Time passed slowly and soon spring arrived in Konoha.
Haah…
Akio takes a deep breath and inhales the fresh breeze of the spring.
"It's April already! Time sure flies by."
He stretches his arms and continues to sweep the fallen Sakura leaves in front of the shop.
"It has been three months since I started my new life as a shop manager. I am already nine years old and celebrated my ninth birthday last month.
We held a small party in Yakiniku-Q to celebrate my birthday and uncle's recovery.
"I also got a gift from Mother!"
Akio takes out a locket from his pocket. There is a picture of baby Akio, Kaori, and Kazuya. This is the only family photo they have.
"As for uncle… the poor guy was stuck in hospital for an entire month; so, he only bought me a pair of new clothes."
'Well! I don't dislike the gift. It's not the gift but the sentiment that matters.'
"Last but not least, I also got a gift from the system?"
Akio stares at the 90% discount voucher in the shop with adoration. This voucher is applicable for any item below the cost of 10 million system points. He also got +5 stats from the passive effect of Extremis serum on his birthday. With no hesitation, he invested them in agility.
"System, you are a tsundere right?"
[Hmph!]
System snorts at him but doesn't reply.
"See! I was right!"
Akio chuckles and ignores the banter of the system as he gazes at his balance.
"Those major clans are my fat sheep. I already have 110,000 system points saved up after another two months of sales. Besides my last expenditure on the Dragon blade, and the potion of Essence of Nature; I didn't spend my points anywhere else. I was saving for that juicy potion of essence of nature worth 100,000 points."
He opens the shop and purchases the potion without any hesitation.
'Currently, the only thing I lack is strength. My agility is already at 30 points after using two potions and the stats from the Growth serum.'
The cost of the next potion now changes to 1 million system points.
Sigh…
"I will have to save for another three months to buy this potion even after a discount of 90%."
He shakes his head in helplessness.
"And the potion after that will cost 10 million points. Gone were the days when I could just drink potions and increase my strength."
Akio shakes his head in melancholy.

"Oye brat! What are you dawdling there for?"
An annoying voice breaks him out of his stupor.
"Urusai Baka!"
Akio turns around and yells at the source of the voice.
"I am running my head to think of ways to flourish our business while you are fooling around! Mattaku!"
He shakes his head and enters the shop.
"Huh?! What did you say, brat?"
The young man with dark brown hair and gray eyes argues with him.
"Also! I am your uncle. You should give me the respect I deserve."
Kazuha crosses his arms.
"I would if you weren't so useless."
Akio snorts at him.
"Always getting drunk and wasted! How many times is it that Mom and I have to apologize on your behalf? You had one job, i.e. to collect supplies from Land of Iron. And what happened a few months ago? You almost lost your life!"
"Huh, kid! You have some nerves to argue with your elders. Did you forget the time when you were bullied by your 'friends'? I saved your ass multiple times or else you would look like a disfigured pig by now."
The man retorts.
BAM… BAM…
Kaori bonks both of their heads.
"Picking a fight is the first thing you do in the morning? Both of you get back to work or else there won't be any lunch and dinner for you. Also, don't even think about eating anything from outside or else…"
Kaori's blue eyes almost pierce holes through them.
"Yes, Mam!"
Both of them stand erect and bend at almost 90 degrees.
"Good!"
Kaori nods as she holds a shopping basket in her hand.
"I am going out to buy some groceries."
She walks out of the house and disappears in a corner.
Swish… swish…
Both Akio and Kazuha turn towards each other.
"You want a beating brat!" Kazuha growls.
"Bring it on! Shithead!" Akio also adjusts his sleeves.
Pfft… Haha…
Both of them burst out in laughter.
"Alright brat! I will handle the delivery to the clans this time. You can go on the special delivery!"
"Special delivery?!"
Akio tilts his head in confusion.
Mm…
Kazuha nods his head.
"She is a very special customer of our shop and is even a relative of mother! You will know the rest once you find her."
Kazuha picks up a bag and walks away in the silence.
"Well! What's so special about this delivery?!"
Akio also picks up the delivery bag. There is an address slip on top of the scrolls.
"Well! It shan't be that bad if she is a relative of grandmother, right?"
He closes the shutter and walks out of the shop with a bag in his arms.
"I might as well enjoy some free time! It's not like I have to attend the academy or something."
Akio walks through the streets as he recalls some painful memories of early childhood in this world.
After the ninja academy rejected him, he almost lost hope in life. The shock was too great for him, considering his high expectations as a reincarnate.
But the truth slapped him hard and brought him back to reality.
Noticing his heartbroken condition, Kaori insisted he enroll in a civilian academy to learn the language, geography, history, and mathematics.
In the end, he gave up and enrolled in the academy with a mindset that how bad could it get in a normal academy? He was a reincarnated person and a dweller of an advanced world in his past life.
Everything worked well for him for a few months. The classes were quite easy. The language was the same Japanese language as his past life. So, it didn't take him long to relearn it since the kendo instructor in his previous life was Japanese.
His daughter was the same age as him. So, to impress the girl; he learned the language for three years. Too bad, both father-daughter duo went back to their homeland after some incident.
History and geography weren't a problem either. The history of the Warring era is a mess with various chaotic records. So, he has to only focus on the brief history of forty or so years after the foundation of Konoha.
Geography was quite easy too, since there are few continents and nations in this world. Most of the world is still unexplored because either it is too dangerous and not many people make efforts to recklessly explore every nook and cranny of the world.
The time and effort aren't worth it since the lives of people were at stake. A few brave people attempted to explore the sea, but only a few made it back safely. Most of these people were scared shitless as they recounted tales of horrendous monsters hidden in the depth of oceans.
Anyway, the academy life was supposed to be a breeze for me. The subject of mathematics which most people are terrified of was as easy as drinking water for me.
Everything went downhill after three months, when the teacher consistently praised me in front of other kids and I earned the adoration of quite many girls because of my handsome looks and genius intellect.
Like honestly, what the fuck are kids doing these days? I was single for my entire short past life. Though I was only 20 when I died. But damn, these days, even kindergarten kids have boyfriends and girlfriends.
So, the key point was, I earned the ire of all boys in the class. After school, they will gang up on me and beat me up. Even the teacher turned a blind eye to them, since most of them were sons of some wealthy business owner who warmed the pockets of teachers for the sake of a smooth life for their spoiled kids.
They beat me up a few times, and I even fought back and beat up a group of 8 kids with one against eight using the martial arts from my past life.
But even I had my limits with such a weak body. Around 15 kids ganged up on me to teach me a lesson. Uncle had to butt in and save me a few times.
Tired of this bullshit, I lured them to a nearby forest filled with wild animals. A wild beast almost ate the kids, but the timely arrival of a shinobi saved their life.
After which, well, there is no after which!
I dropped from the academy and started my new life as a NEET in this world.
