Gary went to Ash the next day . Today Ash had calmed down a lot was able to hold a conversation .
Gary after having a good chat smirked " Now what idiot "
Ash said " We will travel to the next island "
Gary laughed " I will accompany you till next island "
Ash "Why "
Gary smirked " Because it's fun to play with your mind "
Ash "GARY!! "
Despite first rejection Ash came with Gary on his boat with his friends .
Ash asked "How did you get a boat "
Gary said " It is just gift from Grandpa "
After talking to him He called out Crystal Onix
This was first time Onix was out of the pokeball after he was caught .
Onix appeared to be very dissatisfied as he was caught . But because of blessing got by Mew Gary was easily able to befriend him and gain his loyalty .
Meanwhile , Tracey discusses how unusual it is that Togepi doesn't seem to know any attacks. Misty agrees, telling Tracey she's tried to teach Togepi Headbutt but got nowhere. Ash laughs at this, but before an argument can breakout boat is caught in a whirlpool sending the gang flying to a nearby island.
Gary at that time had called back his Onix and at the time of whirlpool hugged the girls so they don't go anywhere .
After they regain consciousness, Tracey identifies the island as Pinkan Island based on the whirlpools and sheer cliffs
Gary saw that his boat was okay despite being in the whirlpool . He looked at Ash and thought 'how good it would be if I had that type of Protagonist halo '
Gary knew that there were pink pokemons up the cliff . In his previous life he was very attracted to Pink Pokemons this why he was able to put his pride down and come with Ash just to visit this island . They climb the cliffs and see a pink Rhyhorn. Tracey decides to observe and sketch it.
Girls were surprised to see pink pokemons they wanted to go and rub him . Gary stopped them as he knew that these pokemon were wild pokemons and may even hurt the girls .
Meanwhile Ash ran up to the Rhyhorn . Gary facepalmed and ran towards a empty space with girls .
Ash races up to the Rhyhorn, who promptly knocks him away. The group is then pursued by the Rhyhorn and cornered by some steep cliffs. However, Togepi uses Metronome and Teleports them away. The Rhyhorn goes over the cliff, landing in a tree, and the group wonders how they escaped. Officer Jenny arrives and rescues the Rhyhorn with her jeep and a set of ropes .
Officer Jennie was very strict and was even preparing to send them in jail .
Gary came out and talked with Jennie .
"Officer Jennie "
Jennie looked at Gary and became shocked " Is.... is it you the ex-kanto champion Gary "
Gary nodded and explained all his situation to her .
Jennie was able to relate and believe in Gary as she knew that there isn't a reason that a champion level trainer with deep background would lie to her .
After that Hennie drops suspicion towards them and explained .Jenny informs the group that Pinkan Island is a reserve for specific pokemons as if this island is made public then there might be poachers coming here .
Then Ash suddenly contacts Pro. Oak for further information . Oak was very surprised by finding Gary with Ash .
He asked Gary about this . Gary just shook his head and said " Just a coincidence "
Gary then took out pokeball of Crystal Onix to get view of Oak on it .
After seeing Crystal Onix for the first Jennie and Oak were surprised . Oak urged to Gary to send Onix to him for research which Gary declined as he said that he wanted to use Crystal Onix in Orange League .
Oak after a lot of difficulty compromised in matter related to Crystal Onix . As Jennie knew about poachers she even wanted to get Crystal Onix for Pokemon league for protection but then quickly denied that thought as she knew the background and power of pokemons of Gary Oak . She knew that this might be the safest place for Crystal Onix .
Ash was very surprised as Gary talked about him using Onix in Orange league . He then felt inferior to Gary as presently he didn't have thought even about his team for the league .
Gary didn't pay attention to the thoughts of them just petted his Onix . Despite having caught Onix yesterday Gary had a great bond with him .
