Chapter 51: Chapter 49 End of the Past Era 1
As the group gathered around Amane's new models, the other kids couldn't help but get excited about the use of this creations.
Gundams a giant robot, while LBX models were small but sleek and agile.
Kiana, always the adventurous one, immediately ride up the Gundam with Amane next to her as a guide and started using it. "I'm going to pilot this and save the world!" she announce with a grin.
Rin, on the other hand, was drawn to the LBX models. "These look like so much fun to control," she said, her eyes gleaming with curiosity.
Dr. Mei, was not a person to pass up a scientific challenge, started examining the inner workings of the models, taking detailed notes on the technology. "Remarkable craftsmanship," she mumbled to herself as she examined the little robot.
Meanwhile, Sakura couldn't help but chuckle at the chaos unfolding around her. She grown used to the antics of this group.
As for Kevin, he had managed to escape Vill-V's disappearing act and was now discussing the practical applications of these models with Amane.
They combined their ideas of how these advanced machines could be used for various tasks, from construction and to disaster relief.
The group liked the new robots by a lot.
Kiana used the Gundam to move around and do a striking posed of a hero.
The three Rin's played with the smaller, agile robots.
Dr. Mei studied them closely. Eden laughed at her friends' antics.
Mobius and Amane talked about how these robots could help in important ways.
But soon, something unexpected happened. The room shook, and suddenly, they all found themselves in front of the giant portal.
The group stand in front of the giant portal, their faces filled with surprise and confusion.
They were not alone; many other people had also appeared, and everyone was looking around, trying to make sense of the situation. Some were getting scared, while others were asking questions to anyone who might have answers.
"The Fourteenth Herrscher has Descend to the world." Amane said surprising the other and give them a guidance to pass through the portals with the others.
"Dr.Mei, please take care of everyone," Amane asked as he looked at the two sisters, Cai Lin and Die Ba, who had just emerged through the portal. "I need both of you to assist Dr. Mei in every way you can."
The two sisters nodded in agreement and immediately joined Dr. Mei in evacuating people. The soldiers followed her orders without hesitation, paying no attention to the objections from their superiors.
"Amane, I..." Elysia began to speak, her expression filled with bitterness as she clutched a crystalline sword.
But before she could finish her words, Amane surprised her with a kiss. Shocked by the sudden embrace, Elysia chose to savor the moment.
Breaking the kiss, Amane locked eyes with Elysia, his gaze serious. "I won't let you sacrifice yourself," he declared, not giving her a chance to respond.
"But I feel like I have to, my dearest first and last boyfriend," Elysia said with a smile as she leaped away from Amane, slowly transforming into the 13th Herrscher.
"I'm Elysia," she introduced herself, her smile warm. "A beautiful girl with a beautiful name, a member of the Flame Chasers. Just like a beautiful princess, I needed a handsome knight in shining armor," she added, winking at Amane with that radiant smile.
"Because I'm beautiful, I'm willing to embrace my destiny at the hands of my dearest," she continued, her arms outstretched as if accepting her fate. "Now, the princess becomes the villain, and she must be defeated to save the world."
Elysia added with a wink and a smile, "After all, I've set this stage for both you and me."
Her revelation left everyone, including Dr. Mei, in utter shock. None of them had suspected that she was the 13th Herrscher. Perhaps the most surprised of all was Mobius, who had always portrayed herself as a tough and stoic figure.
Despite her tsundere interactions with Elysia, she held deep respect for her playfulness, even in the current situation of the world, she would remain smiling and looked forward to the future.
Kiana suddenly chimed in with a unmused expression, "Eh?... Is that surprising?" She already knew about Elysia being a Herrscher because she, too, was a Herrscher herself. Her experience with her own powers allowed her to recognize the signs in Elysia, even before the revelation.
"Kiana," Amane whispered urgently. "Not every Herrscher can control their alter ego, and you and Elysia are the only exceptions. If Elysia sacrifices herself, the alter ego will weaken."
"Eh, is that so?" Kiana responded, her confusion evident. She didn't fully grasp the complex and the unnecessary drama unfolding among the Flame Chasers, nor the reasoning behind Elysia's sacrifice.
Elysia couldn't help but laugh at Kiana's playful and childishness, her smile were warm as she observed the interaction between Amane and Kiana.
Despite the seriousness of the situation, Kiana's innocence and playfulness lightened the tense atmosphere, serving as a reminder that even in the darkest times, there could still be moments of joy and laughter.
Suddenly, Kiana flicked her finger, and Elysia noticed an immediate change within herself. She looked at Kiana with visible shock as sudden realization came upon her.
The contract between Elysia and her mother, the source of not only her powers but every Herrscher's powers, was unexpectedly fulfilled for an unknown reason.
This sudden development caused the Herrscher Alter ego to be weaken.
Elysia was stunned, not understanding how or why this had happened.
But she felt an overwhelming sense of relief.
She knew that she has a chance to live and perhaps even create a happy future with her dearest.
