Chapter 3: 3. Is it... LOVE?
"Hey, you're in our class right? What is you name?" Rias asked me which made me really surprised but to I stayed calm and stare for a bit before answering with a nod "oh um, I'm Rias Gremory may I know your name?" I stare for a second "Kurotsuki, Kurotsuki Asuka" I answered her with a bit hint of mysteriousness cool right, after I said my name I tried to take my shoes which make Rias quite startled because usually many boys will try to talked with her or Akeno for more, me? I'm diferent from those noobs though I know for sure that both of the felt the faint magic power and sense of danger which I emit all the time for the past weeks.
"Ara you are as cold as always heh Kurotsuki-san" I looked at her and gave a quick nod before walking off with a cool vibe shrouding me, the day passed by I still diligently training my body and occasionally spared against my father to build up experience I don't want to die because of stupid reasons or get beaten to pulp by a fodder because of my lack of experience.
The next day I got into a bit of morning exercises before going out to school, at the gate I saw Rias walking up to me with a smile "Good Morning Kurotsuki-san" I looked at her and said simple "un" which made her pout for a bit, I found that teasing her is quite fun surprisingly at the hallway before the class I looked at her and said "Um, Good morning Gremory-san" which make Rias smile "you can call me Rias you know" After hearing that I just nod and go to my seat to begin the torture called lecture.
Brake time I got up and walked out to the cafeteria but before I even have the chance to go Rias called me and asked to go with her which I just give a simple nod and walked with her while making Akeno smile weirdly and Sona to be surprised, In the cafeteria I just ordered what I usually ordered and eat in silence Rias than make a bold question "Ne, Kurotsuki-san am I not pretty?" which made me and Akeno to choke on our food.
"I personally think you are cute, but what it got to do with me?" which made her blush "nothing it just I feel like you hate me or something because how cold you are" I just nod and said "This is just who I am and um, Rias you can also call me by my first name if you want" which made Akeno more surprised then before "Ara ara that's not really like you Kurotsuki-san, but can I also called you by your first name?" which I just answered with a nod Rias is smiling quite widely which in my opinion looked really cute.
The day just past by before school end, Rias and Akeno said simple see you tomorrow that I answered with e nod,
~Rias P.O.V~
'That guy is cold yet kind but why did he only answered my good morning where we almost at the class, did he just shy talking in public' I looked at Akeno who is smiling at me "Ara Rias do you like him?" "Mo Akeno its just curiosity you know" which I answered between my fast beating heart.
I don't know why but when he called me cute it also make me beating quite hard but more than that what make me interested in him is not that but rather the feeling of danger and his faint magic power that he emit, maybe after I got closer to him I can asked him if he know something about the supernatural world, well I'm hoping he is not an exorcist though it will complicated thing between us

I got out the school area before sensing some magic around 40 Meters in front of me, with the fact how it feels warm and serene I think it is either Angel or a Fallen I tried got closer suddenly Yami said [Careful there partner I sense it is a Fallen at least 2 pairs level the you right now without any magic it will be quite hard the beat him] I am surprised that its Fallen but also annoyed because I can't fight it except I wanted death I tried getting Away but before I made it the Fallen notices me and fly toward me with a sinister smile planted in his face.
I tried running but a Bolt of red light flew towards my leg which made me stumbled and fell I was ready to force out {BALANCE BREAKER} before sensing Familiar magic 30 Meters behind me which is getting closer by the second so I just tried to buy as much time without revealing my power, but that hope shattered when I feel something pierced my shoulder which force me to take out Yami to make the pain lighter after 2 second of the Fallen blabbering about how he will take my Sacred gear the familiar Red blood hair appeared before my eyes
After Rias and Akeno come I felt light headed but I try my best to stay awake which bear fruit because I hear the voice talk to me "Even at the face of death your eyes still gave off the cold and deep darkness, I can save you but at a cost which is for you to server me as my loyal servant so what is your answer just give me a nod and I will do it" Which make me quite annoyed because even moving my finger is hurt like hell and she wants me to nod but I still do what she told me and nod, that must be the most hard nod I ever give.
"Very well" she said while taking out a knight and 1 Pawn and places it on top of me "huh?, Both the knight and pawn piece is mutating on its own? that's..." suddenly Yami said inside my head [Partner her pieces are not enough so I will use the surrounding and also your own magic power to mutate her piece even then it will not heal you fully so be ready to face whole lot of pain] when I heard that I just smiled wryly and accept my faith.
(A.N: I ACTUALLY DID MY RESEARCH AND READ SOME STUFF IN WIKIS BUT NOTHING SAID HOW MUTATED PIECE WORTH OR HOW IT WORKS BUT I KNOW THAT THE PIECE USED CAN BE MUTATED TROUGH A LOT OF MAGIC)
Rias just stood there silently while watching the surrounding magic got absorb quite rapidly Akeno also had a surprised face on her and silently watching "Ne Rias with how his Piece mutated the knight will be worth around 10 pawn and the pawn piece will be worth around 8 pawn right? it never happened before should we report this to your brother?" which Rias answered with a simple nod, after seeing that I will live through this my consciousness just dicided to said bye bye and I fell asleep.
