Chapter 305: 305- Meet Crocus again

After thinking for a while, Emily gave a tearful look as if she was making a big concession while looking at Ethan. "Papa, you don't need to compensate me ten times. Please compensate me for only the things that are broken."

Ethan sighed, "Wait here for a moment."

Ethan walked into his daughter's room amidst the puzzled looks of Emily and Emma.

Moments later, Ethan walked out of the room and said to the two with a mysterious smile while pointing to his daughter's room, "I guess I don't need to make any compensation anymore."

Before his daughter showed any reaction to what he said, Ethan moved away from the entrance to the room and allowed his daughter and wife to look inside.

What they saw really shocked them.

The room was in a state of chaos and most of the things inside were destroyed before Ethan entered, but now the room has become very tidy and everything has been repaired, as if the room had returned to its previous state before they entered the Grand Line.

Emily's eyes sparkled when she saw vases, paintings, statues, and many art objects returned to their previous condition, as if they had not been broken in the first place.

Emily picked up one of the vases and looked at her father in wonder, "Papa, how did you do this? I'm sure this vase is an original and not a copy of the original but there is no sign of repairs as if the vase had never been broken."

Ethan gently patted his daughter on the head, "I just restored the vase to the way it was before it broke."

Emily was surprised and then tilted her head as she inquired. "Oh! And how did you do that?"

"I am also curious about this." Emma smiled as she looked at Ethan, thinking that he had asked the system's help to fix the room.

"I manipulated time to make this room return to its previous state before we passed Red Mountain." Emma opened her eyes in shock because she didn't know that Ethan could do this now, and this was the first time Ethan had told her that he had succeeded in manipulating time.

"Sigh. Unfortunately I can't use this ability on living beings yet." Ethan looked sadly at the room, which had returned to its previous state thanks to his ability to manipulate time

Emma noticed this and grabbed his hand without saying anything. Although she didn't do anything else, what she did was enough to make Ethan smile as he felt her warm hand.

"Daddy!" Emily puts the vase down and then takes hold of the other Ethan's hand and exclaims excitedly, "Doesn't that mean you can fix the ship in a moment and we can keep sailing?!"

Ethan chuckled. " Yes, I could do that, but I won't."

"Why?!" Emily puffed out her cheeks in annoyance.

"Everyone on this ship has his work, and if I repair the ship in this way, the shipbuilders will not be able to do their work, and because there is no need for the shipbuilders, this means that they will lose their job and...." Ethan continued to explain to his daughter the consequences of what would happen if he repaired the ship and its effect on other people.

After all this, Ethan was able to convince his daughter, then he told her to put the fragile things in cork boxes so that they would not break, because if they broke, he would not fix it again.

Emily begins packing things in her room with the help of the maid while Ethan and Emma leave the room.

Emma looked at Ethan with a smile while trying to tease him. "You really don't want to get involved in everything that's going on on this ship because you find it annoying, right?"

Ethan didn't mind her trying to tease him, "But what I said is still true."

"Anyway, while the sailors are repairing the ship, I want to meet a familiar face."

...

After Emily finished doing her work, she and her parents got off the ship and went on the small island connected to the Red Line that housed a lighthouse.

Some of the maids set up a table for the family to sit in, and then began to bring lunch.

While Ethan was having lunch, he didn't notice Laboon's presence even after using his observation haki, 'Looks like the Rumbar Pirates haven't entered the Grand Line yet.'

[According to the original timeline, the Rumbar Pirates will not enter the Grand Line until two years or less from now.]

'There is still a possibility that they will enter the Grand Line earlier or it is possible that they will never set foot here because of my appearance in the past.' The Mercenary Guild that Ethan had established had instilled fear in the pirates, so not many of them dared to enter the Grand Line.

The system noticed that Ethan was calm and not worried, so it asked.

[Aren't you worried? If they don't enter the Grand Line, a whale named Laboon won't appear in the future.]

'No need to worry. Emma will take care of everything and I trust her.'

Some time after they started eating lunch, a young man came out of the lighthouse, which made Ethan smile because he recognized this person despite his young age.

This was young Crocus.

50 years ago, he had black hair, with yellow parts sticking out resembling a flower. His face was wrinkleless, and he wore a pink hat with black spots on it. He did not have a beard, but instead just had stubble.

At Ethan's request, one of the maids walked over to Crocus and invited him to the luncheon table.

Crocas did not decline the invitation and sat down with Ethan and his family.

"Thank you for inviting me to lunch!" Crocus spoke politely but looked at Ethan warily, "But I didn't expect a nobles to invite a commoner like me to lunch."

"Nobles?" Ethan looked at himself and his family, then at the maids, and knew that Crocus had guessed their identity incorrectly because of how they looked.

"You're wrong. I'm not one of those nobles. I'm just a rather rich man. The reason I invited you to lunch is to thank you for allowing us to use this site to repair the ship."

What Ethan said made Crocus relax and enjoy his meal more.

The two continued talking about random topics while they ate their lunch.

Ethan felt nostalgic because this situation was almost identical to the first time he and the girls met Crocus.
