Summary of the previous chapter:
Max gets to think about everything that had happened, since he left the Rouran Empire. Max thinks that, with his intervention, the timeline could change, since he had saved many people, and had intervened in important events. Konan gets up and starts talking to Max. During breakfast, Max tells them that they will be leaving very soon. Konan acts strangely, and Max notices his unusual behavior. After Max asked Konan, she told him that she was waiting for her dad, but she hadn't come yet. Max could only sigh heavily after hearing her words. Max offers Konan to say goodbye to his father, since he will go to rest, and he will not be able to be with them, Konan accepts the offer. Max removes the corpse of Konan's father; and Konan and Kana say goodbye. Konan didn't understand what was happening, but she hugged Max, after he said goodbye to his father. Max could only hug Konan, since she was still a child, and he began to think, how such a small girl could survive the war. Kana stopped crying, after saying goodbye to her husband, and prepared to leave this place. The three leave the cave heading to the Rouran Empire.
