Chapter 108: Chapter 108

Kane could sense that no surrender was imminent, only the shedding of blood and ending of lives. He also knew that despite the weekend state of the Kokarian troops the battle would be tough with Boitata in charge. Luckily for him, his troops outnumbered hers and he had his two summoned battle masters with him.

"So you're the false king who rains over these abominations. Good, we meet again. This time you will burn until death is all you yearn for." Boitata said with fiery fury in her eyes.

"It seems you don't understand your situation. You have already lost. My abominations were far superior to anything you brought with you. I suggest you surrender. We don't have to be enemies. The Kingdom of Kokar is on the road to oblivion. Your twelve keep dwindling. I defeated you once and I will defeat you again. Don't throw away your lives," said Kane.

The men behind Boitata seemed afraid and unfit for battle. Kane hoped they would give up and make life easier for all. Boitata on the other hand looked ready to blow. He prepared himself to end it quickly. He had an idea but it would only work once. While talking he inched closer to Boitata.

"You dare think you've won! I will kill you here and now. Let's fight! Just you and me! Prove you have the making of a king!"

Kane smiled. Her emotions had clouded her previous strategic mind and careful disposition. A fire magic battle art suited her. He was also close enough to her and she was distracted enough for him to act on his plan.

"I accept."

"Shunk!"

"Arghh!"

Kane appeared directly in front of Boitata. His eyes locked with hers. A smile on his face. Fear filled her eyes. Her body's tensions started to weaken. Her energy drifted away.

"I need to start being more confident. You Kokarians aren't really worth much."

"I failed master..."

Boitata uttered her final words before falling to the ground and dying.

Kane took a deep breath before turning to the surviving Kokarian soldiers. The hummingbird battle art was very strong but as his battle energy was not proper level for it yet it takes a lot out of him to use.

"So how about you guys? Do you surrender or will I have to send you off to the next life?"

The 16 or so knights dropped their weapons and gave an affirmation of defeat. Kane had his men take them to the dungeon. He had no use for them at the moment.

"That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be," said Kane.

"There was little challenge chief. Those pinkies hold nothing over you," said Kellog.

"Well to be fair all would not have been possible without you. It was your idea to get Skag to join and his ratfolk were integral to this victory."

"I am glad I could help."

"Annius please send scouts out to see if there're any more survivors or reinforcement. I want nothing left to chance."

"It will be done, my lord."

Kane was elated at the easy win but already planning on the next one. He knew that it was only a matter of time before his territory would become the front lines. He knew battle would ravage that area and soon his tactics would not be enough against the numbers and wealth of his enemy. He decided that he would make the diplomatic drip the White Sparrow Kingdom right away. He must make the alliance official. He must win the war at all costs.
