The short version is that this isn't so bad. Compared to other trial reads, at least. You shouldn't listen to other reviews. Almost all of them are just based on the title or synopsis. I can see only 1/2 of the reviews are accurate, but from what I understand, they have not read through chapter 40. Can't wait to see the future chapters of this story. This story is worth re-reading. I haven't re-read many books, even ones that I praised highly. The actual review is as follows: 「Translation Quality」 ✮✭✮✭✮ All Pilot Reads usually get a 4/5 from me. A translation is not a thesis by an English major that determines a person's future career. If it was only machine translated, I would've given it a one/two, but with a cleaner who even went as far as Westernizing it, I have to at least give them some credit. Bumped up the rating to 5/5 because I felt like this story deserves the extra praise. 「Stability of Updates」 ✮✭✮✭✮ Rating the "Stability of Updates" score for a story is... Complicated. The overall score is directly proportional to the quality and upload speed, whereas the quality is indirectly proportional to the upload speed. The slower the uploads, the better the quality, but the more uploads, the more people are happy. Then again, since this is machine-translated work, I won't dwell too much on it. And, well, it's a trial read. It updates 5 chapters a day, then goes on "hiatus" once it reaches 40 chapters. In 3 months, if the readers vote for it, it will be picked up. It's now time for the make-or-break moments. A story's crux. Note that these ratings are based on other trial-read stories and not on novels in general. The scores would be devastatingly low if we were to rate them based on the stories I read. 「Story Development」 ✮✭✮✭✮ Story development entails taking inspiration from your imagination and putting it down on paper. This is what I've heard from writers in the past. How then is Story Development handled in this story? Chinese web novels tend to run for several thousand chapters, so there is a lot of elaborated plot, but most of it is just filler. The repetition of clichés is what makes a Chinese story ... well, Chinese. This story, however, avoids those Chinese clichés that detract from the experience. There are a few, but the story doesn't revolve around them. Chinese-translated derogatory terms ("Blue Planet") and mediocre names are still used. Apart from that, it's not too bad. There are certainly problems, but this isn't the typical face-slapping culture-cultivation with airheaded chicks and ignorant stepping stones story you'll find. First of all, there are hardly any human interactions. MC's only contact with humans ends in death or — <SPOILER #1 AT END OF REVIEW> There is a "golden finger" for MC. He also seems to have little trouble dealing with enemies. Up until Chapter 40, he never encountered an enemy that he would have difficulty facing off against. The only time he's had trouble is when fighting something like a mini-boss (Just a monster on the same rank as him) while trying not to use his Isekai Cheat Skill™. In terms of Story Development, not much can be said. "The ability to depict your thoughts into a story exactly as you want it to be." is Story Development. Perhaps they intended to say: "Does this story have a plot progression, or is it filled with unnecessary fighting scenes and boring clichés?". 「Character Design」 ✮✭✮✭✮ Once in a while, it's refreshing to see the main character like this. The main character is non-human, for starters. Secondly, MC isn't a humanoid thing, like an elf or a demon; he is a complete monster. Like, the monsters you find in your portals-and-players rifed manhwas. After he transmigrates, it breaks his nature as a human, and he ends up having humans after reviewing their lives. "They're narcissistic and xenophobic," and that's why MC stares at them with little to no regret for the things he has done or is about to do to them. Big-boob airheaded chick doesn't concern MC. If you have talent, good. If you have looks, that won't help you in the jungle. He experiments on people to discover the extent of his abilities and to find out more about his current situation. A person can't live by morals and ethics unless they make them a dictator with trustworthy allies. There is a system that the main character relies on to grow stronger. There aren't any carrots and sticks just yet. MC is born cold-blooded, and he plays his role accordingly. 「World Background」 ✮✭✮✭✮ The story takes place on a small island near Indonesia. In chapter 9, MC regards the island as the "Komodo Island of Indonesia." Some sections are given descriptive details, but most of it relies on your knowledge of what a small island on Earth looks like. This one caught my eye and I'm glad it did as I enjoyed it. Well translated with only a few minor errors. I think if you liked Tales of the World Devouring Serpent you will enjoy this. Almost like a mix between TOTWDS and Crimson Dragon. It seems like the world building is more a slow paced style with more info coming as the MC discovers it himself. The MC is definitely more leaning toward evil development as he doesn't hesitate to experiment on humans. Some of the comments on him capturing a beautiful girl are a bit inaccurate on what he wants from her. After all just because it's a girl doesnt mean he wants to do something with her, he's a beast now and fully knows it. Give it a shot and make your own opinion. One of the better ones this week. I rate this 1 properly sighted artillery position.

Translation: not perfect but that could be expected, still very much enjoyable. Updates: 3 months without new chapters so... Story: seems fine, slower progress but still good, can't wait for what happens next. Character: the fact alone that he was human but does accept his new body and does not spend his every awake thought on becoming human again makes it 5/5 for me. Another thing: he does not go out of his way to find women and create an interspecies harem, this is THE character for those types of novels. World: believable, not enough story progress and perspective to say more.

Finally, something half decent I'm only rating five stars to help pray that it passes trial chapters. .I. .I. Anyway besides that I guess the rest of the review should be page filler considering I don't have much to say about it but, what kind of page filler? How about, hmm no copy and paste, words devoid of meaning or life yet still there not as an ample reminder that the author is dumb but that the author of the person writing this is writing this as they would write a novel, formulaic at best non-sequential at worst. Disorganized trashed discarded forgotten razed by an inferno to be recalibrated several seconds later a molten pile of trash that, unlike this text, own's its own small yet meaningful purpose in this life of ours. Now that I have all that off my mind I feel a peace above the concept of peace encompassing warm yet rushing rapid, vivacious vile yet delicate something so close yet always out of reach therefore, the pain I feel now is the happiness I have had before and will gain later yet again, That is the deal.

A very poor quality of writing. 1.the author didn't bother to check facts.. .or something, because I really don't understand how there are water, Billboard after nuclear blast on a small island. 2.the author said A island that has sprouted out of nowhere, but later lain story he said it is a tourist park. 3.Also the plot isn't that attractive with a typical mc and cliche same story.
I just like it because of the simple story. mc becomes lizard. mc is lizard. mc accept's the fact he is a lizard. he doesn't instantly whine and complain about not being human. mc gets stronger pretty fast and dragons are cool. (spoiler mc is becoming a dragon.) (shhh spoiler) (top secret)

A non human novel that contains an mc that is not comstantly thinking about jow to become a human again. He also doesnt consider himself a human anymore and at chapter 20 considers himself on the other side. He is calculative and cold, the perfect mc for one of these novels. Cant wait to see how it turns out.
