Kai Fengjun had already figured out Lin Qinqing's relation to Yue Ling when she mentioned last time that she was related to Lin Meilin. He too knew about Yue Ling's family situation.
It felt very satisfying to see his know it all sister wrong while he was right.
Lin Qinqing stood up and went to their table. She couldn't just sit there and let the other woman think she had won against her.
"Mr. Kai, how are you doing?" Lin Qinqing asked. She wanted them to at least be frequent acquaintances. All her shame was kept elsewhere,it wasn't a crime to talk to someone who was on a date.
"I am well, miss," he replied. He wanted to see what she was planning to do.
I need to tell you something about her,she said looking at his sister.
"This lady here is a fraud, she is trying to deceive you," Lin Qinqing said pointing fingers at Kai Lin Ya and increasing her voice to get everybody's attention.
"Miss, do I know you?" Kai Fengjun asked. He was angry at her behavior towards his sister but he had to something about the woman.
"We have met before at banquets, I just don't want to let you be deceived," she replied. She hoped he didn't remember her because she mentioned banquets again.
Kai Fengjun couldn't help but think, "banquets again!"
"This lady colluded with a woman who was pretending to be my cousin to steal from the Lin Family," Lin Qinqing said. She was happy to see that people were now giving her audience. The lawyer was going to be embarrassed.
This news attracted the attention of many because of the surname Lin. Everybody wanted to know about the things happening in a powerful family.
Kai Lin Ya was wondering why her brother was just seated calmly listening to Lin Qinqing's lies. When she realized what she was happening, she applauded her brother. Kai Fengjun usually did everything patiently,he set the traps well and waited for the prey to get trapped.
His patience and calmness made people overlook his cunning side.
The ignorant woman wasn't aware she was being trapped.
Lin Qinqing was hanging her family's dirty laundry in public. "A woman pretending to be her cousin."
This clearly gave the impression that the Lin Family members didn't really know how the second young miss looked like.
Before, it was hearsay the Lin family was not united. They were hungry for power and didn't like each other.
People also wondered where Lin Jingxuan 's ex wife and legitimate daughter were.
Rumors also spread after Lin Jingxuan got divorced. He had introduced an Lin Meilin at that time which brought about questions because she wasn't his wife's and his daughter.
Also, the story of the eldest daughter of the Lin Family, Lin Yaoha who got pregnant before marriage when she had just gotten engaged.
Lin Qinqing was unknowingly adding to the problems her family had. Adding to the rumors and giving a bad name to her family.
"Let's leave now," Kai Fengjun stood up after listening to Lin Qinqing. His job was already done.
Kai Lin Ya stood up too and glanced at Lin Qinqing who looked confused. It seems like she was wondering why Kai Fengjun ignored her words.
"Whatever you have said about me today will not go unpunished, everybody here acts as witness when I sue you for slander," she said.
Lin Qinqing suddenly noticed she had caused trouble. It didn't help that people kept on taking videos around her on their phones.
"Also, next time, try not to embarrass yourself, don't order wine for someone who doesn't drink," Kai Lin Ya concluded as she left passing by shocked Lin Qinqing.
Meanwhile, at the Lin Family Hospital, an emergency board meeting was being held. After the incident at Flower District, most board members for some reason had been acting odd.
Most of them withdrew their shares were selling the shares they owned.
"Why didn't you listen to my advice before?" Lin Jingxuan said to his daughter. He had also gone against her decision to go to Flower District for research because they were using their own funds. The expenses were high because of equipment, salary for the researchers and many more yet investors weren't willing.
The few who supported were disappointed with the end results. The Hospital might even face compensation charges.
"President, I will find a way of solving this," Lin Meilin said. She didn't like it when her father became disappointed in her.
She left her father's office afterwards and he didn't even look at her .
Her resolve was to buy back some of the shares.
When she got her phone to make a few calls,she was stunned by what she saw.
"Lin family member to face charges for slander?."
"Lin family member Lin Qinqing confirms that the second young miss isn't known?."
"Lin family not united?."
The articles were many and were all giving a negative image about their family. As she was trying to fix things,it seems her cousin was hell-bent on ruining everything. The girl and her mother were an extra burden to the family and they only caused trouble.
Lin Meilin broke a flower vase in anger"paaa".
Something hit Lin Qinqing's leg as she was entering the house. She looked up at the direction it came from in anger ready to strike whoever it was when she saw her grandmother. The object that hit her was a staff.
"Grandmother, why,it hurts?" she said as she saw her grandmother's angry look indicating it wasn't a mistake.
"You disgrace," the old woman shouted.
She had come across news about what happened today. Wang Changli kept to mordern times and was active on social media so she got to know everything.
Her family had once again become the centre of attention to many in a bad way. To make things worse, it was Lin Qinqing who caused it.
Couldn't she be grateful and not drag down their family name? The least she could do was make sure she did disgraceful things in private but she was brazen enough to go public.
It showed how dumb she was.
"Grandmother, I am sorry but,"
She couldn't finish her statement because the old lady had just given her a slap.
A loud "piak" was heard alarming even the servants.
Lin Qinqing looked up at her grandmother as her cheek heated painfully as it stang. She even tasted something metallic and salty from the corner of her mouth.
"Mother, how could you hit her so hard, wasn't it enough that you hurt her legs?" Lin Yaoha complained as her eyes watered.
She knew about what her daughter had done but that wasn't enough reason for her to be beaten like that.
"Shut up, Yaoha, the both of you are only good for nothing," Wang Changli spoke harshly.
"Ohh mother,so who's so valuable, brother and his daughter?" Lin Yaoha asked. She was getting tired of the poor treatment they got at home.
If it was Lin Meilin, would she be punished this way. Why was none of them fair?
