''And who the hell *cough* are you?'' Karmine said while standing back up while coughing up blood.
The lighting that struck this was more powerful than run of the mill lighting, and Karmine knew that, without a single doubt, the woman in front of him was the cause of the said lighting strike.
''You don't know who this is!? You insolent fool!! Not only that you dare to barge here alone, but you also don't know who the all-mighty shogun is!?'' This time it was the bird woman who response to Karmine question.
''The shogun? So that means you are the leader of all these weaklings, right?'' Kartmine said. The grin slowly reappeared on his face, and seemingly the word weakling seemed to roll off his tongue like it was in his nature to call everyone weakling.
''You dare-'' Before the bird-woman can finish her sentence, the shogun cut her off.
''Don't listen to him, general Kujou; you and all of your men should fall back. I will deal with this barbarian myself.'' The shogun said toward bird-woman who Karmine now know her name as Kujou.
''But-'' The general hesitates for a few seconds before finally making her decision, ''I understand shogun-sama.'' she said before ordering all of her men to retreat.
Karmine didn't seem to care that the bird-woman and the soldiers are running away from him, his eight pupils eyes are fixated on one person in front of him, his grin still visible on his face, even though all over his body is his blood, and all the other soldiers' blood mix, while also having a lot of burn marks all over his body.
''You seem pretty confident that you can beat me.'' Karmine said, readying to attack
The shogun didn't respond before disappearing in a flash of purple light reappear behind Karmine while swinging her spear, aiming to cut Karmine head off. Still, before the tip of the spear could even touch Karmine skin, Karmine quickly spun around while also swinging his zanpakuto, blocking the attack while also pushing the shogun back a few feet.
But he didn't stop there. He also rushes forward while also swinging his zanpakuto. The shogun was able to recover fast enough to put up her guard and block the attack from Karmine with her spear handle.
Karmine didn't seem to care; he quickly swung his zanpakuto down again; this time, his speed and force seemed to increase, but the shogun was still able to block, but this time, the ground under her feet seemed to crack from the amount of force behind Karmine attack.
The shogun quickly realises what is happening before pushing Karmine zanpakuto back; she then disappears again in a flash of purple light.
Reappearing above Karmine, in her hand is no longer a spear but a sword and Karmine can feel the power coming out of the shogun sword, clearly showing that she is getting serious.
The shogun quickly swings the sword down, but Karmine can block with his zanpakuto, but the shogun doesn't stop there when the sword makes contact with Karmmine Zanpakuto massive lightning quickly descend from the sky, striking where they are standing.
Inside the lighting, the shogun didn't seem to be affected by the lightning, but what more surprising is that Karmine was still able to stand up tall, with a grin still plaster on his face even though he just got strike by lighting.
Even though the lightning is hurting him and his Blut Vene is activating to minimise the damage Karmine doesn't care. When the lightning disappears, Karmine quickly uses one of his hands that is not holding his zanpakuto. He reaches out and grabs one of the shogun's arms. The shogun's face seems to change to a surprised expression, considering that he just tank the lightning-like it was nothing for the third time.
Karmine then pulls her forward while reading to knee her in the face, but before the knee can reach the shogun's face, a blinding purple light seems to glow from the shogun body, blinding Karmine and force him to close his eyes.
When Karmine reopens his eyes, he can see that his surroundings have changed, the sky has turned dark and with a blood-red cloud that seems to cover the sky, and massive torii gates surround the area that seems to fall all over while some are standing up straight.
In front of him is still the shogun, but this time, Karmine can tell that this person was different from the shogun that he fought before. When Karmine was fighting the shogun before, he could tell there was something off about her, now standing in front of him the shogun with the same appearance, but Karmine can tell this is the real shogun.
[Now this is something very interesting] A female voice can be heard from his head this time; she has a voice that seems to be the mix between seriousness and playfulness, also with a lot of care-free attitude behind it.
'Oh? How's that? Also, who are you?' Karmine thought, responding to the voice.
[You see, master, you might not be able to feel it, but us, zanpakuto spirit can feel the... hm how do I say this? The atmosphere? Yes. The atmosphere. The atmosphere here seems to be the same as the inner world.] The woman answers with seriousness before continuing
[As for who I am, master, flower-chan already told you about me!!] This time her voice is now full of playfulness
[I am the zanpakuto belong to the greatest scientist of all time, the most beautiful!! The smartest!! The greatest!! Crimson princess!! At your service] The voice response with a lot of cheerfulness behind it.

'So, what you are saying is that we in the woman inner world?' Karmine ask
[Precisely, but the difference is, instead of having her zanpakuto spirit see seem to be able to access her inner world and be able to enter with her real body instead of using her soul. This is quite interesting.] she response with seriousness back into her voice.
''You, who no, what are you?'' The shogun's voice rang out, her eyes in the lock on the individual in front of her.
Even though Karmine is full of injuries, he still can stand up completely fine like there is no injuries on his body.
Not only that, the most catching feature that the shogun can detect is Karmine eyes, the eight pupils eyes that seemingly stare at her is giving off a very uneasy feeling like it can see everything about her, both body and soul, not only that, she can feel like, it can see her in both past, present, and even the future itself.
But what unnerving thing about Karmine that the shogun can detect is his aura. Being one of the archons and easily accessing her inner consciousness or soul, she can easily see a person's aura to determine how powerful they are.
Karmine aura is indeed massive, proving that he is very powerful, but what unnerves is not the amount but the thing that is inside his aura. She can see many colours and silhouettes inside that aura.
For a person to have this type of aura, it is to have more than one soul in the body, and in Karmine body is seemingly at least ten souls in his body, something that should not even be possible.
And the silhouettes that seem to stand out the most is not really a silhouette, considering how clear it is. But it is a silhouette of a man with a dark mask of eyes covering the upper half of his face, and his body is seemingly constantly oozing darkness.
And those eyes are seemingly staring at her.
Then Karmine voice rang her out of her thought.
''Me? I'm just you're passing through friendly neighbourhood grim reaper'' Karmine answer.
A/n
this chapter just gives you some small but not very subtle hint of Karmine origin, kinda obvious really but trust me, there is more than the eyes can see.
