Chapter 26: Chapter 26: Attaboy, Bob!

When Bob awoke, Jackie was still snuggled in his arms like a baby. Her sweet fragrance stirred him. He gently ran his hand through her hair, leaned forward, and kissed her forehead. He gazed at her like she was a priceless jewel -- something to be seen and not touched.

*Just can’t believe I could feel this way… This must be love.*

Deep in his heart, Bob knew she was the one for him. He was a patient man and wasn’t going to hurry things along. He was determined not to make a mistake with Jackie, he told himself. He kissed her softly before carefully sliding out of her embrace.

It was still dark when Jackie suddenly jolted from her sleep. She was alone in bed and there was no sign of Bob.

*Where is he? Did we… do it?*
