Chapter 29: [Chapter:29][Status update.]

There were several very obvious improvements compared to [2 Tomoe Sharingan], not to mention the additional effects. The most important one, however, is the improvement to [Eye of Insight(II)].

What did it mean, to be able to perceive 1,000% of the target's emotions and memories? It meant that even if, for whatever reason, the target's emotions, memories, etc… are sealed or even erased, he would be able to access them. Of course, there is a limit since the increase is only 1,000%, but he hadn't yet encountered it.

Indeed, Echo had used [Eye of Insight(II)] on Shido the moment he saw him, and went through each and every single one of his memories, from the moment he first sucked on his mother's tits, to this morning when he left his home with his mother filled to the brim with his protein, to every immoral action he had ever done.

'Going through someone else's memories won't let me learn their skills…a pity.'

Echo had to admit, no matter how 'evil' he was, the man was an expert psychologist. Not anyone can drive an otherwise innocent young woman to madness, almost making her mind break with nothing but words.

Well, though he found her state pitiful, Echo had no intention of 'saving' the sexy orange head like her knight in shining armour. If she stayed with him and his group, he would protect her from danger. If not?

She would at least be a useful meat shield, he supposed. That luscious and curvy body certainly had enough body fat, especially on the chest, to contain several 'zombies' for several minutes at least. And her screams as she was eaten alive should distract those nearby too…

Moving on to the other skills…

. . . . . .

[Mangekyō Sharingan(Lv-1)]

Type : Skill / Active

Description : Mangekyō Sharingan is the advanced form of the Sharingan, noted to be the "heavenly eyes that see the truth of all of creation without obstruction". Along with the enhanced abilities of the Sharingan, they also grant the user a unique ability for each eye. And both eyes, when together, can access another ability. However, these eyes have a cool down period, and cannot be used indefinitely.

Eye of Insight (IV) — Increase learning speed of skills seen by 200% until skill level reaches that of the performer. Increase perception by 20%. Perceive 20% of targets' emotions. If 'Wisdom' of target(s) is lower than your 'Senses', read up to 20% of their minds, memories, thoughts, etc… . Predict the immediate future action of the target with an accuracy of 2%.

Eye of Hypnotism (IV) — Increase subtlety of 'suggestions' induced through eye contact by 20,000%. Increase effectiveness of 'suggestions' induced by 20%. Directly gain 2% control of any target(s) with a cumulative Wisdom less than your Intelligence.

[Left Eye : Lock n' Load] — Lock on to the spatio-temporal coordinates of any target within the line of sight of your left eye.

[Right Eye : Path of Death] — 'See' all death within the line of sight of your right eye.

Izanagi : Allows the user to distort the line between reality and illusions, switching them. Can only be used once per eye every 500 days. Cool Down time is shared with 'Izanami'.

Izanami : Traps the target in an infinite loop disregarding their five senses. Can only be used once per eye every 500 days. Cool Down time is shared with 'Izanagi'.

Cost : 2,000 M per sec

Cool Down : 5*(Time used) (Maximum continuous time usable - 1 min)

Note : Will advance to [Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan] at level 100.

Note : Cool Down for [Izanagi] and [Izanami] used with [Mangekyō Sharingan] is separate from the same when used with [Sharingan].

. . . . . .

'So I can use it for 1 minute every 5 minutes…but if I split that 60 seconds apart, then I can use it for 10 seconds, let it cool down for 50 seconds, and use it again…not only that, even if I use it for 10 seconds, and only let it cool down for 30 seconds, the remaining 20 seconds will simply be added until the total cool down time reaches 5 minutes before the skill deactivates automatically…'

Echo felt rather stifled, since it was technically the first skill with a cool down, [Fate Breaker] not counted, that he obtained.

'Guess I'll just have to get the 'Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan' sooner.'

Thinking so, he didn't hesitate to activate that skill, watching his MP take a sudden dive.

'As expected…even with how high they are, my MP Recovery can't handle my usage already.'

And if he further evolved the skill to 'Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan', 'Rinnegan', and 'Rinne-Sharingan'? And what about his other skills, if he somehow evolves his 'War Cry' skill to one that has a much higher MP usage?

'MP…it's the one thing I need the most…'

Well, it was something to think about later. Still, it went to show that his initial decision to focus on raising Wisdom first and foremost wasn't a bad one.

After all, his MP Recovery, with 4,009 Wisdom, was a whole 534.53 MP per sec, but it was barely a fourth of the consumption of just one of his skills!

And even with the 2,000 Stat Points that were currently sealed, it would only amount to 800 odd MP per sec, still not enough to use all his skills at the same time for long.

'Luckily, I can increase my Intelligence and Wisdom by large amounts from now on thanks to the titles and the glasses and the skills and the perks…'

By nearly 6 points per minute, 360 points per hour, and if he studied for 8 hours a day, that's an increase of 2,880 points every day.

Shaking his head, he looked at his other skills.

. . . . . .

[Leader(Lv-1)]

Type : Skill / Passive

Description : The qualities of a natural born leader. All registered subordinates do 2% more damage and receive 0.2% less damage.

[[Registered Subordinates]] — None

Subordinate Count : 0/1

. . . . . .

'Oh?'

Another incredible skill, he thought. At Max level, based on his understanding of how skills like these level up, Echo should be able to register 100 subordinates, each of whom would have a 200% damage increase boost and a 20% damage negation boost.

Thus, he already decided to save a 'Skill Advancement Card' for this skill.

'Register subordinate Bones.'

((Confirm?))

'Yes.'

The subordinate count changed to 1, and the 'None' next to 'Registered Subordinates' disappeared as the name 'Bones' appeared in its place.

And Echo could feel another mental connection forming between him and Bones, one similar to yet also different from the ones he had with his other summoned skeletons. And this connection, like a mental thread, entwined together with the original connection he already had with his unique summon, strengthening it while also boosting the other party.

And the very next moment, the skill level began to rocket up.

'A thought to register subordinates as the capacity increases…'

With that done, he looked at the skill he was most curious about.

. . . . . .

[One Man Army(Lv-1)]

Type : Skill / Active

Description : A declaration of being equivalent to an army by oneself. When faced with enemies more in number than those in your party, increase all stats by 1%. If the difference in ratio is higher than or equal to 10, increase all stats by another 1%. If the difference in ratio is higher than or equal to 100, increase all stats by another 1%. If the difference in ratio is higher than or equal to 1,000, increase all stats by another 1%. If the difference in…

Party Members : 1

Cost : -

. . . . . .

'Well…that's convenient, I guess…'

It was a small consolation to the fact that he could no longer get the 'Party Function', meaning one of the major ways of strengthening his family was gone. Still, since his party would forever have only 1 member that is, himself, he would get much greater benefit when facing multiple enemies in the future.

'If it doubles my stats at the Max level…'

Then if he were to face 1,000 enemies with he skill at Max level, all his stats would rise by 300% by virtue of this skill alone, not counting any other boosts by any other skills.

'Unfortunately, the normal skeletons only receive a portion of my pure stats, rather than the booster values.'

Still, it was a pretty good skill to have.

Looking at the final two skills, especially, the last one, Echo sighed as he knew his Sis would tease him for a good month or so.

. . . . . .

[Driving(Lv-50)]

Type : Skill / Active

Description : The act of operating a vehicle. Have 50% familiarity with any vehicle, and when driving, vehicle gains a 50% increase in speed, durability, acceleration, deceleration, fuel mileage, etc… .

Cost : -

. . . . . .

. . . . . .

[Arson(Lv-1)]

Type : Skill / Active

Description : The act burning people, property, etc… intentionally. Any flames which are a result of your actions, magical or otherwise, are 1% hotter, 1% harder to extinguish, spread 1% faster, burn for 1% longer, and do 1% more damage.

Cost : -

. . . . . .

He watched as the skill 'Arson' began to level up quite quickly too, courtesy to the huge flaming mess behind the bus.

'Bones, use fire attributed spells more.'

Since Bones was considered a part of his strength, his own fire should be boosted, as well as provide his skill with more experience.

Thinking so, he felt his vision change.

'One minute's up?'

Looking at his 'Mangekyō Sharingan' skill which went into cool down, he sighed softly.

'Now, since the 'Leader' skill hasn't reached the Max level yet, I have 3 'Skill advancement Cards' to use…'

Looking at his list of skills, he already knew which ones to use them on.

((Use [Skill Advancement Card] on skill [Summon Skeletons]?))

'Yes.'

((Skill [Summon Skeletons] updated. Conditions met. Acquired skill [Summon Skeletons(II)].))

. . . . . .

[Summon Skeleton(II)(Lv-1)]

Type : Skill / Active / Summon

Description : Summon 10 level 1 undead skeletons from the Necrotic Universe. Summon's level rises with skill level and summon's stats rise with summoners'.

[Skeleton]

Level : 1

Strength : 5 + 0.773 (5.773)

Endurance : 5 + 0.773 (5.773)

Vitality : 5 + 0.773 (5.773)

Agility : 5 + 0.773 (5.773)

Intelligence : 5 + 4.019 (9.019)

Wisdom : 5 + 6.009 (11.009)

Senses : 5 + 0.703 (5.703)

Charm : 5 + 0.710 (5.710)

Note : Pure Stats increase by 5 for each level. Derived Stats increase by 0.1% of Gamer's for each level.

. . . . . .

'Huh…only the number changed?'

But then, one of his thoughts alerted him of something.

'This is…'

His 'Mental Arithmetic(II)' skill, the first skill he had 'advanced', had just passed level 100, reaching level 101.

'Oh, it's level 102 now.'

It's still levelling up quickly, but is obviously slowing down each level.

'I see, so the level cap rises as well.'

In that case, the new skill made sense.

'Wait, if the level cap somehow rises to above level 1,000, then won't each skeleton have more stats than me?'

Indeed, in that case, each skeleton, other than its pure stats, would also have more than 100% of his own stats.

The thought of having an army of such skeletons made him Echo grin widely.

'Then, the other two cards…'

Looking at his skill list, he selected the two skills on which he wanted to use them.

((Use [Skill Advancement Card] on skill [Focus]?))

((Use [Skill Advancement Card] on skill [Learning]?))

'Yes, and yes.'

((Confirmed…))
