Chapter 3: The Demi-God system
"Alright! Young lad! Your wish will be fulfilled!" The familiar voice echoed through the space.
Before, Xian Hu could ask anything to the voice,rays of bright light became apparent, out of nowhere; it was so bright that he had lost the ability to speak and had to close his eyes, reluctantly and instinctively too.
When he opened his eyes,he found himself in the same sidewalk, but the bullies were not there. Let alone the bullies, even the wounds on his body had healed.
What a miracle...
What just happened there?...
Just when, Xian Hu wanted to leave the sidewalk, a group of words appeared inward his eyes, the words were actually floating and burning with faint yellow flames.
[ Welcome, host to the demi-God system ]
[ To start the system, answer inwardly «Yes/No» ]
[You have 10 seconds to start, otherwise, you will die! ]
He gulped his saliva as he saw the words infront of him, his whole body trembled, but, still, he controlled himself and answered inwardly, "Yes!"
A new group of words replaced the old ones as he, stared at them.
[ Host is recognised — Xian Hu ]
[ A task has been given to the host ]
[ Reach the exam center at the right time ]
[ «Reward: ??? » « Punishment: Death » ]
[ You have 10 minutes to reach the exam center ]
[ Good luck! ]
After, he finished reading the words, they automatically started to fade away, Xian Hu again gulped his saliva as he memorized the words with fear inside his heart.
What the hell was this ?....
This was too ridiculous!...
Nevertheless, he anyway, had to reach the exam center, at time, so what ?
He ran outside the sidewalk, and started to pace towards the exam center.

It was not until, after 8 minutes had passed, that he reached the exam center.
His heart was pounding very heavily, he was exhaling at a much faster pace and sweat ran all over his body.
But, he was happy....
Why?....
It was simple as a day.....
He'd completed the task the system gave and he was saved from death....what could be more rejoicing than preventing your own death, itself?
The entrance to the exam centre was greeted by a black gate with small pillars on its left and right, green-trees were situated around the exam centre, making it look like a paradise. Thousands of boys and girls roamed inside waiting for the exam.
Hunters were varied from S-rank to D-rank, S-rank being the superior one, while D-rank being the weakest one. They were rowed, in terms of power in ascending order— D, C, B, A and S rank.
While, Xian Hu was admiring the beauty of the center, a group of words appeared in front of his eyes.

[ Congratulations! You've unlocked 'Stats', 'Demi-God Core' and an 'Ability' — 'Channeling' ]

[ «Punishment: 10 years will be cut from the Host's life» ]

The moment, he read the words, his heart skipped a beat as the words faded away, he didn't knew to cry or laugh at that time. But also, a new surge of power entered inside his body, it was so powerful, that Xian Hu could feel the power outside of his body too.
"What's happening? I have to kill someone? Are you kidding me? Moreover the punishment is so ruthless, shit. Today's my bad luck. What's the meaning of this, system?" he inwardly complained.
But the system didn't say anything.
How ridiculous...!
"Damn, shit" Hecursed.
"Anyway, let me see what the heck is this, 'Stats'. "
He was furious but, anyway, he thought about the system, inside his mind and said, inwardly, " 'Stats' "
A new set of words appeared before his eyes. It was much different than the words, earlier, they were not burning, instead they were floating and were pale green in colour.
