Chapter 99: The Hero of Fate. **
(Didn't post yesterday since it was my birthday [Jan 25]. And like I said, I will be jumping in between events for the next couple of chaps.)
"Wake up, sleeping beauty." I said while poking at her cheek.
"Urgh. I'm exhausted." Hinata grumbled as she covered herself up again in blankets.
"That's why I told you to not take it too far. You probably could have gone to a couple of different worlds instead of the insectar one." I said while continuing to poke her cheek.
"But I made a promise to myself…"
"Which you can't really fulfill if you are dead. You really went and got yourself killed more than once. If it wasn't for that cheat skill of yours I would have probably have gone through some hoops and loops to bring you back."
Hinata opened her eyes and looked at me for a few seconds.
"Thanks for worrying for me."
Before covering herself up with her blankets again. But with a snap of my fingers, they disappeared.
"You made the promise to try to save everyone. And since you told me to hold you to that promise, I will."
I said before scooping her up and carrying her in a princess carry.
"Should have thought about it better before deciding to go all Sudoku against Zion. Think of this as a reminder that you can't save people while you are dead Miss Hero. Now come on, if you want to keep your status as a hero you gotta continue to fulfill your promise. It just so happens that I got a job that is right up your alley."
Hinata struggled in my shoulder before giving up and letting herself be carried. The burden of having expended more magicules than she should have was showing its side effects now. And honestly, it wasn't too uncomfortable.

(3rd pov Hinata.)
The job that was given to her was a pretty big one. It was the job to oversee the worlds which were getting rebuilt.
Most of everything was already set in motion. But with so many phantoms and angels beginning to awaken wills and egos of their own, it would require more guidance and directions to keep everything in order.
And just like she had been told, she found her power growing stronger. The essence of a hero was this, to make a selfless promise and to then keep it. Since she had promised herself to save everyone, by assisting in the rebuilding of the worlds she was saving countless lives, and by keeping her promise the strength of her skill grew.
The opposite was also true, if one broke their promise by ignoring it or by going against it, they would lose the strength they had gained from the skill. And in extreme cases, like with Rudra, they might even lose their status as a hero.
Some time had passed since she had started doing this job. And in the end, she found it nothing but rewarding. She became a paladin of Luminous mainly because she enjoyed helping people. And this came with many perks.
But it also came with some uninvited guests.
"What are you doing?" She asked looking behind her.
"Keeping you company. Sometimes you overwork yourself, and it has been a while since you have came back to visit Tempest. I'm not the only one who is worried, you know?" Rimuru said as he closed the book in his hand and appeared in front of her.
"I am fine, there is no need to worry about me. Plus you visit me enough that you should know that more than anyone." Hinata said while reaching down to continue working.
Only to find herself in a different location.
"This is…" Hinata murmured to herself after recognizing the decorated and open ballroom.
"Why don't you join me for a break?" Rimuru asked while offering his hand as music began playing.
"I would love to."
Hinata said as she drew her sword.

(Sometime later.)
Hinata laid on the ground with exhaustion. Her head currently resting on Rimuru's lap as her hair was softly getting played with in between head strokes.
"You know, you are the only person I know of whose love language is violence," Rimuru said while chuckling
"It's called Quality time. And I quite enjoy it." Hinata said while sitting up, her body full of sweat.
She didn't quite remember when it had started. Only that it was during one of his visits when he was checking up on her.
He had brought her here and made a bet with her.
"Let's spar. If you win you get to continue working, if I win you have to take a break."
When he first offered her the job he never expected that she would work so much. So he was going to get her to have a healthy work schedule. And his methods were quite effective, as if there is one thing Hinata enjoyed more than anything was a good fight.
After getting swiftly defeated, this became their tradition.
Rimuru and others would visit her while she was working. But when the time came for it a certain blue-haired person would drop by and have a "bet" with her for her vacation.
It was after one of their spars that they got a little too carried along and started their relationship.

(R-18 start)
One moment they were fighting and now they had ended up like this.
Their kiss was full of passion as they pressed their bodies together with one another.
Breaking apart the kiss with a deep blush on her face Hinata said.
"You really are a greedy one aren't you?"
The tension that had been building up each time they spent time together had finally reached its limit. Leading to the situation they were now in.
"The greediest one of them all." He couldn't help but answer with a chuckle as he kissed her once again.
From the kiss, it didn't escalate for some time as they began to see each other in a different light. But the night did come after one of their vacation spars.
Their clothes were leaving their bodies without either of them noticing when it happened, leaving both of them in their birthday suits.
Hinata had to hold back her voice as she felt his lips going down from her mouth onto her chest.
And while his mouth played with one of her nipples his hand played with the other.
The pleasure brought a sudden feeling of itchiness down in her lower regions. And letting her instincts lead her along she began to rub herself using his leg.
But that wasn't enough to make her satisfied. Adjusting her seating position so that her legs would wrap around him. And suddenly realizing where they were seating intertwined with each other she laughed.
"You have the power to create anything and everything and you use it to make a bed. A really nice bed…"
"What can I say, I am to please" He answered while sharing along in the laughter.
"In that case, I just happen to know someone who needs some pleasing." Hinata said as she lined herself up with him.
Sharing a burst of small laughter together she lowered her body. Finally feeling the itch inside of her beginning to be scratched she couldn't help but search for his lips and kiss once again. Their bodies pressed closely against each other.
And soon, the movement began…

"Just like a cute cat."
Rimruru couldn't help but say to himself as he played with her hair as she slept.
For some reason since the day he had met her he couldn't help but compare her to a cat in the way she acted. It didn't make a lot of sense, but for a while, his mental picture of her was just like that.
A cat that when you tried to pet they would bite your hand. And their idea of laying was to la on the ground, grab your hand, and bunny kick it with their claws out.
Looking at her sleeping face he couldn't help but pat her head.
And after adjusting the time flow of the room, he also laid down and closed his eyes. Going to sleep for the first time in a while.

Been a while since I wrote one of these ones hasn't it? Almost 4 months. So a bit out of practice.
How about it, still too rushed?
Gonna be doing one of these one every few chaps to wrap things up.
