Chapter 38: The Lady In Black.

Somewhere on the island of Ishoris, around midnight.

A man clothed in luxurious silk robes walked through the doors of an inn. Grabbing his head full of short brown hair, he closed his raging black eyes as veins bulged around his neck.

Finally, he took deep breaths. Breaths after breaths, until he stood still just as a serene tree in a windless night. He opened his eyelids, and unlike his former visage, his eyes were now tranquil without any ripples flickering in between.

“Let me have my peace, don’t follow me even in here!” the man looked behind him and shouted in displeasure.

“But Young Master, tomorrow--” an armoured guard walked in halfway and said in protest.

Bang! The man smashed his fist against a nearby table as it crumbled into pieces.

“I don’t care what orders my father gave you!” the man commanded. “Just leave me alone for the night!”

“We understand, Young Master,” the guards waiting outside said in unison and left the vicinity of the inn.
