Chapter 2: Genesis
Peter POV:
''Leo?'' I said with a foreboding feeling grow in the centre of my body. ''LEO!'' I yelled once again, as I saw him fall I watched him slump over onto the floor. I ran towards him, pushing everyone else out of the way, as Mr Williams quickly ran out of classroom shouting for the nurse.
I began to lightly tap his head, seeing if he was going to come to. Nothing was working, in a panic, I grabbed the other side of his arm to check his pulse only to be met with something, that I could only label as egregious. A small patch of his skin, had turned green while a few metres from this abnormality, he had another patch, of malformed skin.
It was pale green in colour, with it's texture being rough, tough and rocky, with even shards of skin poking outwards as if they were mini daggers.
''Peter?'' another student said, ''what's wrong?''. ''its..its ugh-ugh his skin.. it's mutated'' I said quietly, but loud enough for him to hear. I waited for a response only to be met with a look of cringe and slight annoyance.
''Someone! carry Leo and come with me!'' shouted Mr Williams, as he re entered the class room with a few more teachers and the school nurse. ''Move it parker'', the student who I had just talked to said, as he pushed me out of the way, and lifted up Leo along with another one of my classmates and a teacher. Before exiting the classroom he said ''you really are a nerd,.. making jokes at a time like this? '' while giving me a look of shame and mockery.
It mattered not, I thought to myself as I began to wonder what had just happened? I thought to myself, how had my senses not alerted me about what was happening to Leo. What. Did this not count as danger or did my powers require different factors to operate efficiently?
And what I saw on Leo's skin, had he gone through some type of mutation? Was he like me? No. That couldn't be possible. It must have been, a hallucinating I mean the other dude didn't seem to know what I was talking about.
''yeah....''I said to myself. It must have been a hallucination I said to myself. Maybe the bite, I had affected my mind and body in or ways than one. For better or for worse.
A/N: Don't really know what you guys will think about this, I just wanted to show his first time using his power unknowingly without others realising
few hours later
LEO POV:
Rage. It was undeniable that that, was the only thing in my head as it forcefully drilled itself into my mind. I slowly raised my eye lids, that still felt unusually heavy. 'urgh'' I uttered, as light invaded my peripheral view. After a few seconds, I opened my eyes to see that I was in an emergency room, with drip tips attached to my arm, with the occasional ''BEEEP'' of the machine monitoring my heart rate.
After a few seconds of bearing my grounds, I quickly began to think about what had occurred back at school, before I had fallen into unconsciousness. I had suddenly found my self filled with over whelming rage, and with that overwhelming rage came an overwhelming strength, as when I had placed my hand on the table for support, it immediately broke underneath my strength.
''KRA-KA-BOOM'', I was immediately pulled out of my thoughts by a loud explosion, that had gone off what seemed to be a few miles away. Immediately, if not a few seconds later could be heard the screams of people running from the explosions epi-centre. If that wasn't enough, I began to hear shouts outside of my hospital room, with the alarm going off.
??? POV: Somewhere in the skies located and a helicarrier that bears the symbol of a falcon on it's exterior.
In a dark room, could be seen a man on a chair equipped with dual pistols and an eye patch on his left eye.
''Abomination and Banner, are currently engaged in combat, in the heart of New York'' he said, in a stern and blunt voice. ''The casualties are bound to be high I want the best agents available, to circle around them and set up a safe zone. And if you can, see if you can get the attention of the spider kid, as he's the only one available'' He said, as he put down his communications device''.
LEO POV:
I was now running through the corridors of the hospital, trying to reach the exits. I ran past rooms, where patients had been left unattended, abandoned by 'doctors' though it pained me to say it, all I could do was run past their rooms as there was simply nothing I could do.
''There it is! I shouted, as I saw the flailing doors that led to the outside. Not wasting any more time, and quickly bolted for it. And what did I see?
Chaos.
In the distance buildings were set aflame. I watched in awe, as some buildings had even collapsed as it was as if their foundations had been torn through, just like paper. ''ROARR'' I heard again and again. They were getting louder and louder, they were getting closer.
''KRA-KA BOOM'' I heard once again, another explosion? No. There was no flash of bright light or fire, there was just a deafening sound along with a slight gush of wind. ''KRA-KA-BOOM'' I heard once again, but this time I could locate what was causing such a blast.
I looked up at the sky, to a being of immense muscle mass and green skin, fighting what seemed to be a bulking pale skinned monstrosity. They were flying, no falling through sky in... my direction?
My skin began to pale, and my breath began to quicken as it had become clear to me, that they were on a collision course towards me.
I turned to move back into the hospital, to find myself frozen in shock. It felt as if any move I made here on out, could lead to a premature death. Fuck it. Immediately gaining mobility, I doubled back into the hospital, but it was too late, as I quickly found myself being pushed by a powerful gust of wind.
''OOF'' I shouted, as I collided against the hard concrete wall. Feeling a trickle of something cold oozing out my head, I put my hand up to my head, to see that blood had started to run it's way down the back of my head.
''Fuck'' I said looking up to see that the green guy who I assumed was the hulk of this world, picked up the abomination by the head destroying the hospitals foundations.
''FUCK, FUCK, FUCK'' I said as they, got closer and closer. I immediately made a B line for the next corridor, slightly limping as the walls around me, began to crumble down with the savage beings duking it out.
Panic once again, began to spread through my mind as the possibilities of my survival rate, began to decrease. My mind began to become obscured as rage quickly ensued my mind, once again. It had taken me a while but my skin had began to glow green and my size began to increase, as my muscles began to contort.
As if the universe, wanted me to fail a pillar beam had fallen through the nearly unrecognisable hospital. ''NO'' I shouted in a voice almost demonic, I quickly jumped to avoid it's hellish flames.
As soon as my foot left the crumbling ground, I found myself being thrusted from the air as my body had catapulted itself through the hospitals burning walls.
Higher and higher I went, till I crashed through the hospitals highest floor, and now found myself high in the sky. I could see all the destruction caused by the fight between the two beasts.
I turned back to see the entire hospital collapse, and go out in flames. Wait no....
how was I doing this? Soaring through the skies, crashing through floors, without even feeling any pain.
I looked to the closest sky scraper, as they were the only constructions at my altitude at the moment.
And as soon as I laid my eyes, on it I began to regret even bothering to look at all.
I was an.... amalgamation. One my right side I had green bountiful skin, rich in muscle, and on my right I had webbed fingers with dry pale skin. I was a fusion of the two beings from before, I had mimicked their looks..
no it was more than that, I had mimicked their powers.
