Chapter 16: The real illegitimate daughter
Maya collapsed on the floor. She had been taking care of Regina sincerely without asking who her real mother was until now.
She loved Regina, and accepted her openly, for Ryan's love. Seeing Regina so devastated. Her heart was crushed. But her heart broke even more Ryan was back with Sofia. Her father was right. There was no other way. Ryan was an asshole. Maya swore in hurt. It is time for her to throw Ryan out of her life.
While Ryan didn't realize that he turned poor by now. Maya closed all financial access. All that remained was what he hid behind Maya Agustin.

Regina was not just a child to Maya, but she was more like a friend, like the only best friend she got over the years. Regina was a medicine for her, a substitute for her daughter Shasha. She had been trying to find Shasha for a long time, she thought that Shasha was so far from her, but she didn't realize that she turned into a mother who could not even recognize her flesh and blood. She was able to confirm Shasha's identity after her father confirmed the whereabouts of Shasha and her mother.

Ryan saw a letter envelope addressed to him from Maya's lawyer, containing a divorce suit from Maya. Ryan slammed the light letter on the floor. The letter floated gently and fell to the floor without a sound.
Ryan opened his cell phone to find some messages from Maya. It contained indecent photos and videos with Sofia, as well as videos of Regina and Sofia's fight.
Realization dawned upon Ryan, Sofia caused his destruction.
Damn it!
That home-wrecker! Ryan swore to himself. Maya grinned seeing Ryan go berserk alone.
At the moment, Regina was on her side.
The girl did not want to be poor along with her father.
In the past, she could accept Regina for his love for Ryan. Now she's taking Regina for exacting revenge on Ryan and Sofia.
Regina, that girl didn't care about her biological father and mother. They couldn't provide facilities like Maya Agustin, her stepmother.

Mrs. Rustina even thought that Shasha was going to be absent.
Shasha greeted her father as soon as she reached the meeting venue. Unexpectedly the Mayor even hugged her and kissed her on the cheek, shocking everyone present.
"I apologize, ladies and gentlemen, whom I respect, all this time Shasha has not been honest with you all," the room became noisy. They didn't understand what the Mayor meant. Shasha looked at her father's face pleadingly, so that their secret would not be exposed.
Mr. Rahmat and Shasha spoke in whispers. The room was filled with question marks. The Mayor raised his hand to calm the residents who wanted to know what they were talking about until Shasha's face turned tense.
"Calm down, ladies and gentlemen!" Yusuf the district head, tried to calm his people.
He had long known Shasha's status. Yusuf was the nephew of Isaac, Shasha's grandfather. Yusuf's mother was Isaac's cousin. So Yusuf and Shasha were cousins.
Are the people present in the room still didn't understand what the mayor meant, what's wrong with Shasha? Why was Shasha dishonest? In what way? All this time Shasha had always been a kind and polite child. And, never caused any problem. Shasha was their role model. They were all curious.
The Mayor spoke up.
"Ladies and gentlemen that I respect, I apologize profusely, today I want to say. Shasha is my biological daughter!"
Barrrr. The noise immediately filled the room.
This news shocked them. What was this? How could it be?!
Mrs. Rustina was stunned. Also the imam of the mosque in the village, Shasha's boarding mother. Their mouths were hung open in surprise and shock. Their favorite child Shasha was the daughter of the mayor.

Maya Agustin was too busy with her divorce affairs with Ryan. So she didn't care about Rahmat's attitude for publicly acknowledging Shasha as her daughter.
