Chapter 3: I Don't need a Fiancée now! I am Eight years old, for god's sake!
I didn't expect to breakthrough to the intermediate stage in one go! That was truly an unexpected pleasant surprise.
I then proceeded to eat the second one. I can feel my energy rising rapidly within my body. Within 10 minutes I had reached Tier-1 Peak stage.
I feel great! I didn't expect to gain so much from the fruits. I then proceeded to eat the Fire Affinity fruit.
[Ding! Congratulations to the Host for upgrading Fire elemental talent to Middle-level!]
"Holy Shit! Middle-level with one fruit!"
[Don't be too excited Host, the effects of affinity fruits will decrease on successive consumptions.]
'That's fine.'
'So System, how do I earn energy points?"
[Ding! The Host can extract energy from any source, living or non-living!]
[The Host can kill magical beasts and absorb their life energy, killing humans also give energy]

'Hmm, so it seems I have to go on an adventure myself, if I wish to improve and expand my army. I have to ask father about this.'
After putting Lucifer back into the storage space, he went ahead to find his father. He knocked the door of the study and entered. His father was shocked to find Carter's cultivation, he was wondering how did he suddenly give out the aura of a Tier-1 Peak stage mage.
Recovering from his shock, he asked, "Carter, how did you suddenly become an Tier-1 Mage??"
"I had already told you about my unique constitution right? So, the thing is, it kinda let's me cultivate faster."
Albert Grayson truly didn't expect such a cultivation speed from his son though." Haha! My son is a freakin' genius!" he laughed out loud.
"Anyways dad, I wanted to ask you something." I asked.
"Before that, tell me what you think about that Fairchild girl?" he inquired without heeding me.
"Emma? I like her, she's good, we have fun playing together. Why do you ask father?" I ask confused.
"It's just that my good friend, Earl Fairchild and I were meeting up in a gathering, and it somehow escalated to the point of fixing a marriage between the two families. So I just wanted to ask, is it fine with you?" he asked.
" FATHER!! Why would I need a fiancée when I am just eight years old?! Why don't you find one for my sister, Ava?" I asked, startled.
"Ava's studying in the Royal Academy now, I can't bother with her now, anyways, we had already decided on this matter, so just try to get to know her better." he told me.
Pouting, I ask him, "Father I want to explore some dungeons."
"No way, I am not sending a eight year old child to explore a dungeon." he flatly refused.
"Please father, I can't grow if I am cooped up in the mansion, I can take Uncle Ralph with me too." I begged him.
Uncle Ralph is one of the elite soldiers under our force, he is a Tier-4 Advanced stage Aura warrior at just 28 years old. He's one of the strongest around here.
"Hmm, I will ask Ralph if he's okay with babysitting you, if he agrees, I will allow you to go." he said.
"Thank you father!". 'Ralph will definitely agree, because we are close and he will not say no to me. Hehe'. I thought.
I run out of the study to go and find Uncle Ralph, he was training a group of new soldiers. "ATTENTION! Go run ten laps around the ground, the last one to finish has to take extra laps!" he was busy commanding them while I went behind him and called.
"Uncle Ralph, can you take me to explore some dungeons around the area?" I ask him in a pitiful tone with watery eyes.
"You know you can't fool me with your act, if you want, I will take you." he chuckled.
I run back to my father's study to relay the news to him. He asked me to pack and leave tomorrow morning. My mother vehemently opposed this arrangement, but I was somehow able to console her into letting me go.
"Hey young lord, I heard that you are going on a journey to explore dungeons. Can I come with you?" John asked me, pitifully.
"Well, if your father's okay with it, you can come along." I told him.
"Father has already agreed, because I have a Middle-level affinity with Dark elemental, he thinks that I can grow up faster by going with you!" he replied enthusiastically.
"Okay then, pack up your stuff, we are departing at dawn tomorrow." I reminded him.
'I had already planned out everything, when I return, it will be with an army of mechas at my disposal.' I thought.
"Uncle Ralph, what is the nearest dungeon from here?" I asked him.
"It's the wolves dungeon, all those wolves are only at Tier-1, so it's a beginner's dungeon, shall we start there young lord?"
"Sure, we will start with that dungeon." I agreed.
After that, I went to a secluded spot where no one comes and took out Lucifer from the system storage. Finally, I had long wanted to test and experience the feeling of controlling a mecha.
"Lucifer, initiate manual operation." I commanded. It's body opened up in the front, enough to let an adult human inside.
I step inside with anticipation, and as soon as the body closed, it was dark for a moment before an holographic screen came out giving me a clear picture of my surroundings, under it were the health bar of the mecha, energy remaining for flight, thermo scan, etc.
I was dazzled for a moment taking in this new experience.
'This is really damn cool man, this was how Iron Man must have felt when he got into his suit' he exclaimed inwardly.
