Chapter 50: The Art of Illusion

Melva was completely alone in a familiar yet quite different forest. It still looked the same as she remembered it, but the feeling was not in any way similar. She had been here before a few days ago and it had been a very lively forest with so many wild animals on sight in every corner. However, the forest she was standing in right now was eerily dark, somehow parched, and it did not seem like there were any signs of animals living here. It was like a twisted reality, a very bad replica of the actual Maltos Forest. An illusion that someone had created and made her see, trapping her in it; it was the only prediction she could think of to explain what was happening to her right now.
