Chapter 4: Chapter 4 Aurora child, I am here for your head!
Suddenly, a bunch of screams heard from the front yard which caused all of us to get up and run outside.”What happened?”Yuu asked the servants. “A huge oni came and it is attacking the village!”a scared old man said with a shiver.”We’ll take care of it, Gramps.Let’s go!”Yuu said as we all followed without a second thought.
As I run with the others to where the oni was,I couldn’t help thinking about why I am here.This world..the oni…there is more to me being brought here butjust what is it?
“Ahhh!It’s the oni!”the villagers screamed in fear.”Villagers come this way,”Saburo quickly got the villagers attention as they followed him to safety.”Koiji!Right!”Kyosuke and Koiji attacked the oni who dodged the attack swiftly.”Hmph, you have to be quicker than that to catch me.””The oni spoke!”I gasps in surprised.Akaito shook his head,”Duh,what you think?””The other oni we fought couldn’t even speak right.””You fought an oni,”Kyosuke asked in surprised.As our group was so focused on what I said.The oni was about to attack them.
It swiftly tried to attack to Koiji.”Look out!”I called to him as he blocked the attack just in time.”Thanks Hikaru but we can handle it.”The oni laughed at the reassurance Koiji gave me.”Oh really young boy?Haaaaaaah!”It roared as it split into 10 of them.”What the?””Akaito!”Yuu called to him as Akaito then said a spell,” Rai Kruz!” A barrage of fires attack all of them in which they dodge until they dispersed.The oni then attacked them in a blink of the eye.Yuu then charged in the fight and attacked three as the four took on the rest.
My only focus was on the battle as I felt an unsettling presence behind me.”Hmm...You must be the one master talked about.”I slowly turned around as the oni stood there with a smirk.”Get away from me!”I lift my leg to kick the oni dead in the face with my back to him.”Rgh!””Hikaru!”Yuu yelled as I turn to see the real oni was still facing me.The other onis got dispersed.”What’s with this oni?””Hmph,we oni have names you know.We don’t usually tell our prey our names but for you my dear aurora child I tell you.Grei of Blades is the name my master given me,”Grei the oni who was still facing towards me,”Now let’s see if you can dodge my blades.”
Grei attacked me repeatedly as I hurried to dodge them.I can’t get even a little cut or I’ll die.If I die,no I won’t die.Just then, a blade was about to cut my head off,”Goodbye aurora child.”This can’t be! Then a clang was heard.Yuu was in front of me with his sword blocking the blades. ”Yuu!” ”You will not touch her!I’m not going to lose her again.”Yuu roared as he pushed him back. ”Then you can die and take her with you!”Grei got behind us and was about to slice us.
”No!”I screamed as my hand glow red as I blocked with my hand, ”You will not touch Yuu!”The oni’s blades melted in my hand as the oni cried in pain. I got in my fighting stance then attacked him with 20 hit combo with the last hit him in the gut. The oni cried before it glows like the last one and someone else appear from the oni. It was an old man holding a burnt photo.
My hands stop glowing as I couldn’t even stand anymore. The power that suddenly keep popping up…was that what the oni I defeated was talking about?Yuu caught me before I fell to the ground.”Are you ok, Hikaru?””Yuu are you ok?The oni didn’t get you?”I asked immediately not worrying about me as I saw his arm was bleeding.”I’m fine, this is just a scratch.I’m glad you’re okay.””Look at our leader still trying to be tough though the wound hurts like hell.”Saburo said with chuckled.”That’s our leader,”Koiji said as they look us.”Are you two alright?”Akaito asked with a blank look as usual.”Yuu has an arm injury.””Ars.”Yuu’s arm was then healed in a matter of minutes.”Yuu is fine and everyone is fine,”I murmured to myself.Then, I felt my tears rolled down my face.’Why am I crying’I wondered as my tears kept rolling.I was then pulled into a hug by Yuu.He brushed my hair with his hand and wiped my tears with his fingers.”It’s okay.Everyone was saved because of you so there’s no need for tears.”When he said those words, my tears started to flow even more. Yuu hugs me as I start to cry. I was so scared for everyone even me.I thought I may never be able to see my family again. I didn’t want anyone to die.”Don’t cry,Hikaru.”
As I was crying,Koiji check on the man and helped him home as the other check on the damages the oni made which wasn’t really much compared to the villagers’ injuries that Akaito then took care of.
