Chapter 21: The Coronation Ceremony 2
"Everyone hear the Imperial edict!" Emperor Taizu's eunuch said holding the Imperial edict.
All the high court officials bowed to listen to the Imperial edict.
"Prince Zixin, the son of Emperor Taizu and Empress Song is being made The Crown Prince of Song Dynasty today. With the presence of heaven and earth just as my ancestors had done, I, Emperor Taizu of Song Dynasty is making my first son The Crown Prince and I hope he will follow the good steps of his ancestors and make the country proud. Live with honesty and modesty. Accept your responsibilities and remember to be as fearless as a lion and as gentle as a dove.
"I, Zhou Zixin accept the Imperial edict and promise to fulfill my responsibilities." The First Prince said and stretched forth his hands to receive the Imperial edict.
Emperor Taizu's eunuch handed the Imperial edict to The First Prince and picked another one from the table.
"Zhou Chu Hua, wife of The Crown Prince, you are beautiful and full of wisdom. You have accompanied The Crown Prince through thick and thin and proved to be loyal and honest to your family and Song Dynasty. With the presence of heaven and earth you have been made The Crown Princess. Accept your new responsibilities and help The Crown Prince in making Song Dynasty a prosperous nation." Emperor Taizu's eunuch read the edict and handed it over to princess Chu Hua.
"I, Zhou Chu Hua, accepts His Royal Majesty's imperial edict and promise to fulfill my responsibilities as The Crown Princess of Song Dynasty." Princess Chu Hua said and accepted the Imperial edict.
"Long live The Crown Prince, Long live The Crown Princess, Long live Song Dynasty!" The court officials chorused and bowed three times.
The Crown Prince and The Crown Princess stood up and bowed to the Emperor and Empress. Emperor Taizu and Empress Song looked at each other and smiled.
"Young master, please where…. Where is….. the Palace located?" Princess Xiao Ai asked a random young man on the street. Panting and catching her breath in between her words.
"Just walk straight. You will see the palace gates." The young man replied.
"Thank you so much." Princess Xiao Ai said and bowed to the young man before he left.
"Young mistress... I... I am... really tired." Zhan complained, breathing heavily from running.
"Sorry. The palace is close by. We can't stop running now. Let's continue running."
"Wait young mistress. You should change into your white robe and fix your fake mustache first."
"You are right." Princess Xiao Ai quickly went to the fabric store nearby and changed her clothes. After changing her clothes,she and Zhan ran to the palace gates.
Since it was the day of the coronation ceremony, the palace gates were open to everyone making Princess Xiao Ai and Zhan's entery into the palace easy.
"Young mistress,young mistress, young mistress! Let's stop first. We are already in the palace. Let me…. Calm down first." Zhan said, breathing heavily.
"Sorry. Calm down and let us go inside." Princess Xiao Ai replied wiping the sweat on her forehead away using her handkerchief.

The drummer of the second drum outside the main hall began to beat the drum with the drum sticks in his hand as The Crown Prince and Crown Princess walked outside the main hall with their imperial edicts.
"Long live The Crown Prince, Long live The Crown Princess, Long live Song m!" The people shouted while raising their hands in the air.
