave her mom the plastic and sat down. There was a variety of chocolates, lindor, ferrero rocher, lindt, and Teuscher from Switzerland, with some chilli BBQ lays, sweet chilli, doritos, and drinks. She gave them a packet of chips to share, and gave them 2 sets of chocolates each, Susan and Teddy.
Teddy and Susan wanted the lies, they gave each other that look when she gave them the other type?.
"Hahahaha! You wanted the lays I can see... Forget! This is mine, so sorry guys, we all can afford them in this house I'm sure.
Tristen laughed so hard and carried on with watching tv. Teddy was busy with her phone as always, whilst watching tv.
She was texting with her friends, having a good time, she didn't have homework that night. Teddy loved soapies, dramas, like Scandal,, Uzalo, the Queen, The river etc and comedy movies.
"So Teddy! What do you want to study once you complete your IGCSE"?
Her dad asked her whilst watching TV. They all looked at her.
"Well.. Uhh Hmm I have actually 3 options for now, i would like to be a psychologist, second option is I would like to be a prosperous business woman, travel anywhere and anytime i want to, go to Miami, Dubai, Paris, Capetown, fly to Scotland, New York, Washington and dad! 😜go to Las Vegas, you know why? Because "WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS STAYS IN VEGAS'' dad! 😂😂
"Wait!!! That was a lot of information I guess, and what's that statement for? Vegas what what? Mr Smith was really puzzled.
Teddy went like...."you old enough to get it dad. But dad, I really wish I could travel, you know, see the world and explore it all "!
"And what's your third option"? He asked.
"Wow! Dad, wow! So that's all you heard? The two options? Anyways, uhh hmm I would like to study law, be a magistrate, you know,yeah".
Mrs Smith exhaled first, "those are great options my baby, very wise, I'm glad. Just make sure you study what you love. It's great doing a job that you love.
I promise you, you don't even feel like you're going to work, especially if it's passion! Oh it's 19:28, let's pray guys and thank God for the day".
They did, they praised God, read the Bible and prayed.
Teddy had to go wash and wash the dishes, one of her roles was to wash dishes every evening, Susan would just rest till the next morning.
As soon as she finished, she went to her bedroom because everyone had gone to sleep. She locked it as always, she quickly jumped high and threw herself in bed in preparation for an insta video call with Isha and Nicole.
They couldn't stop laughing, she wanted to tell them about the plan but she was afraid that 'walls have ears' so she preferred doing it live.
As for Anaisha's family, her parents were strict, she was a Muslim so her culture was strict, there are a lot of things she wasn't permitted to do, like going out, drinking, parting, etc.
Her family was very modern, but abided by culture and tradition, everything naughty she went up to, she had to be very careful, extra careful.
She was very spoiled too, she was using the Huawei P40, the latest model, everyone in her family had a great phone.
His dad had businesses there and there, car dealerships, wholesale shops, salons, and boutiques. She and her 2 year older brother had everything they ever needed.
As for Anaisha's family, her parents were strict,
The 'Hussain' family was great, they were the kindest people ever, took care of the poor, offered a lot of things to people, not just in the name of abiding by their religious rules, no! They all loved giving, it ran in the family's bloodline.
Her brother Yazan was brilliant too, they always quarreled on who was smarter between them, but no one had the courage In the family to tell them that they had 0.5 mental capability difference 😂they were just equal.
These two were very close, they had each other's backs always, although Yazan was schooling at the Waterford Kamhlaba, which was usually known as the UWC.
It was the most expensive school In the country, his parents afforded him, both because Isha's school was the second best.
Well... As for Nicole's family, she had 2 siblings, one girl and one boy, they were three, they all had their own rooms, they were Always on their phones. Her family wasn't that strict compared to her friend's.
They were Robert's,a rich and well known family in the country, his dad, Mr Paul Robert owned a huge share in one of the malls in town, he had resorts and guest houses, so you can imagine!
So yeah! It's hard to say whose family was more wealthy than the other between the crew. It was a Friday, a bright sunny Friday, it was a beautiful day indeed!
They always met at their official boardroom which everyone knew of, nobody chilled there except for them of course! Teddy put her back back down, took a deep breath as a way of preparing to break the news of what she had planned.
"Uhhh! Okay okay! Listen! This is it guys... We type a letter addressed to our parents right? Then we print it out of course, we steal the school stamp to make it real, that's it! We have a party! You got me"? 🤔she asked.
Nicole frowned... "Teddy, you are not clarifying... What letter exactly and how do we do that"?
Anaisha got it faster than Nic... "Ohhh ohhh!!! Yes I get it... This is what you mean... Ummm we type an artificial getaway/ trip letter, addressed to our parents, we name the price and somebody's gotta interrupt the secretary so we could stamp the letter, then we could make photocopies right"? 😀
Teddy screamed.. "Yes! Yes! Oh my goodness, you read my mind.. Question now is the venue, date and costs.
"Well... Let's make it an L. O trip, like we are going to Mountain Inn hotel, or The George Hotel, and by the way who cares what our parents will think about the place, because this trip is real and we don't have a say.. I mean like seriously "? 😂😂😂they all laughed at Nicole's statement.
They planned that Nic was going to type it in their I. T lab during their lunch time and print it out there as if they will be printing out an assignment.
The only dilemma now was how to interrupt the secretary to get the stamp and without anyone observing.
"Teddy you do it"!
"What!? Are you mad?
"Yes you have to do it!
"What? Why me? You know what? Do it!
"You are more brave and you came up with all this!
"Ohh! So I'll be partying alone because I came up with this? I already have a warning, why not you?
Isha pushed her inside the administration office, Teddy went back by force.
"Damn! What the hell did you just do? What the fuck was that!? 🤒
"Teddy! It's either a do or a don't, either we do it now or we never are okay!!! Get it through your thick skull! Nicole said
"Okay okay! I get inside, and ask for a new college book okay! In the meantime you stamp the letter okay? You hear me? So we are doing this now! She marched in the office.
Good afternoon mam! I'm so sorry to interrupt you, I was actually finishing off my assignment which is due in 10 minutes and I just ran out of pages, may you please give me a new one.
The secretary pulled down her glasses close to her nostrils, and Teddy turned and looked at her friends and they almost laughed because of the way she would look right in there, she looked more funnier when she did that.
She stood up with keys to open where she had to get the book.
"Guys... Please wait for me, I'll be back just now".
She winked at them. Nicole did it! She just went brave and did it, presses it down 3 times even, imagine! They were back in 3 minutes. She said her goodbyes and they left!
They couldn't wait to reach a comfortable space and just shout, yell it all out and say "YES! WE DID IT! YES! 😂😂
Teddy breathed heavily... "Guys! One more thing... Wait! How much did we say it costs again? She checked! What the? 😲dude! We said the trip is E2000.00? Just to go to Mountain inn? 🙄should we change and go smaller?
"What!!!? After all the trouble we went through now? No! Never! We will cross the bridge once we get there, don't you think"? Isha asked.
They all agreed to it.. The party was in a week... All they had to do was to get a house to host it there.
They tried but no one's house was going to be free except for one's who were in grade 8. Damn! Teddy didn't want amateurs there.
"You either take it or leave it... The kid was folding her hands, rolling her eyes to them. She was going to have their house all to herself, her parents were going to be away on that very weekend... Invite me and you won't be renting my house, sleep on it! She left!
They were all left puzzled, their eyes met and it was that kind of a "Wow! Moment. They felt like they were trapped, you know.
"Teddy! We have no choice, she gotta be there", Isha said.
"I know Isha I know, I know but I don't want kids, I don't want kids!!! It's only grade 11's and 12's! Oh my goodness! Can she even hold a glass of wine? 🙄tell me! This is fucked up! 😏.
"It's not a friend, it's just a compromise, look! At least she isn't charging us anything, at least! That was Nic...
Teddy wasn't feeling this whole thing of having kids in the party, she wanted it to be wild, and to have a record! "Friends... I'll think about it tonight, let's just hand this over to our parents, we will video call tonight and discuss how it goes. I'm exhausted, it's been a hell of a day! Damn! 😂😂. I still can't believe we did it hey.
Hahaha "! They all laughed! "I know right? You almost killed me when I pushed you! I had never seen such a facial like that from you before😂😂.
"If I didn't love you , it would be your memorial service right now😂😂
"It's even a Friday! How fortunate 😂😂.That was Nicole They laughed till they cried.
"But guys... Honestly speaking, I love and appreciate you so much, there's nothing I wouldn't do for you, I love you so very much, I would kill for you". Teddy expressed herself.
"Awwww!!! 😭😭😢😢they made a squad hug and went on talking, it was after school even so they had time.
Teddy tossed and turned still thinking about the matter, she really didn't want to make things easier for her.
It was either she was "IN OR OUT", and she decided that "nah! I'll get the money. It was around 19:00 pm when Suz called her to come and pray and have supper.
She wondered what it was for supper, well... It was pap, braised worse, pork and chicken. She was a bit excited, it had been long since she had such food like that. Her letter was with her, so she decided to give it to them right there! 😭
"Teddy what's wrong now? This is family time! Family time, family time! And go on using that phone here, go on! You'll definitely get what You are applying for"!
There was that awkward moment where everyone was staring at each other, shocked, terrified! I mean really! ? Where was that coming from? Anyways, she breathed out before handing it out!
Unfortunately she gave it to her mom.
"Mom! May you please check it out", she took it and her father was there with that facial expression like 'seriously'!?
"Ohh! Nice... An L. O trip! So why did they tell you guys today, why so late? How do they expect us to raise the money"?
Mrs Smith was looking Teddy straight into her eyes that she almost got goosebumps that she would even start confessing and be like... "Nah you know what... It's actually not mine, there's been a huge mistake... I'm sorry"! 😂😂😂.
"What's this L. O thing you're talking about? Is it even a useful subject"?
The man of the hell house asked. Teddy was still angry with him that she just looked at him like she didn't hear anything.
Then madam saved him................... "It's actually a Life Orientation subject, it guides and prepares learners for life and its possibilities and equips them for meaningful and successful living in a rapidly changing and transforming society.It also guides learners to make informed decisions about their health, environment, subject choices, further studies and careers ". She folded the letter and put it back.
"So that's crucial? You recommend it? You are supporting it you mean? This is totally a waste of time and money ", he shouted.
"This is a subject sir!!! 🙄.Just like English Literature, stop acting like you never studied R. E🙄, we all went to church and prayed everyday but still we studied the subject although we were christians... Did we get 100%, 's? Did we? Hell no! No one ever did! It's the same thing! Stand up right now and go Tell the government to scrap it off... You will be saving your money then'!
There was a deep breath session which occurred for that minute and hey! Hey! It was ', Wow '! Teddy was so excited, she couldn't believe it! Tiera herself couldn't believe she talked to his man like that! 🤔
He stood up and wiped his mouth, threw up the wiper on the table .....
"You paying for that shit... Definitely not me! I'm still sane up here"! He left like that.
"Tiera asked Teddy... What are the costs again and where's the location "?
"It's E1500.00 mom, it's at the Mountain Inn ma next week Friday to Saturday "!
"Ohhh🤔that's strange.. But hey! What can I say these are the ever changing times😀😀she stood up and cleared the table, went to wash dishes and took out breakfast ingredients for the day after.
She went back to Teddy... "Ohh and by the way... I'll give you the money before tomorrow morning okay! Remind me"😉
"Thank You so much mama! I love you "
Teddy's mom was the "take it easy" type, she was'nt one of the investigative or detective parents like others are.
Same thing when she did shopping, she wasn't the type that went all around comparing prices in shops before buying, let alone doing window shopping, she just window shopped from outside and went along, not going inside the shop to page clothes, fit like other ladies did, what she liked at first she would be like... "you have small size for this? How much? Can i have it please Without even fitting, she hated fittings.
She almost danced, her heart was doing a huge heartbeat, she was so happy, so excited and wow! She was happy, she wanted to break the news through a phone call but decided that 'nah!!! This one deserves a bell! 😂😂😂 she went to sleep.
It was a splendid morning for her, she was an early bird that day you know, with good music for the soul, the slow music, of which it became strange to her parents and Everyone in the house.
"Backstreet boys!!! 🤔her father was so surprised, the both of them. Isn't that our genre bbe, isn't she too young for this type? I thought she was into this latest RNB like Nasty C or something". 😂
"I know right? I mean this is still one of my big favourite songs you know, it just has that thing Tris, that thing i can't express, especially when it goes like "Aren't nothing but a heartache, aren't nothing but a mistake,then it goes like in the middle of it... Teddy heard them playing the very same song, they turned the volume higher than hers, and that increased everybody's mood because Susan was already screaming whilst singing, and Everyone found themselves screaming, even the couple 😂, the whole house became crazy, one would say they Were drunk or something😂.
"Tiera"! He was staring at her through the mirror whilst she was on her makeup.
"Tristen"! She responded.
"I fucking love you"...
She dropped her eyebrow pencil by mistake, she went all emotional.
"Awww bbe... I love you so very much, i really do "😍
"Just don't ruin all the hard work on your dolly face okay, but don't worry you can pour them out i'll fix it, i've seen how you do it so i'll manage"😂😂they both laughed .
"I'm a serious babe... You start with that black spray, then the eyebrows, then uhm this! What is the foundation, then the powder right and uhm you don't like lipstick right"?
He was looking at her straight through her eyes.
"Yes I don't and you said everything so well!!! I'm so blessed to have a man who notices everything, even the tiny things like this". She was smiling.
"And i thank you for trying by all possible means to keep this family together, but most of all... I thank you that you chose me out of all the other boys you know" 😂😂.
They laughed till they cracked their lungs out. It was a beautiful morning indeed.
"Ahhhmmm i promised Teddy the trip money, i hope you will be fine with that"she asked although she knew absolutely well that no matter what he was going to say, Teddy was going to get it anyways.
"No not at all... I'm fine with it if you are fine with it of course".
She was dressing up for work as usual, she was on a black tight short skirt with a shirt and a formal lime blazer but had no idea which shoes to wear.
"Go for the yellow heels bbe, you will be hot in them"he took them out for her.
"Thank you so much hun, i seem to be looking great, let me go and grill them you know, they will know who i am today"😂😂
They both laughed till they called Teddy.
"Here's the money okay? It's E1500.00 like you said... You walking with your friend or i can give you a lift"? She asked
"Uhhhhmm a lift will do ma, thank you! Let me notify her, or maybe we can pick her up please "😉
"I wish for a baby but time! We Were busy screaming to that song and now I'm late"😂. They all laughed.
It was time up! Teddy was dropped at school already, she met her friends there. It was 07:30 am, 15 minutes before they went to the arena.
"Ahhhhhhh"!!!
Teddy screamed to Isha and Nicole and they bitch screamed to her as well as they ran to each other, and hey!!! It was a hell of a moment.
"You know guys i wanted to video call you as soon as mama said i'll get it in the morning, then i went like "Nahh.. This one deserves a bells"they all laughed😂😂
"Ahhhhhh!!! I got it! Nicole screamed 🙀
"Ahhhhhh!!! I made it"!!!
Isha screamed too.....
Then they all screamed all at the same time showing each other their cash. They were so excited you know that they went to the kid who offered them the venue and guess what? She was still interested in it.
That's when they made a huge announcement that the party was still on. Each participant was to come with a clip only. They were the topic lately.
"Guys!!! In order for this to be a huge success, let's send the invitation throughout places like Waterford, Sisekelo, Kobe, Saim , Bahai you know. Yes it's short notice but i know a bunch will come through.Isha suggested.
"And ohhh I feel like we need enough guys to dig for fun. People like Gino, Mission, Let's actually find out if they will be there, they can even be the ones to buy the booze for us you know, that was Nicole.
"There they come guys! It's now or never!
"Nicole! Teddy shouted.
Please come over, yeah all of you please.
They were a big five, all colored except for Blessing, he was a Swazi.
She proceeded... Uhm guys, you know about the upcoming party web hosting right?
"Yeah sure! Who hasn't heard about it"? He shrugged his shoulders😼.
"So uhhh will you guys be there"? Teddy asked.
"If you want us to"😒he said.
"Okay!!! Please be there.. Uhhhmm how can i spice it up? I want it to be the best they've ever seen or experienced you know what i mean". Teddy emphasized.
"My house will be free tomorrow,my folks went to a business meeting in Sandton so i'm alone till next week. And uhm there are more than enough rooms for Everyone and anyone who will be doing anything, whatever and whenever... You know what i mean right?
They smiled and they all laughed at his statement because they all knew what he meant.
He went on... Just make sure you invite hot chicks there, packed chicks you know, girls who want fun".
Blessing added... "Nothing is as painful as finding yourself in a relationship when the only thing you wanted was just to smash guys"... They all laughed. 😂😂😂😂😂
Paul from the boys crew responded too.
"What's wrong with girls, or maybe what's wrong with you girls, why want stable relationships, we are still young, Lets just drink and get drunk, let's smoke and get high, let's crave it and get a bed and get laid! Simple!
With no feelings and this bullshit attachments… You know what I'm talking about right... Yeah, that simple ".
Teddy rolled her eyes before she said something. "Guys! Guys! This is not simple, it is not simple! Not at all. You know what... Once you involve yourself with a guy or girl sexually…
You have basically formed a "Soul Tie''! Whereby your souls are connected just like that, either you aren't dating or you are, it is just what it is!
That's why most couples break up, that's why!It's the anger, the jealousy of "What is it that she has that i don't have, why didn't he choose me when i gave him all that he ever wanted on that night "?
And the funny thing is this thing mostly occurs with us girls... So yeah! You got it i guess. What I basically mean in short is that make sure you pick a girl who knows what a "No string attached"means". She folded her arms.

"Ohhh!!! sharing a name Miss😉... what a coincidence... But uhh hmm it's great to meet and know you, I'm Nicole, this is Blessing,Paul, Mark and Jaden! Yep! This is us"!
They all had their hands in their pockets.
Well truth to be told, they were handsome, all of them, they were so perfect and very attractive to stare at such that picking adonis amongst them would get to be a huge challenge.
Nicole seemed to be attracted to Teddy, probably that's why he couldn't orally pause himself😂.
