Who the the heck is Dave?
I looked up at her and took the glass of water she offered.
After taking a few sips, I felt okay.
"You seem shocked, is everything okay between you?"
"Am actually shocked because I don't know who D..."
I stopped when I remembered that Yolando's safe had that name as the password.
Could those two have something in common or it's just a mere coincidence.
"Everything is fine but there's actually nothing between us because I don't know who you're talking about."
" What? I refuse to believe that you are a prostitute!"
"Sweet Jesus!" My hands flew to my lips.
"A prostitute? Hell no!"
"Then why would you be in the same room with him all this while without knowing such a petty detail about him?"
Oh okay, so the one I've been working for is called Dave? It never occurred to me to have a look at his name.
How do I explain to this woman that we don't know each other?
"I never thought it was necessary." I answered her question dumbly.
"Am not a prostitute." I added quickly.
"Hhummp." She hummed.
"Well, even if you're a prostitute which I guess you're not, what's my take in that? Am glad that he has actually started liking someone enough to bring her home and not only that but to his bedroom as well. It's been a while I saw that."
" Huh?"
"Nothing, just make yourself comfortable and don't sneak out like a thief anymore." She started walking but stopped and added. " The kitchen is yours, come for food anytime you feel like."
I nodded but it sound too good to be true.
"Please keep this a secret." I blurted.
"What?" She asked.
"You see, he doesn't know that am sharing the same room with him and I don't wish for him to know."
"What exactly do you mean?" She asked again.
"Well...am.. actually.. homeless." I let the cat out of the bag.
DAVE
When I came back from work, I was expecting the work to be done but it was just as I left it earlier.
What happened? Was the person not here? I went to my fridge and opened it but there was not a single thing left in it. Was it because there was nothing to eat? Or it was the note I didn't reply?
I took my car keys and drove to my parents house with some documents which needed dad's signature.

I got to know that the woman was called Mary and he said he has known him for ages.
He looked friendly so I told him that I was homeless that was why I come to spend the night secretly in his room.
She told me that I shouldn't sneak in again and that, it was only her and him that lived in the mansion. She explained further that his mom do come but not on regular basis.
I thanked her and left through the main door and after I'd seen my son, I didn't bother jumping fences because she was already waiting for me at the entrance to walk me in.
We chatted about random things and I really like her nature. She reminds me so much of my own mum. I love the fact that she doesn't ask me about who I truly was. She always try not to ask much.
She made me aware that Dave was already in. Then she brought me to the kitchen and served me a sumptuous meal and after that, she took me to a room where I had my bath and changed into a pyjamas she gave me.
So this night, I didn't sleep with Dave.
DAVE
When I got back from my parents place, I told Mary to prepare a cup of raw coffee for me. I was determined to see who it was that have been coming into my room.
After taking the coffee, I stayed up till it was 12am but no one came.
I began to panic slightly. Have I been dealing with a spirit all this time?
I went back to sleep and woke up early.
LEONA
I woke up very late the next day and I was glad when I saw breakfast. I did the normal routine in the bathroom and when I was done, I ate my breakfast and carried the tray to the kitchen where I met Mary. I greeted her and thanked her for the breakfast. We chatted a little before I left for Dave's room.
I went to his study first and instantly spotted a note.
I took it and flipped it. What was written was only a complaint.
📝"Hey, you didn't do my work." 📝
I folded the piece of paper and threw it into a waste bin and rolled my eyes.
The next day, the same routine went on and after that, I went to his room only to see another note.
📝 I'm sorry, am actually grateful, so thank you."📝
I smiled, took the work and did it all.
It was late before I left for my son's hostel and I came back very late.
I ate and went straight to bed.
DAVE
When I came back from work, the work was done and a note was waiting for me as well.
I took it and read it with a smile on my face.
📝"Am glad you finally said "thank you." I didn't work earlier because you forgot to stuff your fridge with food and you know that no one works with an empty belly."📝
I actually did my homework 😊

The next day, I went to his room again and saw a note on the desk.
It continued for weeks and for a moment, I forgot about my problems. We chat normally through short notes and he doesn't cease to bring enough work. I was coming back from my son's hostel as usual when the strange person started following me again.
This shit has been going on for weeks and am tired of it. It's time I knock some sense into his head and warned him to not joke with me. I turned my back and spoke when he was about to start running again.
"Who the fuck are you and why do you keep following me? "
He stopped in his track.
"Wait for me if you got the balls." I said and started walking towards him.
Surprisingly, he didn't flinch or ran. He just stood immobile.
"LEONA." He said.
Who is he and why does he know my name and...
I stopped whatever I was thinking when I recognized the voice.
"Raymond." I whispered.
Hmmmmmmm, just as I thought. Raymond was busy monitoring the safety of his sister, Leona. Meanwhile, how did he even get her trailed after a very long period of separation? What do you think will happen next? Am glad Raymond showed up finally. Keep reading
