Chapter 44: PERVERT.
Imperial City at Theme Amusement Park in noon,
Louis didn't bother as he commented, " You should smile often. You look more beautiful like that".
Seren cleared her throat a little as she said, " Can you please leave me now Mr. Edward?".
Louis realized that he was still holding her tight as he hugged her earlier. He released her immediately. There was a long silence between them.
To lessen the awkward atmosphere between them Louis said, " let's have our come out now". ( it means that let's be honest and confess now )
Seren replied as she tried to ignore his gaze, " I am afraid of ghosts and this is just my second time coming to the amusement park".
Louis said as he touched the back of his neck in order to get away from the embarrassment, " Well I am scared of them too".
Seren exclaimed, " Then why did we enter inside the haunted house?".
Louis replied as he looked straight in her eyes, " I thought that you liked it as you didn't deny".
Seren said, " And I thought Mr. Edward liked it so I didn't deny".
Louis asked, " How can we both be so silly? But is this really your second time coming here? Then when was your first time?".
Seren replied, " The first time I visited was with my mother and father when I was a child. We came here for a weekend picnic. After that I never came".
Even though Seren was still keeping her expressionless face but Louis could sense that she was somewhat sad. Louis knew that her mother died when she was a child and her father brought in his mistress not too long after his wife's death.
Louis said as he held her hand, " It's fine. We can just have fun today" and dragged her along with him.
Even though Seren hardly knew anything but being beside Louis she didn't feel lonely anymore. After a long day of playing and having fun at the amusement park the couple went home after having dinner outside.

Imperial City in Newly Wed's Apartment at night,
Seren was drying her hair as she just had a shower and was preparing to sleep. Suddenly her phone rang as a familiar number flashed on the display screen.
She picked up the call as she said, " Hmm. I'm listening".
Kevin informed, " Boss the child has regained consciousness".
Seren asked, " What about the vitals? Is he feeling uncomfortable or is it hurting to him?".
Kevin replied, " I have checked and everything seems normal".
Seren ordered, " Carry out the tests so that we can get a correct analysis".
Kevin replied, " I have already sent the test reports to the lab. The results will be out tomorrow morning".
Seren said, " Okay. Let him be on fast today. Unless and until the reports come , keep a watch on him".
Kevin replied, " Yes boss".
Seren asked, " Why are you still at the hospital? You don't even have night shift today".
Kevin replied, " Ahhh..... actually boss I had some work nearby so I just passed by to take a look at the patient".
Seren asked, " What work did you have nearby? Or was the work in the OB/GYN department?".
Kevin said, " Boss please stop teasing me every now and then".
Seren replied, " Then you better work it out fast. Don't just keep lying to everyone. Women don't like men who are afraid to confess their feelings. Understand?".
Kevin replied, " Yes boss. Now can I go?".
Seren commented, " Yes yes. Have a good time with the head nurse".
Seren was smiling as she disconnected the call. She turned around from the dressing table and was still looking at her phone not realizing what was in front rather than who was in front. The moment she looked up , Louis was in front of her and they were really close leaving no space between them.
Surprised by Louis's sudden appearance out of nowhere as a reflex action Seren stumbled on her steps while moving back. She was shocked as she lost her balance and was about to fall backwards on the dressing table which was not so far from her.
Louis immediately wrapped his one hand around her waist while other behind her head as to prevent her from getting hurt by the glass mirror of dressing table. Fortunately he caught her right in time which prevented her from falling.
Louis pulled her closer as to make her stand stable with his both hands wrapped around her waist. Seren was still in shock as her mind was not working properly due to the sudden events.
Louis asked, " Are you alright? Did you get hurt?".
His voice made her come back to senses as she processed what happened just a moment earlier.
She pushed him a little in order to break from his arms as they were really close to each other and replied, " I'm fine. But wasn't Mr. Edward in the bathroom just now?".
Louis replied, " I came out when you were talking on the phone. Guess you didn't realize my presence".
Seren said, " My bad".
Louis asked, " Whom were you talking to just now? You seem to look happy".
Seren replied, " It was Kevin. He was reporting to me that the child has regained consciousness".
Louis said, " It's really good then. When can we bring him home?".
Seren replied, " After the results come out if everything's fine then we can bring him home".
Louis called, " Seren".
Seren said as she looked at him, " Yes Mr. Edward?".
Louis was about to say something but ended up not saying it. He just replied, " Nothing let's sleep".
Both climbed up the bed and lay down beside each other. Louis was trying to sleep but it wont just come to him. Frustrated he finally decided to just go for it.
He asked, " Seren are you sleeping?".
Seren who had her eyes closed and one hand on her forehead replied, " I'm preparing to sleep".
Louis asked, " Can I hold you?".
Not getting a reply from her he continued, " Can I just hug you and sleep. I'm scared. The moment I close my eyes..... I remember the ghosts from the haunted house earlier. Please?".
Seren thought, ' Is he a kid? He really is a quack. I am too scared of ghosts but not this much. Why is he always asking me to hold his hand or either hug him? Am I his mother? Why is he always so talkative? Can't he be quiet just for once? Let it be. I really can't understand this man' .
Louis asked again, " Please?".
Seren opened her eyes as she turned and faced him and replied, " Please do as you wish but let me sleep quietly".
Louis moved closer towards her as he asked, " Can you please lift your head a little?".
Seren did so as Louis asked her to. He placed his one hand under her head that supported her and wrapped his another hand around her waist to hug her. He closed his eyes as he noticed Seren closing her eyes.
He tried sleeping but now his heart won't let him as it was racing like crazy. He opened his eyes and realized that the woman in his arms was already asleep. He caressed her face and her hair with his other hand which was on her waist earlier.
He thought, " How can she sleep peacefully when there is a grown up man so close just beside her? She looks like a carefree soul who doesn't care about anything happening in the world. She looks cute like a white bunny while sleeping. Her eyes were glittering when she was smiling earlier in the day. She looks really beautiful when she actually smiles. Does she smile like this in front of other man too? But I just want her to smile like that when she looks at me".
Eventually his eyes turned to her beautiful rosy lips and unknown to himself he was about to touch those soft lips. But he halted his hand in the air as he realized what he was going to do.
He covered his mouth with his hand as he realized that he was about to touch her lips. He was going crazy right now. His face and his ears were red from blushing.
He thought to himself as he was running his fingers through his hair, " What was I doing right now? Was I just thinking to kiss her? What is happening to me? I must've gone insane to think of kissing her when she is sleeping. Louis you've really gone mad. How can you do this? Are you a pervert? Even though she is your wife but you cant just do anything to her as you wish when she is sleeping soundly. Why is it so hot here? I am feeling thirsty out of a sudden".
He got up quietly fearing to wake her up and strode towards the kitchen. He drank some water to calm himself.
He thought, " Should I work? Maybe I will forget it if I keep myself busy".
He went towards the study room and started working on some office presentation but he wasn't able to pay attention at all as he remembered her face when she was sleeping. At last he decided to give up and closed his laptop.
He returned back to the bedroom and laid down beside Seren who was sleeping peacefully without knowing that a certain someone was going crazy.
Louis was just going to lie down beside her but he just couldn't control himself as he moved closer towards her. He leaned in closer to her face as he placed a light peck on her forehead and said, " Good night Wifey" in a low voice.
He thought to himself, " This should be enough. I won't do anything and just sleep while hugging her. She has allowed me to hug her so there wont be any problem with it. Let's just sleep and not think about any weird ideas".
Louis wrapped both of his hands around her waist as he pulled her closer towards him. His face was near her chest which made him feel her heartbeat. Earlier he hugged her as he wanted to protect her but now he was holding her as if she was a precious treasure to him and he just wanted to keep all of her to himself. Both of them were facing each other as they hugged.
As Louis's face was closer to her chest he was able to feel her heart beating. The sound of her heart beat was like a music to him which made him feel peaceful and calm. Soon he closed his eyes and fell asleep while hugging her.
