I want to barge in. But its privacy i know. Even though they are my parents, my mama and papa. Still they are the ruler of this country, they deserve respect.
As much as i want to mingle and ask what's the matter because really this is the first time i heard papa shout at mama. I just can't believe it.
When I didn't heard any response, i walk away.
The fleeting feeling is gone just by now.
"Son-n, your early"
I saw mama walking to me with a smile plastered on her lips. Like there is no arguments happened a while ago. Is it fake? What the hell is happening? Is this about the King who steal? I know he's here yesterday night but I didn't care that much because of Princess Anika. I lost focus.
"We should eat mama" I replied and snap my thoughts.
I didn't mind asking where is papa. I dont want mama to bother. Should i talk to him later?
After a while.
"We have a visitor later" papa said while walking down the stairs.
I dont know if he is talking to me or to mama?
"Im done son. Eat your breakfast and do what you need to do" mama said in a monotone and walk away to papa.
That's it.
"Papa is there a problem?" I ask papa. Curiosity duh.
" Just a misunderstanding son.. Continue to eat your breakfast, i have something to do"
I only nod.
Before proceeding he add.
" Oh and Princess Anika will come here later. Lunch son"
I immediately smile and wiggle my eyebrows. Too soon huh. I should make a move later.
I decided to check our garden going to north. I suddenly remember that lady.
Nothing much happened yesterday night so i think that spy or whoever she is, is gone? Nvm.
"Good morning Prince"
I smile and nod to the eldest.
I busied myself with sightseeing near the Falls and Valley. I love this actually, this is my favorite place in our palace. I smell the scent of the flowers around. I really love nature. How refreshing it is. So green yet so blue.
"Prince.." someone interrupts.
I look at the back.
Young maids are in there. Offering me a mat where i can sit down.
"No im fine, thank you" i said formally. They only bow and proceed.
My thoughts wandered again to my parents. Maybe papa is just frustrated this pass few days the reason why he shout at mama?
Problems outside? I wonder what is it.
"Prince, the King is calling you"
Someone called again, the Royal guard.
"Papa you called?"
"Yes son. I want you to choose what should we eat later it's already 10am. We should be ready. "
"You want me to go to the kitchen papa?" I ask
"Yes, just pick some food for the lunch later and the royal chef will cook it"
"Got it papa"
"Thank you son"
I did what papa want me to do. Instructed the chef what should he/she cook and then left the Kitchen.
I decided to take a nap before lunch so i walk up to my chamber.
"I really dont get Santi. I told him so many times por pabor and he just dont want to believe me!"
Mama is talking someone in the Library.
Im not chismoso but to fully understand her anger towards what papa is doing, i should hear both
sides.
"Did you already told him about the recent issue of that kingdom, Kingdom Ninnikx just lost their flag because of him"
"I know that's why i dont know what's up with Santi!" Mama cut her.
In our country as what I've said, Papa is the ruler, Kingdom of Korya. We have flag. Flag that is forbidden. We hide it in a place no one knows. And if someone got it,our Kingdom will fall and war will starts because of greed and chaos.
Just by thinking it frightens me. Worried to papa and mama, to the kingdom, to the people outside.
One of the reason why we dont allow outsider. We treasure our flag. One thing is in every Kingdom we have different Kinds of strength. Our kingdom's strength is our land, the plants, fruits, trees we treasure the most, is the roots of our kingdom. We have plenty of food , wide variety of kitchen that other Kingdom envy.
"I should find a way to stop this nonsense... what ever it takes."
The last thing i heard before i find myself standing in the Dining room waiting for Princess Anika and her father to what papa say's. I am bothered by what mama said, i know eavesdropping is bad but i just cant help it, I didn't even take a nap and it feels like i just blink and here i am.
"Welcome.. Again" i snap to reality when i hear papa talk.
I immediately move my eyes to Princess Anika. Yes hahaha. Nevermind the Father just Princess Anika.
I only bow to her father who is also a king and without a word turn to her.
"We meet again. To soon but I really like it Anika"
Two points for me. I counted, when i kiss the back of her palm and she giggled.
I heard someone clearing there throat so i stand proudly next to my Princess. Yes, my Princess.
Papa and my soon to be papa laughs.
"The food is delicious amigo" father-in-law said.
I smiled. When it comes to food, where good to that.
"My son.." papa gesture my side. "Choose the food for today's lunch"
"How old is your son amigo?"
"Going 16 next month "papa replied.
Father-in-law arch his brow.
"My Anika here is 18 already " he said.
"You look like 15 to me Anika" i cant help to respond. "I cant wait to turn 16 next month" I murmur. But they heard it.
"I expect you next month amigo" papa said to father-in-law.
"Sure of course amigo. Me and Anika will go. By the way. I think we have something to talk right?"
"Yes, a thing we should discuss. In my chamber amigo"
They left us. I heard crickets until i turn to Anika who sits across me and said...
"So my Anika, mind if we talked and resume this in the garden?" I asked.
She grin and nod. Gone the Anika who feels shy yesterday. I like her this way..
