Chapter 3: 3. Bandits
We were on our way to xyrus on some path near a cliff, many thing happen like Jasmine and the twin horns asking me and Art to teach them the movement technique that We use in the spars.
which I answer with a simple sentence "It is Arthur who created the move, I learned it from him" I said while pointing at arthur.
and our birthday on may 29th are coming and we are 5 years old now, Jasmine gives arthur a dagger for present and payment for teaching her.
in the carriage I see my mother have a complex expression in her like she was kind of sick "Mom are you okay" arthur asked her looking worried at her.
while arthur are saying those the carriage just shake suddenly startling us inside, Helen than shout "Bandits" she is the wind augmenter of the twin horn who weild bow and arrow.
Angela reacted quickly and cast a wind barrier to protect us from incoming arrows, We were completely surrounded by bandits everyone was getting ready to engage.
Arthur suddenly released some bloodlust toward the bandit and holding out to his wooden sword, I was controlling my emotion from running wild making sure mother is not worried about me.
Arthur were hugged by mother "Don't worry, I am here" She said when the one who is more worried is her rather than arthur himself.
Arthur expression soften up, but another wave of arrows are coming which are blocked by Durden by Using earth wall, But two arrows managed to passed it and coming towards the carriage.
I reacted quickly and jumped up to deflect the incoming arrows using my Wooden sword which make it a bit cracked but successfully deflect both of it.
The bandits decide it is enough and coming down to do melee combat, Many of them are dealt quickly by the Twin horns including my father.
1 bandits managed to get past them, I reacted and take Arthur daggers and ran up to him with [Soru] slicing his throat and killing him which make my mother worried more as she sees me kill someone.
The fight continue when suddenly my father crashed into the carriage at a fast speed destroying it in the process.
I see the leader of the Bandits standing in the distance after sending my Father away, I was ready to fight when Art said "Mom, You need to heal dads, me and brother will hold him down" which I just nod at him.
we were ready to fight when father said some disturbing matter to us "I'm fine honey, Arthur and Archon, listen carefully After you mother uses her healing on me, the bandits will hunt her down and focused on her" My father said while being healed by mother.
"I'll be able to fend against the leader but not while I need to worry about the three of you, So go take your mother back down the trail we come from and don't looked back, we will be fine." he said.
"What are you talking Old man, me and Art can fight you know that we can help you so stop being a wuss about it and lets fight together" I said clearly annoyed of the speech that my Father gave me.
"I know big guy, You can fight I know you are strong too that's the reason I entrust both of you to protect her and... Her baby inside of her" Me and arthur are both startled at what my father just said.
'Mother were pregnant? I will become a big brother just like Arch?' thought Arthur while in his surprised face.
"I will protect mom, I promise" Said arthur while holding my father hand on my shoulder, I did the same and said "Another baby siblings that I need to be responsible with, I will protect them with my life, trust me dad" which make my father smile and let us go.
"Get ready boys, they are coming, there are 4 mages on them" My father said after getting healed enough by my mother.
"Damn, They got a healer, Don't let her get away" the Bandits leader said to the rest of the bandits group.
"Come on Art" I said at him and he response with grabbing mother hand and take her with us, The bandits that are targeting us are being held by the Twin horns.
I see a archer aiming at us but I cannot react at it but fortunately arthur managed to defend the arrow by using his wooden sword which resulting to it breaking.
'Wait, Father said there are 4 mages but there are only 3 of them including the leader fighting us, where are the last one' I thought when suddenly the bandit leader shout.
"Damn, Forget the Plan Damien, Don't let the live" which make a sudden Water bubble to be created and aimed towards us.
'We can dodge this using our movement technique but mother will not have the time to escape' I think then I look at Arthur in split second before nodding at each other.
We pushed mother away from the aimed place using both our hand and I then face the incoming Ball trying to lessen the damage it will dealt to us.
While Arthur making mana string attached to the dagger Jasmine gave him and throwing it towards the mage that just attacked us.
All 3 of us fell down to the cliff I just closed my eyes but before that I looked at arthur with the face saying 'Its been fun' with a smile which Arthur nodded and close his Eyes to face our doom together like Brother.
'I just get a true Brother who always have the same wave length as me and only managed to live past the 5 years, What a cruel fate I have' I thought while closing my eyes.
I open my eyes and see that I was laying on some grass "By the gods, How am I still alive" I said weakly in surprised at how I survive that fall.
I see that there is some fruit on the nearby tree I decide to try getting up to reach that fruit, but realize my Legs are broken also it seems my ribs are fractured.
the pain continues after a moment of excrusiating pain that felt like forever I managed to get up by using the nearby stick as support.
I walked slowly and take the fruit in the small tree and eat it hoping it is not poisonous, While I was eating a kind yet teasing voice sounded in my head
"I see that you are awake" said the voice inside my head.
