Chapter 28: 24
Rose and Sonic were on the ground, I was flying along side of them, Bulma was gaping at me.
"your flying?!" I smirked, but said nothing, Sonic was in front of Bulma, Running backwards, smirking smugly with his arms crossed.
"What was that about us, "not being able to keep up?"
Bulma glared at him, "Oh shut it, you are not human, so the idea is even still impossible it is a little conceivable, but these two are not!"
"Actually I'm sure Rose is the only one that's the human here." Sonic snickered.
Bulma glared at him, "that Joke is not funny."
Rose however looked at him with a mixture of surprise and suspicion, "how did you know that?"
Sonic all of a sudden looked nervous. "I uh…"
Rose stared at him for a moment before eyes widened in realization,
"You were spying at us weren't you?!"
Sonic almost tripped, but he composed himself, and chuckled nervously, "I was not really spying, just there uninvited."
Se glared at him with more intensity than before, causing Sonic to shrink, as if he was trying to hide his head in his shoulders.
"That's enough Rose." I said sternly, she looked at me with a shocked expression.
"How can you say that?"
"I have sensed him a while before he made his appearance known." I told her. She looked at me with an angry expression while it was Sonic's turn to look at me with a shocked look, it was impressive that he was still able to keep running when such revelations are being thrown to you in the winds.
"You mean you knew this entire time and didn't tell me?"
I sighed, "relax Rose, I could sense his will, and could tell that he harbored no ill intent, towards us."
I looked at Sonic with a soft smile, "if anything you longed to be with us right, if your feelings of loneliness was anything to be."
Due to the high and increasing emotions of embarrassment, shock, and anger that Sonic was feeling, he tripped and fell, I was about to catch him but Rose beat me to it and rushed after him grabbing him before twirling back towards her spot, seconds before the car hit her.
Sonic was still wearing that shocked expression, Rose was hugging Sonic from behind as she was running, she carried an genuine apologetic expression on her face.
"I'm sorry about that Sonic."
"I…" Sonic hesitated for a moment, before he sighed, "n-no, I'm sorry, I guess it was wrong of me-ach!
He was cut off when Rose hugged him tighter, he looked towards me with pleading eyes. I just shrugged and chuckled.
Rose glanced at me with a slight glare.
"You and I will have a talk later." She said.
I said nothing, just simply smiled.
