Chapter 11: First hunt and ducklings
After a minute of silence Lar told all the awakened people " Tomorrow we will separate into two teams the first team consisting of all the boys and the second team consisting of all the girls who had awakened"
Then he looked towards the second group and said to them" You guys would be tasked to collect all the forest vines and you should bring back as many as you can and also go to the the East of the outer area of the forest there are a lot of vines so go there "
They nodded their head in acknowledgement with a little confusion in their eyes but they didn't asked more more about why he needed so many vines for as, far as they knew the only people needed vines were the elderly tribes men who made stone weapons.
The turned his attention to his group and said to them " As for our group both Pu and Vor would be going to the west side of the hill to collect as many rocks as you can and while the rest of us would be going to the east forest to hunt some small wild animals"
The boys also didn't question any of his decision and had firm face which showed there belief in him.
Later that night Lar went to the store room and took out a portion of meat and started to roast them the meat was plain without salt and spices but the meat had special flavour which was considered a bliss for the children but he had hard time eating the food.
The next morning before the first Ray of sun fall upon The Tribe Lar woke up all the children after that he forced them to do meditation for about half an hour which was a herculean task for them still they were able to do it.
After that along with Lar they practiced their martial arts and slowly did exercises by the time they were finished it was already morning and sun had come up all the children were all sweaty and dirty but they were not exhausted but felt more energetic.
Then they went to a relativity safe area of the river to take a bath clean them self and their clothes after that they a separated into two groups and separated while sending the unawaken children back to the cave .
Lar's group went to the North East outer forest area and it took about fifteen minutes to reach the area the outer area was not dense as the inner area of the forest it was filled with Big trees and bushes but the trees were not dense causing the children to move around easily.
while traveling he soon chance upon something which made his excited he ran towards it in order confirms what he saw so he started to dig the soil slowly using is bone knife and soon a it was reviled.
The herb had light coloured, forked shape root a relatively long stack and green leaf it was ginseng and a large one at it. It's over-all size was larger than any he had seen and from the number of steam scars he could tell it was about 600-years at minimum.
He was happy after that he told everyone to look for these herbs and showed them how to remove them soon the boys searched and found many that were younger and older than the first one.
They put all the herbs into the fur bag and continued to move forward ask they went into the forest soon this the tracks of a rabbit the tracks where logic compare to the rabbits of his previous world but he didn't think too much as he had already seen that it and animals of this world were larger and had different features.
Just as Lar was observing the tracks Thar who was by the side was careless for a second just at this moment the bush medicine light moment and a rabbit with unicorn like horn directly jumped towards Thar but Lar who was observing the tracks noticed this moment with his improved senses.
He without hesitation took out a bone knife and thrown it towards the pouncing rabbit utilising improved strength, agility and reflexes the knife went cutting through the the air with a 'sweek" sound towards the rabbits neck.
The knife that hit the rabbits neck twisted and drilled right through leaving behind a blood splash from rabbits neck it splashed some of it into Stones dress.
"Stay vigilant of the surrounding" was all Lar said.
"Ye..s" stammered as both of them replied as fast as taken there was a still had traces of the shock they faced in the the face of danger.
After calming them self they became vigilant and started using there senses and it was now that they understood why Lar wanted them to meditate as they could control there senses more easily and they were able to catch Three more rabbits.
After placing all the games they hunted the group together and as they moved forward they saw a large bird which looked similar to duck but these seem to be larger and seems like they couldn't fly and Lar also saw many ducklings.
"Don't kill the small one try to catch the big one" right after the group heard this they turned into wolf form they still had similar features of a pup as they were not adults but they soon ran after the ducks who tried to run towards the large swap ahead but Thar was able to kill two by biting and catch one by pouncing on it while stone was able to kill two as well after they came back with the game.
When they reached the place they saw that Lar was catching all the ducklings and putting them inside a large fur bag and he was having a complicated look as his bag was filled.
"Ahmm? Lar what are you doing ?" Stone asked with doubt in his voice.
"Oh good thing you came take out your large bag and put all the ducklings you can fill and also collect the egg" Lar said in delighted expression which greatly confused the others around him.
They took out all the fur bags and filled them with eggs and ducklings but many got away as there was a large number of them.
