Ashe proceeds to pull a hand drawn map which has a couple dozen things marked on it but she quickly points to a place on the map labeled simply 'lair'
Markus: Very good.
Ashe: Ah, before we set out..just don't...don't make eyecontact with anybod-
Merchant: MAGIC GEMS! MAGIC GEMS! You guys want some magic gems?
Ashe: Great...
Alex: I love this guy his is the worst
Gregor: Yes I do!
Merchant: How about some magic gems?
Marcus's head whips around and he exclaims "Magic"
Merchant: Yeah, completely magical! This one summons the rain, this one summons monsters! No idea what this one does, that's why I call it the...
The merchant is cut off during his sales pitch by Marcus
Markus: What does... what does that one summon? ...mystery gem.
Merchant: Oh you know. You know. It summons erm... eeh...Oooh...EEEEEEEEEEEERRReer, good fortune? Virility. Let's say virility.
Markus: Ah, virility. Good oldfashioned virility gem. Beautiful!
Gregor: Do you have any gems...to enhance physical capabilities? No magic.
Merchant: No magic? Umm...Are you... can?...I mean, these gems are magic in nature! How can you want a magic gem that isn't magic, that's just insane!
Markus: He's entirely correct, Gregor.
Marcus sifts through this pile of gems which is very clearly just a bunch of cut and colored glass. However, his eyes settle on a...on a tiny sliver of blue sapphire. Causing his eyes to widen.
Merchant: Oh, you've got a good eye for gems!
Markus: SHH! Merchant: Mister...This! To think it would be here...Of all places...
Merchant: So... You're gonna...You're gonna... buy it?
Merchant: You seem really...
Markus: I never thought...
Markus: I never thought I would see it again after all of these years!
Gregor: Is it a gem of high jumping?
Markus: Do you have ANY idea...
Gregor: 'cause that's the kind of thing I want.
Markus: It's something...far more powerful.
Gregor: Gem of Tumbling.
Markus: Far, far more powerful...than that, Gregor, you have NO idea...of it's power, do you?
A single drop of sweat rolls it's way down the mans face.
Markus: You have no idea... The sheer potential that is held within this gemstone...
Merchant: I...O-Okay? I-umm-
Markus: Oh you poor, naive man.
Markus Holds out the gem and drop it into the merchants palm.
Merchant: I-
Markus closes the mans fingers around the ordinary gem
Merchant: Is it-
Markus: Take good care of this.
Merchant: Am I...safe?
Markus: You're safer than you. You're safer than you can know, sir.
Merchant: Okay..?
Markus: You hold onto this....and do use it wisely. You'll only have one chance.
Marcus sweeps around and make his way down the road meeting back up with the party. As Markus approaches, Ashe burst out laughing and exclaims
Ashe: Aaah! I think I'm going to enjoy travelling with you!
Markus: I think I'm going to enjoy being in Meadshire.
Gregor: I want to kill a monster.
Alex: I want to be done with MeadShire
Markus: Hear, hear.
The party leaves town through the carefully marked: "monster gate"
