Going home later that night, after kneeling at the toilet as he felt so sick to his core after hearing Tina talk...
Peter and Tina walked him home, and when he went inside and bid them a good night, Tina went to take Peter home as he felt just as sick as Hiro was now.
And coming inside and closing the door, he saw Mari, his sister, sitting on the couch watching the television and eating some crisps, these thin shipped potatoes.
Seeing her, he remembered how it was just going to be them for the summer as their parents had some official business over seas dealing with a rampaging Sky Giant.
They didn't know the details but they needed to kill it.
Even with this war going on in their own country, they still had to because his father was apart of the higher council and their allies across the sea needed help.
He didn't get it but sorta of understood their situation.
And since they were gone, even though he and his sister never got along at all, he went into the kitchen to make her somethin to eat since she had this really bad diet.
He didn't like her, but his father expected him to do it.
He might have been the little brother, but he was still stronger and the second man of the house, soo, he had to look after his sister when they were gone and fluff.
So talking some time he made her something, and going over to the living room he placed the plate Infront of her.
But she looked up at him with a cold stare, and he said.
"I made you something to eat, imma head to sleep" He said but she didn't answer, she just stared at him with a cold gaze as if she was just hostile to him existing here.
But ignoring her, he left going upstairs to just sleep in.
Yet when he left, she went back to what she was doing, but at least she picked at it, as he made her favorite.
And even if she hated him, she didn't refuse food.
. . . . .
Before he went to sleep he walked to his calendar on the wall, and looking at it, he flipped for months ahead to a circled date, saying, "Ross Imperial University"
"4 months from now starts my first day in collage..."
"And today's only the 1st day of summer..." He sighed.
Flipping back to today, he walked over to his bed and plopped on it, dieing in seconds as he fell asleep.
. . . . .
Feeling a gust of hot air blowing on his back and the rays of sun hitting him, he opened his eyes as it was daytime, but when he woke up he felt really dizzy?
And turning over and sitting at the edge of his bed, his eyes shimmered a bright orange. His room was covered in black, it was ominous and not like that before, but he didn't falter, it could of been his emotional state or...?
Maybe even something else, he honestly didn't know?
But getting up either way as he had to, he didn't want to just sleep the day away while not getting anything done, he still has to prepare for collage and goals for summer.
So rubbing his chin, he started thinking to himself.
"I should probably head over to Peter's or Tina's?..."
He said walking over to his open window, he didn't even remember if he left it open or not, but it was open now and going of to it, he let his room air out with a breeze.
But then he–
Sensed Danger. . .! ! !
Darting his head back, and turning around, the walls had shifted, they were black even without him using a magic sense, and looking at it, a figure started bugging from out the wall, and emerging was a tall, lanky, humanoid.
And freezing up, "A... A Shadow" not of this realm. . .
Looking at this humanoid creature, he was confused.
"Why is a shadow in my room, no, why's it in town?..."
He said as a monster from the underdark appeared.
And looking at it as it just stood there. He asked it.
"Why're you here? Why's an underdaker in our realm?"
But it didn't answered back, but he hoped it would...
He hoped that, it wouldn't leave him with questions.
Because why was it in his house, no, room firstly?
And the more he looked at this faceless creature, the trieder he got, it was like being around it was draining him, until he realized something, and looking down.
He saw his shadow as orange and black everywhere.
And the orange shadow under him was being dragged off on vein like bulges of black, which has spread over to the other end of the creature, like it was gathering it.
And in shock, his breath hardened, and he felt as if being awake right now, was mentally damaging him.
But not even thinking of a psychic attack, he only had noticed what was in front of him right now, and he was shocked, "It's... Absorbing my energy!" he got startled.
Mainly, because it feels like it's been doing it all night.
And possibly might have as he felt so weak right now.
Feeling startled and scared, his eyes burned orange as he didn't know what to do or how to react, but he knew he had to stop it before it took all his necessary energy.
So pulling back, he felt his feet stuck to the floor, and as they struggled to lift, he pulled his hand back, and a burn feeling came to mind as he cycled kinetic energy around him, flowing up from his body's core and across him to his band, finally releasing a mass of energy. . . .As fire.
Shooting swirling flames out of his hand, he quickly acted, lowing himself and slamming his hand on the ground, blasting fire a wave around his feel and also scorching the wood under him, along with the black.
And as he was set free, it started chasing him back to keep him stuck there to take his energy, but he moved quickly and jumped off the ground and kicked off the window, moving swiftly away from that area into the unknown of the black, but knowing that, he cycled his energy into his feet, to keep himself from being bind.
But when he did, the shadows devoured his flames, and trying to grab onto him again, the monster just stood at the end of the room, not even moving as he did all this.
And it was persistent, and extinguish his flames.
So jumping back over to where he was at the window, he touched the window charging up his flames encase he needed to jump out of the window, despite it being on the second story of his house, he built up more fire.
And shooting a wave of fire at the shadow, it dispersed back into the wall, but not dieing despite the radiant damage of his flames which should have taken it out.
Looking around, he couldn't tell if the shadow was the black stuff on his walks or if the thing was hiding in some sort of shadow domain using them like this.
But either way, there was a monster in his house.
And not hesitating to change his flames, he built it up to where fire swirled around his arm to his hand, thrusting it over at the blackened wall, a wave of fire came at it and hit the wall, scorching everything in the area.
But as it had, black crystals fell from out the black.
Seeing it, he knew he killed something.
But the amount, it was over a dozen.
There wasn't a "monster" in his house.
There were monsters inside of his house.
And flinching when realizing that, it was too late for him as he was grabbed by shadow hands, growing from the Window's frame. And pulling him back against it. . . It's all too late for him to break free, because in the next moment, the windowed wall became fully black.
And becoming a room with only walls, he was dragged into the darkness of the wall, where he emerged out of the darkness to see hundreds of faceless shadows as he stood on an ocean of fully stable black water.
And taking in a big breathe of air from the suffocation of an immense second, 3 shadows grabbed and slammed him against the ground, and other kicked him in the gut and one with red eye sockets continued the attack by stomping on him with strength vaster then the others.
It didn't stomp until something broke and he couldn't breathe, and finally lost the last of his air as he was kicked in the face, and had his throat stomped on.
Hitting his stomach once more, and getting him to vomit nothing but stomach acid, it raised its arms, morphing them into blades. . .And with his eyes wide open and him struggling to find air, it stabbed him in the leg.
Forcing him to scream silent as nothing came out.
Nothing at all.
And feeling the despair of the situation, the anguish all around him. Gritting his teeth, fire erupted out of Hiro's body from his core, and in a blazing burst, killed the red eyed shadow and the dozens around him in a big blast.
Vaporizing the ones holding him down, he was now free.
And finally able to breathe, he gassed for air, but then the dozens of shadows still there reacted to his blast and charged at him, shaking the ground of water, and letting him feel how close they were to him. So hitting the ground, he forced himself to breathe and push up.
But with a mere thought in his head to get out of there, he stabbed his hand into the ground, and feeling some resistance, he still managed to dig in, and grab ?????.
Not knowing if it was going to actually work, it had.
And pulling himself out of the black wall, he fell out of it onto the ground causing a loud thud, but not waisting a single second, he tuned on his back and charged up his flames, forming a mass of fire at his palm, shooting it.
Exploding the entirety of his wall, exposing the open sky and sending chunks of wood out against his neighbor's house, the house shook and his head fell back, hitting the ground. His leg was bleeding and the flames had charred the wood beneath him like all around him.
But all of what he knew was he needed to breathe, he needed to restore the oxygen in his blood that was still in him, and analyze the situation of what happened.
*Slam!* his door slammed open.
"What the hell is going on up here!!!" Mari shouted at Hiro in anger, but when coming in she saw her brother laying on the ground while over a pool of his blood.
Seeing that small pool of blood and her little brother on the ground, her eyes widened in shock even as the wall of his was blown out and the others were fully black...
"Hiro!" she screamed and he didn't even react.
Instead his head fell back again, like he passed out.
And running over to him and falling down to her knees, she grabbed him as he was trembling and shaking, and hearing her voice, he opened his eyes to see her worried face, but he didn't get what's going on, especially now.
And seeing her, he grabbed her, hugging her tight as tears fell down his face, he thought he was going to die right then, he felt so scared he felt so much despair.
Seeing her, and seeing that she was safe, he grabbed her and hugged her tight, tears fell down his face, and he thought he was going to die, same as her with him.
He felt so scared, and he felt so much despair...
He didn't even know if Mari was safe or not...
Even if he hates her, he didn't want her to die.
Or even get hurt, he never wanted that for anyone.
"Mari, I- I don't wanna die... I don't wanna die!" he cried.
Grabbing him back as he hugged her tight, she was flabbergasted, and not knowing what to say she held him back in her arms as she looked over to his leg.
He'a bleeding out, and that wound looked as something sharp ran right throughout his leg, so it wasn't from the explosion up here, but she didn't get what happened?
He looked like a complete mess.
And he looked like he's been attacked.
But not asking questions, she grabbed his shoulders and pulled him back up, saying, "Look! You're not going to die, I won't let you die! Just stay here, I'll be back!"
"I'll get something to treat your wound, understand..."
Looking into his eyes to see his tear filled face, she felt her heart ache as she looked at her little brother like this, and getting up, she ran out of the room to get something from her studies to stop his bleeding.
But going downstairs and coming back up.
The room was full of scorched whitewood, charred by a sorcerers phyric flames, and the wall was still blown out but there was something different, the black was gone...
But not caring for such things, she looked for Hiro.
But looking back to Hiro... He was gone as well.
All that was left was a purple amulet.
And, "Hiro..." her voice shattered...
